Hi Adriene... Following all your videos from India. It is really effective and feel really good .. can u upload videos on hormonal imbalance.. it would be great!!!
Yoga With Adriene this is great as I am a street artist who uses spray paint for huge outdoor murals - can you do a video for soles of the feet too as up and down ladders and also running marathons ( 34 marathons so far! ) really takes its toll on my feet
I have allot of friends who want to start but that I think are discouraged by their lack of mobility, anatomy + being unable to do certain positions straight away. Unless i've missed it a 'Rookie mistakes'/ 'yoga 101' video would be just awesome to help initiate the mentality of yoga and help address some common misconceptions or position mistakes that can be harmful. (downward dog is bad for a slipped disk for example) Maybe add in a bit of your history with yoga and why you love it so much. 20-25 minutes would be perfect too as whenever I suggest over 30 to a newby they're like 'No thanks!'. This is what I imagine: 5 minutes meditation (with you saying some nice things like 'the fierce awesome person that you are' and general yoga ethos) then down to back (maybe the cross legg twists?) then rocking on your back position to bent knees forward fold to sky reach Warrior with Cobra & CatCow thrown in there somewhere then on your back to hug the knees in and finish with back meditation for another 5 mins.
Can't wait to try this after my shift tomorrow. I work as a phlebotomist and it is very repetitive work. Often find my fingers to feel to feel really tight in the mornings especially, - quite uncomfortable.

Thanks Adriene. I am currently in hospital recovering from severe anxiety. We do your videos here about twice a week as part of our therapy. Thank you for these wonderful videos. They really help. 😀
Hi Sarah, I did notice increased calmness in myself from doing yoga 2 or 3 times per week. THen I wanted to do 30 days straight of yoga to prove to myself I could do it and to see if what I experienced was different than doing it 2 or 3 times. I failed a few times trying at first, but then succeeded once I figured out some strategies to help overcome my personal challenges that kept knocking me off course. What I noticed from doing it (I'm actually on day 89 straight right now) is that I get calmer and calmer and things that have stressed me out a lot in the past aren't as stressful to me now. I still would like them to not exist, but I don't get so stressed out and anxious about them now. I feel like there's more space inside myself, I don't know how to say it better than that, but it's a good feeling and is calm compared with the anxiousness I'd been spiraling in before. Also sitting quietly and meditating by just watching my thoughts and stopping them when they are upsetting thoughts and I notice they are there has helped a lot too. You could do that anywhere and no one would even know. If you can do yoga every day, even a short one like 15 minutes or so it will add to your increasing calmess. It builds. Te calmness builds with doing it daily - for yoga or meditation. I made a video too on how I finally figured out ways to overcome the challenges that kept knocking me off course with doing it every day. My issues may not be the same as yours, but maybe they can give you ideas on how you could make doing yoga every day work out (in case there are things there that might make it seem not likely). I also noticed that when I do it in the morning, the whole rest of the day goes waaaaaayyyyyy better than if I do it in the evening. I think yoga in the evening is great and better than no yoga. I feel it would be ideal as a second yoga pracice because nothing makes the day feel easier than when I do it in the morning. All the best. Keep watching inspiring videos and do what you can in your own mind to calm those pesty thoughts that cause stress. You can do it!
Hi Sarah, I’m reading a book by David Perlmutter, he’s an American neurologist and after reading what he’s said I’d advise you to have your gluten sensitivity checked. He’s also high up in the American Nutrition organisations and very highly respected. It’s not going to hurt trying gluten free for a few months to see if that helps your anxiety. He’s got case studies that do see massive improvements. I hope you are well.
Sarah M that's wonderful what a blessing, keep it up and I second the 'gluten' except it's just pretty much carbs in general! All the best to you sis that you feel more awesome every day xx
Just did this as my Feb 2021 calendar practice and I really needed this caring hands practice and Adriene is so right. When I first began my practice I had a hard time with my wrists and I had to take breaks often but I always kept listening to the cues ADRIENE gives and regular practice really helps in relieving wrist pain and strengthening this area. I’m so glad I’m doing this, showing up for me and getting better in my yoga practice both on and off the mat. As always, so grateful for your advice and guidance ❤️
Hi William, how is your hip nowadays, I have pinching pain in outside my upper left leg , it was ok until I have been making more yogi bicycles etc. did you find good streching videos which helped?
