Quickly writing this down before I forget: YES! She did do the whole “experiment” during Blank Space in every city she visited. And it was fine live, to the point where it actually glitched and malfunctioned while she was in Utah and created a very cursed and funny blooper. Edit 1: regarding the backing track, it’s not actually a pre-recorded track. It’s her background singers covering that part for her, usually choreographed along with dance or interactions so the transition is seamless. (Also, not the slander against my baby “I Wish You Would” /joking)
If ever Taylor uses backtracks it is for really big choruses to create atmosphere, but she is always singing, the only time she doesn´t is when she is doing runs and adlibs, and you clearly hear the difference. She is actually one of the best in the industry at blending her voice with backing vocalists or a backtrack, she knows how to blend her voice perfectly with their harmonies and not overpower them during choruses and that is really hard to do. Most singers overpower because they are not good at blending their harmonies with their additional vocals, but she is a pro at it. And that is why some people use to think she wasn´t singing during the big choruses, but she always has unless she is doing runs.
here after it's unblocked 🙋🏻♀️ and yeah it's kind of a joke in the fandom that the video editor(s) of 1989 tour just had a new editing tool 😂 they were doing way too much lol
Every city will get a different surprise star performance that makes every show unique from each other. Thats the version of SURPRISE SONGS on Eras Tour now that made fans excited to watch multiple shows to get multiple unique surprise songs. I prefer 1989 Tour cuz fans dont just get a surprise song but also a surprise star singing their songs.
I agree that the editing of this tour is sometimes very over the top, extra, loud, and neon bright....but, as someone who was a teenager throughout that whole decade, the 80's were definitely over the top, extra, super loud, and "in screaming color". I honestly don't think I would have wanted to grow up in any other Era! Great job reacting as always. I so enjoy watching young people desiring to look deeper at things in life, when so many others in the world barely take the effort to scratch the surface...I always look forward to your videos!!!
ive never actually watched the 1989 world tour in full and its so funny seeing all the edits on the video, like WHAT was the idea with that, the editing on I Wish You Would is a fever dream.

the enchanted/wildest dreams mashup is one of my favorite performances of hers, it’s so beautiful and the vocals are awesome
the editing on this tour never fails to make me laugh and kendall and taylor used to be friends but that was before the whole kanye and kim thing
