So this stereo does have subwoofer preamps? Just checking cuz on Crutchfield it says it doesn't and I want to order this but not if it done have subwoofer preamps
The AVH-290BT has two sets of RCA Pre-outs on the back of the in dash receiver. They can be set up as Front and Rear, or as Front and Subwoofer out. That is shown in the video at the top of this page.

My subwoofer, amp, and pioneer (this model) are powered. Everything was running properly yesterday but all of a sudden today my speakers all stopped working (sub and amp are working fine still just no sound). How should I diagnose this problem or what is the issue? Could this be a wiring issue behind my stereo or to the subwoofer/amp? Thanks!
Are you seeing any error messages on the screen? I recommend to press the in-dash receiver's microprocessor reset button. You'll need a paperclip or some other small point to press the microprocessor reset button. You can find the microprocessor reset button on the Pioneer AVH-290BT at the top of the hard key panel beside the eject button. can I run my 2 rca cables for my sub or do i need a adapter my sub isnt working
If you don't know what you are doing you should seek professional help at a car stereo installation shop. I don't know anything about your subwoofer. If it uses RCA input then you can set up the AVH-290BT Rear RCA output for Subwoofer output. Can the sub level cause distortion?
Yes. Along with many other factors, including the sub level, sub crossover point, EQ settings, and bass boost, loudness settings. When you use them all together there could be loads of distortion. How do i get My dmh 240bt to send sub power
Please be more specific with your question. The Pioneer DMH-240EX has a Blue wire with white stripe, this is used to switch external devices like amplifiers on and off with the in-dash receiver. The DMH-240EX has a mono subwoofer output cable. You may need to split this connection to accommodate your particular subwoofer amplifier.
If your subwoofer is not powering on, please be sure you have connected the subwoofer's power connection directly to the vehicle's battery and you have a ground connection of the same gauge cable as the power wire.

I have the avh120 bt and the subwoofer settings are grayed out even tho the amp works and everything
There are many ways to operate an external subwoofer amplifier in a car audio system. If it's all working properly, maybe the installer set it up this way with purpose, and it's best to not change it, and the subwoofer control from the receiver are not necessarily required. However, if the subwoofer settings are grayed out, you may have the rear outputs set to full range. Or you have the subwoofer output switched off. Here is a video about Pioneer AVH-110BT. Keep trying to mess with every setting possible for adjusting sound and power of the subwoofers in my car. The sound is so weak compared to the Kenwood decks I've tried this same exact setup on. I feel like I'm missing something or doing something wrong
What is the model number of your Pioneer in-dash receiver?

@@freakingcrazyazzhell The Pioneer AVH-291BT was manufactured back in 2015-2016. This receiver has 2 volt RCA outputs. If previous receivers you have used in this particular set up had a different output voltage, this will require you to adjust the gain settings on the external amplifiers for best performance.