I am excited to do this session on Feb 4, 2021. Can't wait to do this tomorrow. Who all are doing it for the bridge playlist? Give me a high five- you are amazing.
Blessed Beloved Beauties! Begin Day -29 is a deliberate practice which is how I prefer to instruct when I host my yoga sessions. I appreciate the attention to detail in this practice. Now, I am focused on my purpose throughout this day. It's time for meditation 🧘🏾♀️ and a run. 🏃🏿♀️
This was fabulous. I've had a few frustrating years on the wrist front- a climbing wrist injury kept being aggravated by yoga , meaning I can't consistently do two of my favorite forms of exercise. Finally, I found a way to hold my hands in downward dog that doesn't feel potentially leading to re-injury. Thank you for this
As you closed this video, rubbing hands together and placing them on heart , a little emotion came up there ! This senior yogi suffers badly with arthritis hands which often affects my yoga practices. Your loving way just touched me and the exercises made my hands feel good, improving my comfort in downward dog. Awesome, love you Adriene 🧘🏼♀️🧘🏻♀️🙏💞
Gill Smith Hi Gill, have you changed any of your diet to help with your arthritis? My tip would be to cut down on meat and dairy and cut out ALL processed foods, especially sugary foods. Increase leafy green vegetables and fruit. But what is also important is to drink lots of fresh water. Please try this for a couple of months to see if this helps. Try adding some organic turmeric into your fruit smoothies with lots of spinach or kale x
Thank you Don, I appreciate your advice. I love my yoga and I will try your suggestions to see if it helps. I eat little meat and drink much water but I must increase my veggies. Thank you 😊🙏🏻
@@gillsmith6740 Hi there. I'm in my 60s and have arthritis in my hands too. One huge treatment that has helped immensely is boron. I've been using it since the beginning of 2016 and it has saved me. Loving Bridge so far, but also doing some of Breath again with it, since these have been short practices. Hope everyone is still showing up on the mat each day!❤️🧘♀️
Wow! That change of hand placement in Down Dog made such a difference. I could feel my shoulders open and I do believe that one day DD could actually become a resting pose 😊 Thank you Adriene!
Day 4 of BRIDGE. A really helpful practice. I started with Gentle Morning Yoga, as I woke up stiff and achy. So now I'm up and running! Thank you Adriene xx Namaste 💟💟
I just did this practice the morning of 4 Feb 2021 in Cyprus. A dog began to bark outside here and it seemed the most normal thing that Benji went right over to the window to check it out! This seemed to be really good for my downward facing dog and I'll try to be more conscious of my finger placement in future. I'm a pianist, so finger stretches have lots of benifits!
I am amazed how one small tweak of positioning my hands could make such a difference to downward dog. Now just have to try and remember to do that trick every time.
It's 12:30 AM for me! I always do it as the last thing for the day! Helps me relax, so I always laugh when she says to stop thinking about your to-do list for the day. After this, it's a cup of tea and sleep!
BEGIN 29 and my hands and wrists loved this class.. I am a crocheter so I tend to hurt my hands unintentionally and this class took the tension and pain of the day off of my hands ❤❤namaste 🙏
Ohhh!! This looks fun to do on this early beautiful Sunday morning especially given the fact that I began practicing to strengthen my wrists to hopefully do the crow pose one day. My wrists are still to shakey to carry the weight of my body right now, but i'll get there. I know I will. An empowering magical video as always Adriene. Thank you for being you, helping us recognize the beauty and strength of our own body and teaching us to love ourselves more often. Keep strong everybody. Let's crush it with kindness. Namaste.
