Love the old silent film vibe going on with this! It's something that can be done in the office without sound, and nothing is missed (except that sweet music).
This video has become part of my daily practice. By actively taking good care of my wrists, I feel confident that I can continue practicing yoga, piano, and drawing without pain. ~ Thank you Adriene for your wonderful channel and positive energy.
Just found this and it’s so cute, had me giggling the whole time while getting the wrist stretch I needed. Thank you for always being the creative, quirky you!
I appreciate you addressing the wrists. It seems often overlooked, but a lot of pressure is put into the hands and wrists. Thanks for the exercises! Also, this tune is infectious.
Yay, you are welcome! Thank you! The music in the video is by my dear friend and stellar talent Shakey Graves. Fellow Austinite too! This song is called Chinatown and you can find a link to him and his goods in the description of this video. Look him up- everyone!!!! xo
Yes, do let Shakey Graves know that his music is a very big part of the Yoga with Adriene experience (almost sounds like a Jimi Hendrix title, lol) that we all love and enjoy :)
Just recently dx w carpel tunnel and told only surgery would heal it. Told surgeon no thank you and after one week of yoga, acupuncture and massage 50% better! Love this video and the music, thank you Adriene❤️
Dear Adriene, Thank you for doing this. I practice yoga, was doing many poses without feeling so good. I followed the image that I had in my mind, rather than listening to myself. I did try to take classes, but it was too expensive and the teacher stacked people up like sardines and I was unhappy. For the first time, I did a side plank by myself, the explanation that you gave about moving the arm before stacking the legs was the genius stroke. Also Tadasana, bakasana and many many more. You are outstanding. Thank you for your time and generosity to explain everything so clearly and your beauty and funny-ness is very much enjoyable too. I am going down the foundation list slowly and thoroughly. everyday is exciting since I will learn a new asana correctly and feel so great doing it well, without pain and not caring how I look doing it. Is there a sarvangasana? I haven't seen it yet. Thanks, blessings and best wishes. --- mona
One of the reasons this channel is my go-to is that as an actor and film geek I love practicing with the help of a kindred spirit with a sense of humour. There's a video dedicated to every joint, mood and creative pursuit, I love it.
Hi Adrienne I have never commented on on a you tube video but I just had to say you --this is fantastic and just made me smile all the way through .Healthy wrists here we come !!!
My goodness! Bless your heart! It is great that you are continuing to use them and not write off Yoga or Rock Climbing! Seriously! I do think with the right mindful practice we can find healing and strengthening in the wrists. Again, there is hope after all! ;-)
Wow, my wrists have been hurting the past couple of days (they flare up every so often) and feel much better after doing these moves! So quick and simple but effective! Thanks as always Adriene ❤️🙏❤️
I have suffered with 'weak wrists' since I was a child. At least once a month I would aggravate them somehow and it would leave me in discomfort for days. I have started doing this every day for roughly 2 months now and the difference it has made is amazing! Thank you Adriene :)
Dude. You are adorable. And as a massage therapist, I forget these simple stretches and how awesome they feel! Thank you for this! I'm stoked I was introduced to your channel. Namaste!
Just started following this year, and these old Silent Movie Homage's are one of the most interesting and attractive. It would be a good format for the end of series ones which you do. Only done one full Revolution so far, catching up slowly, learning all the time. Thank You Adriene.
Love that you have a practice for any moment of life. I was really not motivated today, but I at least took time for myself to sit up tall away from my work (I type all day) and do this short practice and the neck practice. Thank you, Adriene!
Thank you for this. I'm a flute player and a teacher (so my wrists get abused). Sometimes in yoga my wrists are very unhappy. I'm going to start doing this daily (perhaps multiple times a day) to see if this helps (I feel like I have some very tight tendons in my arms, connected to my wrists).
