Project Cars 2 is not sold anymore, weirdo people that made these games, licences... Big Fail, the ATARI years are back. PS5 Pro or PC, it does not matter.
Yup! And nicely illustrated, btw. I wondered why Ubi could never get hard. They really should, though, make a positive change and become transparent, and then change their name to 'Ubishaft'. Better yet 'Ubisoftshaft'. In fact, I think the latter is the official name of their hub in Germany. XD
Sony can't upgrade the cpu because it would create a situation where after the ps6 comes out there are games that can run on ps5 pro but not on ps5, and sony doesn't want that since that would make the pro a ps6 lite. Same reason the ps4 pro had the same trashy jaguar cpu
games are optimize on cpu architecture, by switching to something different would make a huge difference, that´s why even the xbox one x had the same cpu.
A stronger CPU isn´t an issue, as others pointed out, but there is a different reason. You have 2 different hardware configurations to accommodate for. This is the reason why mid gen refresh consoles are pretty useless to be honest. The weaker base console still has to be fully supported with the new games, which also means it holds back the "Pro" version of a console. Obviously, they could make 2 different versions, but that would unnecessarily skyrocket the development costs. The PS4 was a great counter example though, since developers just said f u to the owners and just optimized their game for the PS4 Pro, while the PS4 could struggle to even hit the "cinematic" 25fps.... you can just blame Sony, who isn't doing quality checks, and the developers for this.
Tbf tho, if you're already spending like 800+$ plus a monthly subscription fee on something as non essential in your life as gaming. Literally why not just but something more expensive and by many metrics objectively better at that point? It's not even like you're even saving significant money with a PS5 pro, If you want to save money you can just get a regular PS5 and have everything essential, and if you're gonna go premium you may as well get something better than the PS5pro, it's nearing the tail end for it's generation and it's almost like they released it just in time for it to start getting outdated. At least if you get a stupid overpriced PC your platform will likely be relevant for much longer.
Honestly the ITX form factor is too expensive, is recommended for people that have cash and no space, but for everyone that can have space for a mid tower now days you can get a decent dirty cheap. I really want to stress only spend on things that you acually need. Also don't never pair the best CPU with the midrange gpu, there is no point, this is a gaming 3d vcash, has the same performance in productivity as 7700 non x wich is 200 bucks or less sometimes. Get only that CPU if you plan to upgrade the gpu later. But usually you should keep yours for 2 generations to optimize the spending.
My pc performs maybe 15% behind the ps5 pros estimated performance and cost $500 total but look tech in general is too expensive right now so i get what you mean.
@ItzYell0w33 Ryzen 7 5700x+RX6750 XT+16gigs DDr4 3600mhz ram bit slower latency then id like oh and 500gig nvme ssd for now getting a RX6900 XT and 1TB nvme SSD soon. Best part i dont need the power i play older games i.e 2021 and earlier so yeah. 5700X3d+RX6900 XT upgrade will mean for $400 more im crushing the ps5 and pro versions.
-This build is way overkill and at the end there is literally within the conclusion reference to how the parts are more expensive than they should be. A simple AM5 motherboard is way cheaper (e.g.MSI PRO A620M-E at 84,90 euro atm) and at stock TDP will support the same performance. Also, and this part is something that keeps being forgotten by friends of mine who play PS5 you have to pay to be able to play online. Free to play excluded ofc. Going from essential tier which is 8,99 euro per month based on a 5 years left of lifespan for the console (estimate) you would pay (12*8,99)*5= 539,40 euro. Just for being allowed by Sony to use online services on games you already paid for. Add that 540 euro to the base cost of a ps5 pro at 799 euro and you are getting pretty close to this budget of 1.5k' ish. This is not even counting the extended service and costs of Extra (125,99 euro per year and 5 yrs at 629,95 euro or Premium at 151,99 euro per year at 759,95 euro!!) PS5 Pro plus 5 years of PS Plus: - Essential 799 + 540 = 1339 euro - Extra 799 + 630 = 1429 euro - Premium 799 + 760 = 1559 euro and that' s not even counting for inflation or the new controllers you are going to buy because of stick drift. On PC you'd get a cheap 30-50 euro wireless HALL sensor controller and call it a day. Plus you can use those controllers on android, iOS, Bluetooth or Switch, etc. -Also on PC you can emulate every generation of PS backwards. And lots of other stuff e.g. Xbox, switch, NES, SNES, Gamecube, Dreamcast, etc. etc. -Want to play an old game let's say Red Alert 2? Cant. Older game on console? Good luck finding servers. PC can self host or custom host. -Another point of concern would be the repairability of a console OR possible upgrades down the line - if one of your soldered down RAM chips dies on you, or the onboard storage dies aka shits itself due to wear and tear, PSU, etc etc. Then you are basically done for. Repairs will take precision soldering if even possible due to SONY exclusive OEM parts. If you wanted to upgrade to better and faster CPU or GPU - well you can' t. In a basic PC this is 30 minutes of work. If even that at all. Can't do it yourself? Go to a shop or ask a tech savvy friend. -I mean why would you even consider paying for the Pro to begin with. You are setting yourself up for sunk costs down the line. You will purchase games exclusive to the platform and be tied to the platform and generation of console. Seeing that PS5 is already a few years old and is starting to struggle with games why would you double down? On PC the prices of games are way cheaper via INTERNATIONAL and not regional pricing, sales, sales per platform (epic/steam), online key shops and if you are really struggling there is also cracked games. I mean how would you even compare that to console regional based monopoly pricing via Sony? -The PS5 pro will be like the next Xbox One X, cool little upgrade but a little too late down the line. -I own a PS5 for the exclusives (which have now been released on PC Ghost of Tsushima, GoW, Horizon ZD, etc.) Try to reason calmly before handing your cash over to Sony and being tied to them financially for a few years. Try to think rationally before purchasing. No hate or judgement but try to do yourself a favor and think about it. There are so many valid points to consider. Basically back in the day most of my friends got an X360 because the up front cost was lower, but they had to pay for gold which PS3 didn't require. So the price difference quickly faded within months. This is similar. Don't be fooled by upfront promises of performance. Don' t forget extended costs over time.