Shandan - you def will! My wrists were weak when I first started yoga. I couldn't even stay in down dog very long and I thought I just had weak wrists and it would stay that way. Within maybe a couple months at the most, maybe less, I could stay in down dog a long time and my wrists stopped hurting at all. I am starting to be able to do crow pose. A little at a time, I'm getting it. You def can, especially since you know you can!
Wow. Have I really practiced yoga for 34 days in a row now? Thats a personal best for me. Its not about a number, more about the scale of commitment, and I am committed to UNITY within myself. May all of you have a great day. Let us be the BRIDGE. Thank you Adriene. Namaste 🙏
I'm a person who holds lots of tension in the hands, i have issues with anxiety and i'm always digging my nails, picking my cuticles, eating my nails, cracking my knuckles.. all sorts of things, and i always think most of my anxiety resides in my hands, so this video was so helpful and i felt like i was finally being gentle with my hands and treating them well and letting go of all the tension, thanks adriene!!
KISS practice. this is a challenging one for me because it's so detailed, but then it's so worth it! I really feel a difference in down dog, how is worth it to take the time :)
So happy this was today's video! Even after doing yoga regularly for a few years, I get out of the habit of putting my hands in correct position for downward dog!
Sometimes coming to the mat is the simplest way to give some self love. I wish you all here (from BRIDGE or otherwise) a very pleasant day and lots of love! Thanks for practicing together!
Day 34. Every day for 34 days. Thank you all who have been my companions on this journey of 2021 so far. I am finding these Bridge sessions really helpful as I started with little knowledge, so something like where to put my hands for downward dog made it feel good. Thanks Adriene for making it possible. Still struggling for my best version of dancer's pose .....
Aug 29, 2022 05:31 Intention : begin to be aware of my hands Wow how amazing it is to be aware of my hands with the breath how a movement can make a difference, I am grateful for learning this technique Thank you Adriene See you tomorrow beautiful souls Namaste 🙏🏼😘

I can't believe what a change I felt in downward dog when I rotated my hands differently. It took all the pressure off my wrist and I felt so much stronger! Thank you!!
Wow!! What a difference. I find that the only thing missing from a home practice is a teacher being able to help you adjust. You managed to do it perfectly here! Thank you!

Wow, came here for BRIDGE and at the end of the video I felt like my wrists are waking up! And that downward dog tip was a game changer! Also, I just have to say this- This video was so happy! I really loved your energy Adriene! and you look so beautiful!
This whole time i've been doing the downward dog the wrong way and I sometimes find it uncomfortable being at that pose and so much pressure. And OMG now I know why its because of the positioning of my wrist! It is so crazy how one action and one movement could change the whole posture and change the feeling into ease and comfort. This is incredible, now I know why and its so good to know. Now downward dog is one of my favorite postures. Thank you Adriene! This bridge calender is teaching me so much and i am glad i signed up for this. Namaste everybody
I swear, God works with Adriene on my behalf 🙏 I have the beginning of arthritis in my thumbs and tendonitis in my wrists. Today's Kiss day 4 was spot on for me. I grow more grateful for the practice, the intent, and this Kula every day. Namaste`
It's in the middle of the night here, we move to our new home tomorrow. My body was aching, my brain was on fire, but I promised myself to keep going with the daily practice. These 18min connected me to my breath again and to remember all I learned from you Adriene since I joined the journey with you and this awesome community. Love you. Thank you. Namaste
Due to Lupus flare, the small joints in my hands have been giving me a lot of trouble. This practice was great and released some of the tension in the tissue. I will def. come back to this one. Thank you Adriene 💜
Adrienne, you and this community (and Benji of course:) have provided me so much relief- emotionally, mentally, and physically. I've been dealing with Generalized Anxiety Disorder for years now as well as occasional depression. I've made countless lifestyle changes, all of which have been beneficial, but the biggest shift has come from doing your videos consistently for close to a year now. I'm more mindful throughout the day of both my thoughts and the way I carry my physical body. I have less migraines which I attribute to bringing the breathing exercises from the mat into my day- especially those times when I notice my thoughts are racing or my shoulders have made their way up to my ears from tension! I hope anyone suffering from anxiety, depression, loneliness, being human reads this and sticks with your videos. Like you said a little goes a long way.( I practiced a 10 minute video from my bed yesterday and sure enough, felt the difference afterwards). Yoga combined with your meditation videos truly goes a long way. To those who may be suffering today, in addition to Adrienne's videos, I also use guided meditation from 'The Honest Guys' (here on UA-cam)- also life changers. Lastly, this video has helped me tremendously with my anxiety and insomnia-- I fall asleep to it every night: ua-cam.com/video/JTqktSAmG30/v-deo.html. So THANK YOU, Adrienne, and to this community- I hope you have an amazing day and continue to believe in your awesomeness as a kickass human being!!!!