Thanks for doing a video that specifically targeted the wrists! I had multiple wrists surgeries about 10 years ago and always am looking for good stretches for them
Omg!!! Thank you for this!! I love yoga but I always have pain in my wrists. Especially after a lot of planks and dogs! I'm going to do this sequence every day and see if it helps!
This is very helpful! I love the way you edited this video, very nice! I fell off a very tall ladder once and landed on my wrists fracturing them both. This happened 3 years ago and they haven't seemed to have ever healed properly. Though yoga and rock climbing have helped a lot with the strength of my wrists, I still find back bends and hand stands quite difficult. It's such a bummer because I used to do these all the time growing up!
I love this!! after breaking both my wrists in 9 separate fractures (each) this is my new got to before my work out!! gets me all ready for some weight bearing! THANK YOU SO MUCH ADRIENE!!!
NEW EPISODE!!! On this episode we learn a quick sequence for healthy wrists! Everyone can benefit from this practice and it can be repeated daily to improve wrist pain and assist with Carpal Tunnel! With the amount of hours we spend at the computer or at desk it is important to spend some time counter acting and tending to the wrists and all of the muscles that tie the room together. You can practice this at your desk or before yoga practice. You can repeat this sequence or each move 3 times, or do one move a day. I often hear people complain about wrist pain both on and off the mat. There is hope for us yet- lets commit to a practice of checking in with the wrists! Move with your breath and find what feels good - remember a little mindful TLC goes a long way. Enjoy!
I have overflexible wrists so all this bending and stretching comes natural. What also comes natural is the wrist ache =( Is there a sequence for the muscles around the wrist? To make them stronger so that the whole weight of an exercise doesn't forever lie on the joint itself? Thank you for your videos by the way
Love this. It uses all the stretches my doctor gave me to ease my cubital tunnel syndrome symptoms! It's a nice quick flow to use inbetween tasks to work everything out. Thanks!
Thanks Adriene for your constant flow of positivity and love :-) My wrists are very cracky when I do the rolly bit :-/ and have been dealing with weakness and pain in the left wrist for a while... any tips? love x
This was too cute love the song. Just started a very physical job that is rough on my hands, fingers and wrist found this video of yours.... I swear you have yoga for whatever my mind/body needs. Thank you this was perfect!
still love this oldie! doing it before work, when I know I'm going to be on my knees for hours.. seeing it as a nice and kind preparation after my regular practice :)
my 4 yr old thinks you are funny and says he loved this session the best, it was small and fun and wants to do it again :) Thank you ! will it be possible to have a short yoga with kids if possible, please. Thank you for all the love!
2 of 2 ~ but rather gently engage and press thigh into block. Find a balance here based on sensation. Its hard for me to give advice when I am not with you but so find balance based on sensation. Press and gently pull and do not underestimate the power of the breath here- I am serious! I will keep thinking on this too. I am sure you are on the Arnica kick, yes? If not- go get some Arnica gel for that baby STAT. Hope this helps. If you do not have a block a book might suit well.
Ugh just the video I needed! I just finished my bed time yoga and my wrists were killing me but God that gave me instant relief! I'll repeat it everyday, thank you so much ❤
This is really helpfull. I'm practicing plank pose and did not feel comfortable with my wrists. But after this lovely warming up, my wrists are now having a good time. Thank you adriene :)
Love this! thanks Adrienne! I broke my wrist a few years ago and I'm always looking for new ways to keep it stretched out and nimble!! much appreciated!
Wow this was adorable! I’ve broken my wrist 3 times, so many positions have been pretty difficult for me... guess I’m going to start doing this before every yoga session now!
Im a new viewer and totally new to yoga. I did a vew of ur biggnner and foundation videos last night really enjoyed them I was sick for a few days with the flu and after doing ur vieos I felt great today no head cold.. i think all the breathing and movement really helped... iv also been suffering with proplems in my right wrist for months now and iv had injections in both my elbo and wrist bu they havent worked so im so glad u made this video as iv never known a good way to try help the pain with out medicines....
