    For our American friends 😃;
    2 cups of Demerara sugar
    1/2 cup milk
    1/2 cup butter
    1 and 1/4 cup condensed milk
    1/4 cup chocolate (optional)

      It really does take a while for it to start thickening up. And then when it does thicken up you need to take it off the heat and keep stirring for a while. Hope that helps 😃

    Three times I’ve tried to make this following ur exact recipe but it doesn’t come out like this at all. It’s just a big sticky mess that sets in the fridge but melts when u take it out. I’m pretty good at baking but disappointed with the way this recipe turns out. I’d suggest leaving out the milk to help it set better.

    • @davidhong1934
      @davidhong1934 3 роки тому +1

      How much water did you boil off? I recall getting the mixture down to a paste-like consistency, after which the fudge cooled into something malleable but capable of holding its shape.

    • @janasisu
      @janasisu 3 роки тому +2

      Check other recipes, they usually suggest 15 minutes of boiling and 10 minutes of additional stirring. Worked for me, though it was still soft, I might add another 5 minutes next time. It's an alchemy, you need to reach "soft ball stage".
      Or today I accidentally made a crumbly fudge from a can of condensed milk, 150 g of sugar, and 150 g of butter. It was supposed to be somewhat soft caramel boiled for 10 minutes, but I forgot to boil it gently, and since there's less liquid, 10 minutes of rolling boil worked too, you are right.

    • @elizabethwest9729
      @elizabethwest9729 2 роки тому +2

      My grandmother taught me the 3ball secret. When you think it’s ready, drop 3 drops into a glass of cool water. If it mushes together it’s not ready. If it stays 3 balls, not gooey runny blobs, it’s ready.

    When the music is blaring it is NOT funny. So I unsubscribed and gave the thumbs down. Why do people not use some common sense.?? The music should only be playing softly in the background not blaring. Better still no music would be better.

      Some people actually liked this so called “blaring” music and it isn’t about you… you didn’t like the video, cool but the stuff you saying about common sense is really just your opinion, only an opinion, not a fact… you wanted a recipe for fudge, there you have it