Holy. Freaking.Cow.....What a difference the hand placement made to downward facing dog! I also did some planks, both regular and side. No pain! Thank you Adriene!
I had missed this Tips For The Hands, got to it today, great, never ceases to amaze me how a simple change of position can make such a difference! my downward dog a revelation!! brilliant. xx
That practice flew by so quickly but I learnt so much! I think it’s so important to remember our foundations aren’t just our feet placement in a pose but that tools like our hands must also be conditioned to be used correctly to ensure we get the most from our practice and protect ourselves. Loved this so much ❤️ namaste Adriene, Benji and everybody! Happy Sunday💕💕💕🌸
The joy of following a monthly journey is that you get to try classes that you wouldn't necessarily seek out - like this one. But boy did I need it. This is my first time back to YWA and my first bridge video because I felt like my wrists needed this. Always a pleasure meeting you all again fellow BREATH people ❤️
Hello lovely friends! During today's practice, the epiphany I had was the following: "If I show up for practice, practice will show up for me." Bruce Lee once told his student that the technique that works is the one you practice. Since starting my journey, I've been branching out to yoga studio practices and creating new friendships. Today was a breakthrough for me in class in an unexpected way; my body was giving up on me heavily in painful ways, but I just modified my poses and kept going. At first, I felt really self-conscious that I was the only one on my knees when people were doing forward lunge; but then I caught myself comparing myself to others. I was a) breathing b) listening to my body and c) taking child's pose and rest as needed. Everything else didn't matter anymore and I felt at ease. I have to always remind myself the foundations I learned since Day 1. Building my courage up from beating myself up in private, to finding that zen in public was crazy growth for me. And thank goodness for wrist practice today with Adriene, I needed this as well. Namaste my friends 🙏
I'm playing flute in the play "Shakespeare in Love", so I used this video to stretch my hands and arms. And yes, I recognized the quotation! "For saints have hands that pilgrims' hands do touch, And palm to palm is holy palmers' kiss. Good pilgrim, you don't give your hand enough credit." RJ Act I Scene 5.
About to go sit at a keyboard and type all day, like I do every day, and this made me realize that I would be totally lost without my hands. Absolutely need to take better care of them and show them the love and support they deserve 👐😘
Great practice today. This week's set of practices are a nice change from the work we did last month. I've carved out time in my day for practice. It's been amazing.

I was just wondering what schedule you were on! Your messages helped so many people last month. Glad to see you here! 🙏
@@williamb7275 That’s so nice to say! It’s good to see you here William!
I've been revisiting HOME from last year in addition to these videos!
@@danapettygrove9500 HOME is a good one.
Learning that trick with the hands gave me the foundations for the best downward dog I have ever done - it felt so yummy!
To whoever might be doing this during the Kiss month, you go!
Essential for those who draw/type all day. Thanks a lot, Adriene!
I am amazed how one small tweak of positioning my hands could make such a difference to downward dog. Now just have to try and remember to do that trick every time.
I thought the exact same thing. What a difference. And I’ve been doing this for years.
Wow oh wow! Been practicing for a year and had no idea this video would be so effective.
Thank you Adriene 🧘🏼♀
Hey fellow bridge people! I had to laugh when Adrienne said “let the day go this far” it’s 8:00 am and the first thing I do is yoga, to funny
It's 12:30 AM for me! I always do it as the last thing for the day! Helps me relax, so I always laugh when she says to stop thinking about your to-do list for the day. After this, it's a cup of tea and sleep!