preach. i owned every playstation besides 1. i love them all but this is becoming retarded corpo logic. lets scam those who allready paid some... like wtf. :D the only reason to get any console nowadays and even this is becomin rare are and were exclusives. other than that... i allready have an x64 comparable system at home. but what if i took that ps pro money and invest in a x3d chip or a overkill gpu.. kinda pontless video. If you wanted a ps5pro killer, you could have used more bargain bin parts. You can easily match the European price and performance of ps5pro and disc drive with 5600 with a b450/550 and a 7700xt.
The cheaper 5600 non X outperforms the 3700 (PS5 equivalent) in all but productivity tasks. But a playstation is a console so productivity is irrelevant in the equation.

@@marcopazzi117 Unironically true though, with the current state of emulation almost any modern (Android) phone can run anything up to the PS2/Gamecube and even some PC titles. Modern AAA gaming is a luxury, being a gamer and having fun with games really isn't.
im sorry bro but this video kinda sucks ngl, just seems like a reason to use free parts that were sent to you. I dont even really get what your message here is, that the PS5 Pro is priced well? That a PC is worth it even if it costs 3x more for 20% more performance? That using top of the line parts will beat a console aimed at the mass market? This video couldve used some revisions as well, you couldve had a simulated PS5 Pro performance next to the PC performance at least. Like I said at the beginning, just seems like a way to stretch out the amount of content you can make about the PS5 Pro, not a very quality over quantity type stance.
I was thinking this too, throughout the video I was like. Okay where is the part where you say this is affordable. Can I get this cheaper than a ps5 pro? edit- nvm, the point of this video was to invest in a pc even if you paying a bit more now, consoles will get obsolete quicker and they dont have the flexibility of a pc. video still kinda meh though. I get where his coming from but everyone knows this info already
I think so too. I'm honestly about tired of PC gamers complaining in general since the PS5 Pro was announced. Consoles have their place and PCs aren't better for everyone, if they are better for YOU, you are a selfish type for thinking YOUR feelings and YOUR wants, and YOUR needs represent everyone elses. Also I'm not a fan of the narrative being drawn with comparisons based on YT compressed streaming. It's a 36 CU RDNA 1.5 GPU upgrading to a 58 CU RDNA 3/4 GPU. WIFI 7 is nice on the Pro as well. Low powered and efficiency that PC gamers only brag about as long as it is PC AMD branded, but not console AMD branded. People on PC do GPU upgrades of this sort the same for much more than a $300 extra cost. Now, I love my PC too (13900k,4090) and I came from PS5. Are there times I'm spending hours on my PC doing config or troubleshooting instead of playing the game? Absolutely. When I need to be on the road, am I going to bring my PC, keyboard, mouse which weighs a ton.. or am I going to bring my PS5 or buy a PS5 Pro? Also these consoles are x86 AMD hardware so they are pretty much PC hardware already. So whats the issue? Pixels? Fps? Steam vs PS store? You can do spreadsheets with one and not the other? (not everyone wants to do spreadsheets). You can run office or do other things with one and not the other? Sometimes people just want to game, and only have a couple hours per day before work to do so. They need to pick up, play, and go. Alot of baggage can come with PC especially if someone is not familiar with PC, is PC still better for them then for gaming? Or are they going to be on Reddit everyday asking questions while people rudely tell them to go "search" for the answer themselves as it has already been answered?
counterpoint: you dont need a costly PC, you can play the same games that mostly everyone is already playing on console at decent enough framerates for a fraction of the cost
Counter-counterpoint: His build here has been completely blown out of budget, because professional UA-camrs tend to do that. You can easily shave almost £800 off this by just not buying new parts like he did. Even if you must have new, the case and motherboard are silly picks you can easily spend £200 less on by just not buying the highest end options, and if you don't mind going to mATX and a full-size power supply, you can shave £600 or more off his build.
consoles are just PC's that are not running windows at this point. I don't get the argument of "convenience" at this point. I can use a PC in my living room sitting on a couch. I open steam and click Play
Love my PC, consoles are super-user friendlier though (update, drivers, components etc). It's the plug and play nature that is the appeal, I think. Just trying to extend olive branch (again, PC master race here lol) ~a random canadian subscriber dude
For real. just enable run steam when computer starts and start steam in big picture mode then buy any good wireless controller. Basically a console that can exit to desktop.