Wrists were feeling really tight today. My daily practice usually eases them but not today. Quick search and found this quick routine that really helped. Going to incorporate this into my day everyday ☺ Thank you for this!!!!❤
Feeling a little bit of carpal tunnel in my left wrist this week. I knew I could count on you. Thanks, Adriene! To say thank you, I'll post my best tree pose on IG today for the promotion you're doing.
Like you said Adriene, "gracefully and gratefully" 😊 well done...all the best to you and to all those around you who are making this amazing experience happen 👏👍💖
I've been having wrist problems since the middle of 2014 (it's February 2015 now) and I didn't know what to do with the pain in my right wrist! I'm so lucky that I found this video or else I was going to chop of my hand! THANKS!
I love this!!!! It really helped my wrists to feel rejuvenated and renewed. I am doing your #30daysofyoga and am loving it!!!! On day 29 now. Thanks Adriene :-)
Great video again. Very creative! And the music was well chosen. I really appreciated this practice. I got curious to do it and happy for doing so. Also good for writers. It relaxes and stretchs highly effective. Namaste.
Good Morning Adriene! Thank you for this! How often should I do this? Every day? Every other day? Love it! I'm up to day 9 in your 30 days (but today did the non wrist yoga and this instead as my wrists are really hurting from something else - lifted weights).
Love it! Thank you so much for this. I do yoga on a rug on top of carpet and 2 mats so my wrists feel like they get a little abused. Great video...I like the way it was shot and the music was amazing! :)
perfect, I've been trying to build flexibility and strength in my wrists, I shall practice this regularly. I love the music btw, I'll be looking up shakey graves asap.
I have a very sensitive wrist from an old injury, which acts up when I do too much with it. I just did this routine and it felt so good! I was wondering if you have some tips for sensitive knees as well? Thank you, I've been loving your videos! X
Love the old silent film vibe going on with this! It's something that can be done in the office without sound, and nothing is missed (except that sweet music).
I was just watching this video in the living room and my husband came running and started dancing with me! Lol I love him :D
I absolutely love the old film vibes, and the music, and the puns❤️
This video has become part of my daily practice. By actively taking good care of my wrists, I feel confident that I can continue practicing yoga, piano, and drawing without pain. ~ Thank you Adriene for your wonderful channel and positive energy.
You are so welcome! I love these silent hygiene videos- practice them daily for the best results. No more wrist pain!!! xo
Just found this and it’s so cute, had me giggling the whole time while getting the wrist stretch I needed. Thank you for always being the creative, quirky you!
Frrrr
I love seeing what you were doing 5 years ago and how your channel has evolved. Thanks again!
I appreciate you addressing the wrists. It seems often overlooked, but a lot of pressure is put into the hands and wrists. Thanks for the exercises!
Also, this tune is infectious.
My first time seeing this video today as I searched yoga for wrist pain. It was fun and quirky and helpful! Thank you
Love this. I return to it every time my hands and wrists need some TLC.

I love this little video. It warms my hearts!❤
And great for bowlers! I love it. (And I love to go bowling) Great to hear from you- sending hugs back to you!
I've got horrible arthritis pain in my wrists, and this really seemed to help! Thank you... and your sunny personality makes me giggle.. :)
Love the silent film style sequence! And the stretches are simple but effective, too. =)
You are so welcome! I am loving the Silent Yoga Series vibe as it unfolds. xx
I've done this so many times I have the sequence memorized. Now I do it before and after my regular practice! Love it.
Dear Adriene,
Thank you for doing this.

I've done this video at least 5 times over the last week, and I just enjoy it so much! It's entertaining and engaging (that's song!
One of the reasons this channel is my go-to is that as an actor and film geek I love practicing with the help of a kindred spirit with a sense of humour. There's a video dedicated to every joint, mood and creative pursuit, I love it.