*KISS - Day 03 :* Night
I can't believe how much I needed this one ❤️❤️
Thank you teacher 🙏
Namaste ☮️❤️🍦
Thank you Adriene ☀️
Day4 Bridge Febr’21
See you tomorrow 🧘🏻♀️
Namaste 🙏🏻
Wow! I had no idea how important hand placement is. Thank you Adriene for the excellent teaching in this class.
Day 28 of POWER! What a beautiful practice for a beautiful Sunday morning! Much needed reminder that the hands need some love too! NAMASTE ❤️
Namaste, Wendy! xo

Intention : begin to be aware of my hands
Wow how amazing it is to be aware of my hands with the breath how a movement can make a difference, I am grateful for learning this technique
Thank you Adriene
See you tomorrow beautiful souls
Namaste 🙏🏼😘
It seems like we are the only ones on the calendar. I am sure there are others but if not, we just keep going!
@@williamb7275 I think Simplyfabulous is here too, I try to boost up my movement a little bit, and I have been doing Adriene's Weight Loss yoga instead, thought I would do BEGIN calendar ones in the evenings, today I did yesterday's Bed time yoga this morning😂
@@williamb7275 👋🏾I'm in it with you all☺
@@hannalofman2444 I did the same thing yesterday lol.
@@loveannbea Yes, after I commented, I looked back over a few days and realized I simply had practiced earlier than most. 😛
Thank you!
WL Day 17, Namaste 💛
Thanks Adriene! I'm currently moving through your Yoga Revolution 30 Days for the second time, I think it's your best 30 day challenge and so beneficial. Namaste 🙏
I'm also working away at Revolution right now! It is quite challenging. I love it!

Thanks to this video, I found so much more support in my palms than I was conscious of before! My crow pose was much easier. Awareness makes all the difference. Thank you, Adriene!!
Begin Day 29 🌿 Always good to go back to basics every now and then ✨
Wow, came here for BRIDGE and at the end of the video I felt like my wrists are waking up! And that downward dog tip was a game changer!
Also, I just have to say this- This video was so happy! I really loved your energy Adriene! and you look so beautiful!
I wish I'd done this one before! Great tips on hand placement, thank you
WOW did my wrists and hands need that stretch. I love a good foundations class, thank you Adriene!
Lovely wee practice 🧘🏻♂️ Thank you Adriene 🙏
This whole time i've been doing the downward dog the wrong way and I sometimes find it uncomfortable being at that pose and so much pressure. And OMG now I know why its because of the positioning of my wrist! It is so crazy how one action and one movement could change the whole posture and change the feeling into ease and comfort. This is incredible, now I know why and its so good to know. Now downward dog is one of my favorite postures. Thank you Adriene! This bridge calender is teaching me so much and i am glad i signed up for this. Namaste everybody
it is simply incredible that all these loving practices are accessible to all; they have truly changed my life
I swear, God works with Adriene on my behalf 🙏 I have the beginning of arthritis in my thumbs and tendonitis in my wrists. Today's Kiss day 4 was spot on for me. I grow more grateful for the practice, the intent, and this Kula every day. Namaste`
holy cow. the workshoping of downward dog with arms wide and rotated externally was a game-changer. Such relief! thank you!
Thank you Adriene for your dedication to your UA-cam yoga community! You help me stay healthy, strong, and focused! Love you lots! ❤️
It's in the middle of the night here, we move to our new home tomorrow. My body was aching, my brain was on fire, but I promised myself to keep going with the daily practice. These 18min connected me to my breath again and to remember all I learned from you Adriene since I joined the journey with you and this awesome community. Love you. Thank you. Namaste
Wow - I always get such great benefits and results from doing this practise! Thank you Adriene, you are an amazing teacher! And so inspiring
Thanks Adriene! After 304 days of yoga I am still excited to join you each day :) Have a happy sunday xx
That up and down wrist motion simple as it is is pretty amazing! Boosh!
Connection > position -- a new mantra for me!