@ my GPU and system updates are automated the same way a PlayStation or xbox does. We’re also not in 2012 anymore, driver issues are not a thing 99.5% of the time. Components are also a silly argument, switching a hard drive in a PlayStation is arguably less user friendly than PC
Set aside the 700eur Ps5 Pro vs 2000eur PC, what about the ps exclusives that are not released for PC ? Also the easy plug-n-play console vs the comlicated PC...
it's 800€ without Blu ray drive, you are paying 80€ per game + 75€ per year to play online + 75€ each year because your shitty dualsense with ridiculous battery life is almost broken
What was the point of the video? Why did you take gpu thats comparable to ps5 pro but much faster cpu? Why didn't you stick to ps5 pro level of price or performance?
It would take about $1,200 US to match the PS5 Pro…for right now. You do get all the benefits of having a fully functional computer though. I don’t know why everyone is upset. I just don’t get the hatred from one group to the other, nor do I understand the loyalty to corporations.
A 6750xt and 5600x should be more than enough and cheaper The 6700 is faster than a ps5 , since ps5 has to deal with wattage and heat So 6750xt should be close , or just go for a 6800xt You only lose rt but eh ps5 rt is bad Plus you can pirate and mod A 1.9k pc is a 4080 super build
I have a 6750 xt in my living room pc running Chimera OS, used exclusively for controller big screen gaming.. it runs FSR like a champ, and on the 4k bigscreen its a great experience. Modern upscaling tech changes the game.....
I got the exact same GPU in my bfs rig and in my opinion FSR is the worst upscaler out there, Its very grainy and moving corners or eges on objects flicker no matter what quality. I actually like Intels XESS a lot more but FSR 4 will be AI based so it might not be the case for long.
See, now ChimeraOS is interesting. I have an Xbox, I've had 3, ever since I got stuck of pissing about with windows and drivers and performance. High performance pc gaming was a nightmare and it's still not fun. But that looks interesting, a silent build and that OS looks actually fun.
@@kitsune7919 It is not the best upscaler, for sure..but the advantage in this case is the system level FSR option for games that have poor in game implementation or no upscaling offered in game. we live in a marvelous time where it can be "the worst upscaler" and still do a perfectly adequate job.

I'm struggling to find the point of this video. At best, people who already made the jump from PS5 to a $1500+ gaming rig will have 27 minutes of validating remarks
It will also do like a 100x more work than the PS5pro which is like only gaming and entertainment. It'll be way faster than the pro and will have far less software cost.
I agree.. but it's not really apples to apples to be honest. The $1500 PC is more powerful, it can do a lot more than just gaming, there are way more games available, games are cheaper, no required paid online subscription, you can use any controller you like, you can upgrade your system down the line. etc. etc. On top of that the RTX 5000 series is around the corner, perhaps the 4070 will get cheaper..

Some youtubers resort used parts just to match PS5 Pro in performance and price. But they tend to forgot that when you buy a PS5 Pro, everything in it is brand new.
Cool build, if you are in the U.S it is (or at least was two weeks ago when I checked) possible to build a brand new PC with an R5 5500 and RTX 4070 for $850. Definitely not a well balanced system and I'm not recommending anyone to build such a PC, but the fact that it is possible to essentially get better PC hardware for almost the same price as the PS5 Pro really calls the value of it into question.

3:50 most sources will tell you that the PS5 Pro uses a custom RDNA based GPU that while "having new RT features no other RDNA GPU has at the moment" doesn't mean that it is RDNA4 based beyond the RT part. In fact they all claim that the rest of the GPU is RDNA3 based.
On pricing, I think another way to look at the console vs pc situation would be existing home theater pc upgrade vs ps5 owner to ps5 pro upgrade. Upgrading from ps5 to ps5 pro: $700 - selling used ps5 for $300 or so -net $400 Upgrading ps5 equivalent pc to ps5 pro equivalent pc: buy a 7800xt or 4070 for around $500, sell 6700xt for $250 - net cost $250 Not to mention you could sell a 3600x cpu for like $80 and get the AliExpress 5700x3d for $130 to get a massive boost in some games and have a more future proof system for just $50 down the line, instead of buying another whole console, not to mention all the pc game discounts, free online, emulation, exclusives, use any controller, etc
But the PC also has the benefit of being able to do much, much more than the console. On top of that, you don’t have to spend anything on online gaming subscriptions, meaning that over time, the PC is cheaper.
lol You spend accumulation for PlayStation Plus Essential: Monthly: $10 3-month subscription: $25 12-month subscription: $80 PlayStation Plus Extra: Monthly: $15 3-month subscription: $40 12-month subscription: $135 PlayStation Plus Premium: Monthly: $18 3-month subscription: $50 12-month subscription: $160 For as long as you have, and want to keep a PS+ Subscribtion for online services for the console you own. So you do the math how much you are really spending on the console.
I think the idea of powerful handhelds from Sony and Microsoft would be a game-changer. Imagine a portable device that can run games at console-level fidelity, with all the optimizations developers can put in. We’re already seeing steps in this direction with devices like the Nintendo Switch (basically a portable PS4) and the Steam Deck (which is similar to an underclocked PS5). Sure, they’re not perfect, but it shows that it’s possible, and maybe one day we’ll get there. If Sony and Microsoft are shifting to digital-only platforms, a handheld device could be a smart move. They’d make more money on digital sales since prices would stay consistent without physical retail, plus who doesn’t love the portability? While the PlayStation Portal concept was interesting, it didn’t fully deliver. Still, a dedicated handheld could be a strong product for them, especially if it has the right balance of power and portability. Some might ask, “Why not just use a handheld PC?” but consoles have the advantage of tighter optimization. Handheld PCs are versatile, but consoles could offer smoother gameplay, as they’re built for gaming from the ground up. Also, handheld consoles could be designed to dock for full screen gaming, giving us the best of both worlds. Ideally, I’d love to see console makers ditch the traditional, stationary box and make handhelds their main focus. Keep big consoles around if you want, but a portable version with comparable power and optimization would be amazing. And if they go fully digital, this shift to handheld consoles just makes sense. In the end, if we’re moving toward a digital-only future with “license-only” games, let’s go all-in with flexible, high-quality handhelds. Keep the high-power PCs and workstations for those who want the top tier experience, but let everyone else have consoles they can take anywhere.
You got me over here imagining the ideal offline and DRM free gaming handheld... The GOGBox! ...or ROG GOG?, orr GOGTab?, orrrr GOGPlank? ... orrrr GOGSlab ... ???
FWIW... "Console killer" PCs are a good option if you like dealing with PCs. I am both a Console and PC gamer and sometimes I wish I had paid more for games to have them on Console. Why? Because games just work without having to search forums for how to fix. And I like gaming with a controller since I use keyboard and mouse for work all day and many older PC games lack good controller support. I have a few gamer friends that only game on Console because their game time is limited and they want to be able to actually game (cough cough.. after updates even though "auto update" is turned on.. cough cough.). On the flip side, I ended up buying some older titles if had on previous Consoles on PC so I could take advantage of newer hardware to have better graphics and FPS. They both have a valid reason to exist imo.
@@robertt9342 I do wish the Consoles had something like the Steam sales though. Got so many good PC game deals. Of course COD games never go on sale... @13:15 - It's not that Linux distros work best with AMD GPUs, it's that they don't require any setup or messing with drivers as long as you have a new enough kernel and Mesa (which is the graphics library that handles OpenGL, Vulkan, etc.) since they're built into the kernel. With nVidia, you have to also consider whether the system you're using is running Wayland (newer, but nVidia support is spotty, so more issues) or the venerable, but better supported, X11 windowing system (think of Wayland and X11 as the system layer just underneath the GUI elements you see) and you will have to install the drivers for the card since they won't be built into the kernel like AMD's are (the "gaming" focused distros, and some of the more user-friendly ones like Mint, will most likely prompt you to install the drivers when first installing the system). edit: Next, try and see what you can get out of a PC (new parts only, natch) that costs the same as the PS5 instead of being 2.5x the price. :)
Here’s a concept. A gaming device that infinitely scalable that you can change resolutions, settings, and frame rates as you upgrade that doesn’t need an arbitrary third party to make a remaster of a game you’ve already purchased for a console that you also purchased. Sony is a joke.
@@nemesis8131 criticism on Nvidia is fair, but lets be real, technology has evolved to a point that 500-600$ GPU now allows you to run games at 4k quite easily. See no need for a 3000$ GPU ;)

I’m right there with you. I saw some statistic, I can’t remember for sure so take it with a grain of salt, but it was something along the lines of 60% of PC players said they would buy a console for GTA6. F waiting 2 years to play that masterpiece.
upfront a new pc will cost more, but you start saving in the long term Parts are modular No subscription for online play Better sales I started out with game cube and left the console market around 2016 with an xbox one. I currently plan on upgrading my 3060 ti, for the next gen cards comming next year The ps5 pro is going for what 700$ and it estimated to have the same performance as the 4070 which was going for 600 when it came out. Rumor has it the 5060 ti will be at 400$ while potentiall having the same performance as a 4070 If that become the case, then youll be paying 700$ for playstation to have the same performance of a 400 gpu. the only major component you will be upgrading throughout the years will be your gpu, cpu, motherboard and ram Your case, psu, cpu cooler, and potentially your ssds can be carried over from build to build

OR Go for AM5 but go for the cheapest options, 7500F, or 7600X. If you want sheer performance, you should put it on the GPU and not CPU. If you want the strongest CPU for the money, 5900X is there. 7700X close behind. Absolute best gaming CPU : 5700X3D, 5800X3D. Absolute best from AM5 : 7800X3D soon to be superseeded. Best GPU for the buck : 7700XT, 7900GRE, 6950XT if can be found at a good price. 4060, for 300 is a good deal, kind of. Recent information coming from the manual of the actual console says the 5 Pro has 2 extra GB of DDR5, presumably for the OS as the 4 Pro, which had an extra gig compared to the base console. Presumably that’s why the Pro has 14GB available for games instead of just 12GB. This last one is just my guess. I’m not entirely certain. Cheers.

Would've been a more interesting video if you matched the price point instead of the supposed experience. I still think that at MSRP a PC is a better choice than a PS5 Pro, especially if you are in Europe (for context the console is 800€ and the disk drive is 120€). When gaming with a PC on a TV you can prioritize framerate over resolution (1080p scales perfectly to 4k) and with a console you can only do that if the game supports it. When you are at a normal sitting distance from the TV you can't really tell you are playing at a lower than native resolution (assuming integer scaling) and the framerate will affect the experience more anyway.