BEGIN 🌱 | August 29, 2022 | Always good with a reminder of good yoga. hygiene! I did this one later than usual, my workday ran long, so it was nice to get to move and stretch the hands and arms after a full day on my laptop! 🙏
Just that little tweak in rotating the hands in downward dog is a game changer for me. Thank you SO much. ♥️
Thank you Adriene, namaste x
You Rock Adrienne!🙏🏻
Wow! My bartender/server/weightlifter hands really really loved this. Thank you Adriene!
Holy. Freaking.Cow.....What a difference the hand placement made to downward facing dog! I also did some planks, both regular and side. No pain!
Thank you Adriene!
Loving opening the hands out in down dog. Excited to incorporate that going forward!
I've always been unsure about my hand placement in down dog. But doing like that just feels so much better now. Thank you!
Good morning Adriene.
Happy Tuesday.
Thank you. Wrists feeling good.😊😘❤️🌹🙏☀️
The joy of following a monthly journey is that you get to try classes that you wouldn't necessarily seek out - like this one. But boy did I need it. Who knew that turning fists downwards could be so intense - but as I say, clearly needed. Loved the pickle jar opening analogy! Day 4 of Bridge - done! Thank you Adriene and Benji
Good morning to everyone taking part in FEBRUARY 2021 BRIDGE practice 🙏 after completing the 30 day breath with Adrian I didn’t want to stop.
This is such a wonderful community of people, I read through some of the comments after each practice and it lifts my spirit knowing that so many other people are sharing this journey. I send love and light to you all 💚
100% not been doing downward Dog right until now🙈
THANK YOU ADRIAN for sharing so many wonderful practices with us 🌸
Thank you for this one!! Thank you for helping this 65 yr old find her strength, calm and inner joy! And I tried the Down Dog suggestions and WOW! It went from an ok position for me to one of power, calm and ease. Ive been practicing with Adriene almost daily now, for almost 3 months. What a huge and loving positive impact in and on my life. I cannot express the deep gratitude I have for you and all you do, for all of us!
This is my first time back to YWA and my first bridge video because I felt like my wrists needed this. Always a pleasure meeting you all again fellow BREATH people ❤️
Benjy being all stoic and serious, yet enjoying the heck out of being held, I love it
Hello lovely friends!
Holy smoke this was helpful! To arrive here after a month of Daily Breath-vids upgraded the experience/my practice in one sparkly go. Thank you!
Appreciative of a gentle class today as full of cold. Always feel better. Thanks Adriene ❤️
I needed these tips too! Made downward dog so much more enjoyable. Yay! Bridge is going so well!
Here's from another flutist, this sure feels good and effective. Thanks for the Shakespeare quote :)
Very much enjoying the Feb 2021 Calendar ... think this is gearing up to become a "Best of YWA" month. Namaste
I don't know what it is, but that practice got me all smiley and care free 😊❤️ thanks Adriene
Yoga with you makes me feel so good. No matter the day I had, coming to the mat has been my new goal everyday. I did Breath and now bridge. Love forever
I’m here for BRIDGE and loving this continuation of my new Yoga Journey!
I also wanted to give a nod to the wonderful Romeo and Juliet reference with “Holy Palmers Kiss!”
Thank you, Adriene. Hands are important parts of our body which also need care and love. Love from Vancouver. Namaste. :)
I'm a musician (guitar and piano player) and this felt SO GOOD!
Day 401
It's good to remember the basics. And it's even better to slow down.
Namaste! 🙏
thank you for continuously helping us learn how to take better care of ourselves
A great gentle way to start into this very grey monday. Feeling good and ready to start the day. Thank you!
The first time that downward dog felt right! Thank you for going back to basics! 🙏🏼💙
This is probably one of the most valuable videos that I concentrated on about a year ago. It taught me how to do Downward Dog. I never could hold the pose before because my hands were not placed properly. This one is love🥰 for the wrists and hands♥️ Thank you, Adriene
So much more difference in my downward dog !! My left wrist was a bit rusty and now my hands are so light ! Loved it !