Great video. Apparently not many of the other commenters paid attention and are criticizing the prices. Don’t let them get you down, they just failed primary school and were let to continue on out of pity.
I didn't get a PS5 during scalper fiesta. So I'm going from my PS4 Pro which I sold to a PS5 Pro which will arrive next week. Bought a few games that I want to play like Stellar Blade, Demon Souls, Rise of Ronin. Any other game that is also available on Steam, Epic Games, GoG etc. gets played on the PC 🙂
As a tentative PS convert, I know I can use my DualSense on PC... What steps do I need to take get the same wireless haptic experience while relaxing on my living room couch? ;)
A steam deck PC would be an amazing start for people getting into pc gaming. Imagine a pre-built steam os pc for console gamers. Or u know build ur own
While I agree with you that PC is obviously better than a console. Sony is abusing the GTA VI launch thats coming up soon to sell more consoles and potentially get more people into their medium. Thats also the real reason why in this day and age a company like rockstar is "unable" to launch a game on pc and console at the same time. In hopes or rather knowing that people will buy it on console and then later on pc as well.
Yup. Steam is infected with Rockstar DRM, too. I'm still waiting for Grand Theft Auto IV on GOG AND on PS4! One or the other would be fine with me. Sheeeiiittt, that game is old enough now, I bet it would run fine on the Switch. But nope. Not if it's up to Rockstar. I have a feeling I'm gonna be waiting a while.
Its cool that you had the chance to make a high end pc with a unique case. In my opinion you didn't need to use the playstation name for clicks. People just make pc for the sake of making pc, benchmark, final thoughts. Still a fan, but this was a L for me. Appreciate the effort though. I know the editing solo must be terrible despite being used to it.
I suppose that on the console the 4k tvs are free, right? a tv is more expensive than a monitor with similar capabilities (in that case you can use the pc on the tv like the console on a monitor so it's stupid to count it unless it's the free tv at your parents' house).
4k TV is standard in every house to 99% 4k "gaming"Monitor not. for the best pc gaming experience u need a 24-27inch 144hz (4k). so in the end of the day u need to buy one. my opinion
What's stopping you from putting your PC on a TV? Aside from the fact that in my case my TV is 1080p and many of my acquaintances are the same (who live in Europe) and have hardly used the TV for years, a 4K TV, which is almost necessarily a smart TV, will cost you up to almost 50% more than a monitor (or where I live).
@@tekken_01and your inability to connect the PC to TV is dictated by religion then? I mean, you can easily buy whatever controller you feel to, often cheaper than "console-exclusive" one and make all of the OS installation process on it(it's not Win3.11) so basically there's no need to spend "huge extra" on peripherals(15 bucks at most, mind you. Oh, btw, you can use em for a better internet experience later😊) AND you can easily use any monitor/TV (even free from the dumpster, if you have thise around. Depends on if you're in rural russia or other dpsht place or not) included but not limited to HDMI. The only two reasons to buy any console are: 1)exclusives and 2)"free" money to spend. If it's your "cup of tea" then it's okay, if you are in doubt there is a 99,9% chance you'd better off with PC, simple as that😊
You should of included 1 year of PS live subscription into the pricing, with the bonus of every year you save on not paying this offers the opportunity to upgrade.
45% improvement isn't enough to call it pro. PS4 Pro offered 100% performance improvement. It doubled the GPU power and a 50% improvement in CPU speed.
wait, you get a cheap ITX board? when i was making a small pc on AM4 i had option A320 asus prime, which as we know is borderline e-waste waiting to fail or X570 boards for $300 or so
Surely a 7800X3D is a waste of money if you're immediately going to kneecap it with eco mode. 7600 got mentioned later, but that probably should have been the starting point. No point paying extra for a 7800X3D only to use eco mode and not get the full fat performance you paid for.
Oh, well then that would be why you didn't hear WHY he used the 4070. Hmm, wish there was a video somewhere out there with a voice over explaining his choices 😰Not only that, but I wish that video even had a chart showing relative performance. If he had that, then maybe he could have said something like "The closest equivalent to the GPU in the PS5 Pro would be the RX6800." Unfortunately I just can't seem to find a video like that............
Bye bye... Why are you so offended when the AMD equivalent PC card he mentioned was okay for you and you know that card throw blows with the 12gb rtx 4070...
@DarthBungle brother.. a 4090 running native 4k, RT on, max settings in cyberpunk doesn't get 60fps without DLSS turned on! Modern games NEED DLSS/ Xess/ AMD FSR.
Which then makes it not 4k. If you can call 1440p or 1080p upscaled 4k then you can also call 360p upscaled 4k and then it just loses all meaning. If people want to convince themselves that playing with upscaling is still 4k then if a company starts advertising say a 3050 as a 4k card cause it can do it with ultra performance dlss then they cant really complain after. We need to stop calling it 4k with upscaling and call it what it is which is the resolution the game is being rendered at.
@TheRealQuaid788 hahahah brother what have you been smoking? Jeeezz I can tell you've never played around with resolution scaling on pc. You can see a BIG difference between 380p upscaled to 4k vs 1080p-1440p upscaled to 4k.
Exactly, a 2000$ RTX 4090 graphics card needs a upscaling Technology to get 4k60fps with Raytracing in most of the new games 🤷🏻♂️ Price/Performance Ratio is ridicilous but the Pc guys do not want to talk about it. 😉 They rather talk about how pricey the Ps5 Pro is.🤦🏻♂️
Right, cuz getting a $700 console over a $2000 PC is stupid. Cuz the $2000 PC performs better than the $700 console. Wow. Who would've thought? Not me, sir. I'm a PC gamer too, but I swear some of y'all have last gen brain.
I get the idea here, but the PC can not match the simplicity of a console, for example turning it on from the gamepad, and the platform comes with a lot of question marks and bad ports (much less so then in the past). What I really want is Steam to do a living room console. The steam deck gets over a lot of my issues with "PC in the living room" and I would jump on a better version of it. For now though, my PC remains in my office and a console in the living room.
you do realise you can run steamos on a PC right 😅 I mean it is for all intents and purposes a Linux distro, and people have run it on their lower end gaming laptops to improve efficiency tho' let's be fair, if you want to get a PC you probably want to do more than just gaming hence the reason why PC can be more complex than console (emphasis on "can")
Love my PC, don';t touch consoles these days and, aye, consoles are simple and convenient. Just... limited, for me. But aye, plug n play type, I feel ya
@darkmaster539 the OS part is the operating system (hence why I said it's a Linux distro, it's basically a custom version of Linux but built in a way similar to a console's OS) and steamos is generally designed to run on any combination of hardware in terms of performance, that's more down to the hardware the SD is using as opposed to the OS because unlike smartphone operating systems, desktop operating systems are designed to create a path of communication between hardware and software so they (under normal circumstances) don't impact performance. What I am trying to say is that it's entirely possible to have a PC that works exactly like a console with the same seamlessness experienced when using such a device, it just takes a lot of tinkering but once you get that done you don't have to think about it too much for a long time
Wake over USB(and even PS/2!) is a thing. Just as over ethernet. And, given you have some "remote play" options and good mobile internet connection you can grab "joystick enhancer" for your mobile and play even on the go. Quite doubt PSN app have it... There's absolutely no way any console outperforms a PC in convenience ever. Simplicity comes with its restrictions in terms of freedom. Last time I preferred console over PC was PS1's Quake 2 as it looked and played differently from PC version I saw at computer class in my school. PS2 was kinda Linux-friendly(for a big overprice, but still) and Dreamcast didn't make it due to stupidity of SEGA'S CEOs. Anything after was more and more restricted in terms of user friendliness...
Video shows that you can easily mess up part selection and pay double. R7 5800x + rx 7800 xt in a ATX case with a ATX board would be way better for 1000$ instead of a r7 7800x3d and rtx 4070. The cpu should never be the same price as the gpu and never go with ITX unless you have no budget
10 different store fronts, crappy ports, driver issues, various updates (without doing them can make things become a headache) and for what you recommended, still won’t get they quality that the Pro will.
Which is totally fine if you have enough money to spend on em both. It goes down to: if you don't have a PC at all(why are you here in the first place XD) and are going to buy some anyway - you could "add up the sum" of aforementioned console to sorta "match the size" to your at least "somewhat capable PC"(roughly around 500 bucks for it to be nit "very" old) and get something pretty similar in terms of performance/volume/power consumption aesthetic/whatnot... If you already have some that's enough 4 U at the moment(haswell enjoyer here, though I do have 12100F/1066 one for my 4k60... CivV/HommIV😂) and all you want is gaming - buy a console, but remember: Ps plus awaits yer wallet! Pointless rant as always, to sum up. But funny one! And why did we all gather around channels like this? To have fun!😊😊😊

Yep, I'm thinking the same thing.
New Brain = New Console .
games are optimize on cpu architecture, by switching to something different would make a huge difference, that´s why even the xbox one x had the same cpu.
Gamers: The PS5 Pro doesn't make sense and the price sucks
Tech UA-camrs: Hold my beer
The CPU and GPU alone cost more than the PS5 Pro
My pc performs maybe 15% behind the ps5 pros estimated performance and cost $500 total but look tech in general is too expensive right now so i get what you mean.

@@EBMproductions1That's weaker than a base PS5
This is not even counting the extended service and costs of Extra (125,99 euro per year and 5 yrs at 629,95 euro or Premium at 151,99 euro per year at 759,95 euro!!)
PS5 Pro plus 5 years of PS Plus:
- Essential 799 + 540 = 1339 euro
- Extra 799 + 630 = 1429 euro
- Premium 799 + 760 = 1559 euro
and that' s not even counting for inflation or the new controllers you are going to buy because of stick drift.
Don' t forget extended costs over time.

im sorry bro but this video kinda sucks ngl, just seems like a reason to use free parts that were sent to you.
Why even come to this channel if all you want to do is gripe about the video. Geeze. Just click the dislike button and move on, or skip it.
It's churned out "content" to capitalize on the PS5 Pro's release. These people just farm this stuff nonstop.
He used a complete overkill processor and memory as well. Weird video I must agree
counterpoint: you dont need a costly PC, you can play the same games that mostly everyone is already playing on console at decent enough framerates for a fraction of the cost
How a console peasant supposed to know what does "Decent Experience" mean
Counter-counterpoint: His build here has been completely blown out of budget, because professional UA-camrs tend to do that. You can easily shave almost £800 off this by just not buying new parts like he did. Even if you must have new, the case and motherboard are silly picks you can easily spend £200 less on by just not buying the highest end options, and if you don't mind going to mATX and a full-size power supply, you can shave £600 or more off his build.
What's the threshold for "decent enough"? 21 fps?
So playing games at 720p 30fps
consoles are just PC's that are not running windows at this point. I don't get the argument of "convenience" at this point. I can use a PC in my living room sitting on a couch. I open steam and click Play
Love my PC, consoles are super-user friendlier though (update, drivers, components etc). It's the plug and play nature that is the appeal, I think.

A 6750xt and 5600x should be more than enough and cheaper
The 6700 is faster than a ps5 , since ps5 has to deal with wattage and heat
So 6750xt should be close , or just go for a 6800xt
You only lose rt but eh ps5 rt is bad
Plus you can pirate and mod
A 1.9k pc is a 4080 super build
ps5 pro + ps5 controller + online subscription + 4k tv + 70$ dollars + mountain dew= more than 1k

“you don’t need a PS5 Pro…” also here’s a PC that costs more than double the price at $1500+
It will also do like a 100x more work than the PS5pro which is like only gaming and entertainment.
Because people who play on consoles never have a low-mid tier PC/laptop at home, amirite? If you add the cost of some basic e. g. Dell prebuilt office setup and a PS5 Pro, then the comparison is more than valid.
This build is way overkill and at the end there is literally within the conclusion reference to how the parts are more expensive than they should be.
Also on PC you can emulate every generation of PS backwards. And lots of other stuff e.g. Xbox, switch, NES, SNES, Gamecube, Dreamcast, etc. etc.
Want to play an old game let's say Red Alert 2? Cant. Older game on console? Good luck finding servers. PC can self host or custom host.
Another point of concern would be the repairability of a console OR possible upgrades down the line - if one of your soldered down RAM chips dies on you, or the onboard storage dies aka shits itself due to wear and tear, PSU, etc etc.
I mean why would you even consider paying for the Pro to begin with.
The PS5 pro will be like the next Xbox One X, cool little upgrade but a little too late down the line.
I own a PS5 for the exclusives (which have now been released on PC Ghost of Tsushima, GoW, Horizon ZD, etc.) Try to reason calmly before handing your cash over to Sony and being tied to them financially for a few years.
I can build an AM4 monster around a used RX6800, all other parts new for less than a PS4 pro
I say it again: Right now comparisons are pointless simply because RDNA 4 isn't out.
That GPU Series will be the closest to the PS5 Pro when it comes out because of the better upscaler it will have.
And it is also from AMD.
Cant wait for pc 2 to release
The PS5 Pro is still a better value than a Mac Pro
Ya, but could you reference something from the past few years?

@mitsuhh a ps5 uses a cpu equivalent to the Ryzen 7 3700x and gpu relative to a RX6700 10gig/RTX 3070 8gig i have a Ryzen 7 5700x+RX6750XT 12 gig and got it all for $507 to be exact. Whoops i hurt the console guys feelings.
@@EBMproductions1 Wow you must be a child
@mitsuhh yes im 9 and could afford a $500 pc whooo 🤣🤣🤣
Clicked on the video just to comment that I'm getting the PS5 Pro, and one of the biggest reasons Is because of how annoyed people get when I tell them.
Excellent
Buy what you want bro. If the ps5 pro appeals to you, you're the target audience for it. There's nothing wrong with that.
Good i am hype to see the damage control for the ps5 pro
Chose the weong audience to try and get a reaction from wdgaf man
Yeah it’s pretty funny to see all the insecure pc/xbox fanboys getting angry over people buying the pro.
W steam os should be the future of pc builds
PS5 Pro having better upscaling than a $900 7900XTX is so funny 😂😂😂
It’s newer technology… by nearly two years… How is that funny?? Also, the XTX seldom needs upscaling because of its raw performance.
@@deimoslalaladefinitely needs it for any serious RT use, especially in Cyberpunk 2077 and Black Myth Wukong and many more.
Dlss still better
@@zerosam5541better by a hair. This is the first itteration of PSSR and it's already trading blows in most comparisons. I have an nvdiia card myself and still don't understand this biased hate towards PS5 Pro.
@@adds-kz3oc Not by a hair at all. DLSS is an AI powered algorithm, meanwhile FSR is a manmade one. XESS is close to DLSS in terms of visual fidelity, but FSR is nowhere close.
Can't wait for my pro in few days
How much does that shopping list cost again? There may also be the need for required accessories. such as keyboard mouse, controller and the operating system.
A 7800X3D was definitely overkill for this system, but hey, if you want to future-proof your system a little more just go for it guys
And all of this is ignoring stuff like upscalers and frame generation
Yeah i agree. He went ahead without a budget and built a better PC. Well we knew that..
For the money it’s really not bad, but what people are using a console for aren’t looking for this kind of performance uplift.
I still don't even need a PS5 and stick to my PS4 Pro. And a proper gaming PC.
GOG. Especially GOG.
GOG be like the Rodney Dangerfield of PC, looking around and popping his collar:
"Yeesh, No Respect".
As a tentative PS convert, I know I can use my DualSense on PC... What steps do I need to take get the same wireless haptic experience while relaxing on my living room couch? ;)
"You don't need a PS5 Pro. You do however need a more expensive PC that costs twice as much as the PS5 Pro though."
Yeah. Don't forget that games are usually cheaper on pc than on ps5.
Also no monthly subscription needed.
PC purchase pays itself back quite quickly.
Why did he pronounce cybenetics as cybertronics 😭
Wasn't sure I heard that the same way either... and didn't want to rewind in order to find out.
Someone please tell me do I buy the pro or the normal one it’s like $700 difference here in Australia
so add 300-600$ for a good 4k monitor, keyboard and mouse.
I suppose that on the console the 4k tvs are free, right? a tv is more expensive than a monitor with similar capabilities (in that case you can use the pc on the tv like the console on a monitor so it's stupid to count it unless it's the free tv at your parents' house).
4k TV is standard in every house to 99%
4k "gaming"Monitor not. for the best pc gaming experience u need a 24-27inch 144hz (4k). so in the end of the day u need to buy one.
PS5 Pro has 2-3x faster RT
@mitsuhh 😆😆😆😆😆😆
wait, you get a cheap ITX board?
when i was making a small pc on AM4 i had option A320 asus prime, which as we know is borderline e-waste waiting to fail or X570 boards for $300 or so
Insta clciked the notif, lets get to it
I can't believe iceberg tech is almost 100K of subs I was one of the first 10K OG's I am really happy he deserves it. Keep up the good work icy
I only got the original ps5 because it has a disc drive lmao, $700 and it doesnt even have that😂
Surely a 7800X3D is a waste of money if you're immediately going to kneecap it with eco mode. 7600 got mentioned later, but that probably should have been the starting point. No point paying extra for a 7800X3D only to use eco mode and not get the full fat performance you paid for.
Stopped watching the moment you compared it to a 4070, tbh. 17 tflops, it's a 3070 Ti AT MOST. The 4070 is almost 65% faster than base PS5, not 45%.
Shouldah watched til the conclusion bro..
Tflops are calculated differently between architectures. The 4070 is only 10% faster than an rx 6800, but somehow, it has 13 more FP32 tflops.
Bye bye... Why are you so offended when the AMD equivalent PC card he mentioned was okay for you and you know that card throw blows with the 12gb rtx 4070...
Down the line he made it clear that the "... RTX 4070 is more than twice as powerful as the base ps5..."
bro enabled full auto on the title bar
Let's not mislead people. On pc, you aren't getting anywhere near native 4k 60fps without DLSS enabled.
I do on my 7900XTX and it’s more like 120 fps +, with native 4k
😉 They rather talk about how pricey the Ps5 Pro is.🤦🏻♂️
You don't need any gaming hardware, really. It's a hobby. If you have a hobby and money to pursue it, then you should. Nothing to be ashamed of.
Right, cuz getting a $700 console over a $2000 PC is stupid. Cuz the $2000 PC performs better than the $700 console. Wow. Who would've thought? Not me, sir.
I'm a PC gamer too, but I swear some of y'all have last gen brain.
12:04 face reveal on the top right?
I get the idea here, but the PC can not match the simplicity of a console, for example turning it on from the gamepad, and the platform comes with a lot of question marks and bad ports (much less so then in the past). What I really want is Steam to do a living room console. The steam deck gets over a lot of my issues with "PC in the living room" and I would jump on a better version of it. For now though, my PC remains in my office and a console in the living room.
you do realise you can run steamos on a PC right 😅
I mean it is for all intents and purposes a Linux distro, and people have run it on their lower end gaming laptops to improve efficiency
tho' let's be fair, if you want to get a PC you probably want to do more than just gaming hence the reason why PC can be more complex than console (emphasis on "can")
Love my PC, don';t touch consoles these days and, aye, consoles are simple and convenient. Just... limited, for me. But aye, plug n play type, I feel ya
@@MichaelTendayiChikamhi Steam OS is not the same as fixed hardware - for example the steam deck's handling of elden ring.
@darkmaster539 the OS part is the operating system (hence why I said it's a Linux distro, it's basically a custom version of Linux but built in a way similar to a console's OS) and steamos is generally designed to run on any combination of hardware
in terms of performance, that's more down to the hardware the SD is using as opposed to the OS because unlike smartphone operating systems, desktop operating systems are designed to create a path of communication between hardware and software so they (under normal circumstances) don't impact performance.
P5Pro does not share the GPU VRAM for system functions, they have added 2GB extra DDR5 for this purpose. So any GPU you compare needs to offer 16GB.
oh man not this PC bullshit again, come back when you can buy physical PC games, or buy PC games at all.
You can buy PC games and without DRM unlike consoles.
@@kasjamm Yeah? Try to sell your DRM-less games lmao
@brenobonfim5749 You said you can't buy PC games and you were wrong.
What's wrong with digital?
Still using LP I guess. Good for you. 😅
Video shows that you can easily mess up part selection and pay double. R7 5800x + rx 7800 xt in a ATX case with a ATX board would be way better for 1000$ instead of a r7 7800x3d and rtx 4070. The cpu should never be the same price as the gpu and never go with ITX unless you have no budget
pssr lmao
10 different store fronts, crappy ports, driver issues, various updates (without doing them can make things become a headache) and for what you recommended, still won’t get they quality that the Pro will.
need? no. want? yes!
My pc specs are 4070 ti super and 7800x3d and i have the ps5 pro pre-ordered
