Cool! I loved using the Arccos. I later switched to Garmin because of the subscription being to expensive for only 5 months use per year here in Norway. But Arccos is definitely better then what Garmin offer. 100% better! Anyway, thanks for subscribing 👍🙏🏻
Sounds amazing! Here in Norway it is more like all year skiing, and some golfing in between😏 Been to the states many times, but never got around to see North or South Carolina. Maybe next time!
Subscribed. Reasons: When you were showing your ranges etc, they almost matched mine perfectly. Then you went on to say that you do high handicap video stuff. I think there is more of this needed. So much is available online for the single digit players, and nothing seems available for the high handicapper. It's a shame, because there is a lot that is missed for us. For example, I often have seen videos on 'how to get out of trouble' and never once have I see anyone say 'consider it unplayable and take a shot penalty and drop the ball'. If you're a single digit handicapper you probably can't afford the stroke loss, but if you're a high handicapper it's probably worthwhile. Maybe you'll have a better shot and be able to get out of trouble easier. Sure, it will cost you a shot, but if you've got 2 shots on the hole anyway, then it makes sense to do that than to hit the ball 1m and be in the same kind of crap. Additionally, you use meters instead of yards. What is it with the 18th century that people want to play in yards? :D Looking forward to see what you put into your videos.
Hello there Ian! Thanks for subscribing, and for the great comment! With our simular golf distances we can improve together ha,ha. Yeah, I was tired of seeing people crushing a driver 300 yards down the fairway in a review, when I want to know if I'll hit it less into the woods on the right side instead. Well, as my channel grows, I might be able to get my hands on more new gear, so I can test it more like a average high handicapper. I haven't tried making to many of the instructional type videos yet, as I really don't feel competent to teach anyone anything yet. But if a eureka moment comes up in my golf swing, I'll make sure to let you know in a video. Anyway, thanks for much for commenting and subscribing. It means a lot to me!
Thanks for commenting! I just bought myself a golf watch from Garmin, so I will put Arccos on hold for the time being. But Garmin is not even close to as good as Arccos on stats and the app. Arccos is great when it works, unfortunately I had a lot of problems lately, so I got a bit frustrated. And since I needed a new watch anyway, I went with a golf watch. So we will see how I like that👍 Anyway, thanks for the comment!
Thanks for letting me know you got something out of my video. Always great to hear from people that watch my videos. Arccos is a lot of fun for us statistics nerds. So I am sure your will love the system as well. Have fun golfing👍
It starts to give you some numbers right away, but the A.I. needs you to play at least 5 full rounds for it to start giving you advise. Some clubs that are not used so much, need more rounds to get accurate distance naturally.
It uses your own distances for all your shot recommendations. So it will never recommend you hitting the 5-iron 170 meters or yards if you don't have that distance as your average with the 5-iron. It uses your known distances. That is why it needs atleast 5 full rounds of golf before it starts recommending shots for you, as the A.I. takes time to get get to know your yardage. But you are free to use whatever club you want, the Arccos is there as guidence only.
How do you find the Arccos app at picking up your club strikes? Do you use the phone, watch, or link? I find it misses too many shots (one or two per hole, not including soft putts), then I have to either mess with the app on course, which messes up my game. Or spend time recalling and adding the shots after the round.
Most if the time it works great, misses maybe a few putts and one or two full shot per round on average. I use my phone, and I actually switched to Iphone from Android, because it was more stable with Arccos. And I keep my phone in my leading pocket when I play (as they recommend), and it picks up good in my opinion. The issue that is more annoying to me is the Caddie function coming up with an error when I open it up, and it seems like it can't find me on the map. That happens 3-4 times per round or something. I do all my editing on my phone after walking off the green. Has become a habit. I played a tournament last season (where I came last place ha,ha) where I didn't use Arccos, and I found out I have become very dependent of the Caddie function, so much that it is almost an obsession.
@@GolfDuff Thanks. It can be addicting. I found the phone (iPhone plus size) distracting to my shots when in my pocket or on my belt clip too. Like you, I'm a high handicapper and I found sometimes the Caddie took too long to find me and I had to keep up my pace of play without it. Pace of play is another reason I do not like to mess with it on the course to add the missed shots. I'm hesitant to spend even more money on the link if it misses shots also. The data is interesting and helpful once I do add to it later, especially reviewing how far I am really averaging on each club.
How much does it cost to download the phone app? Are there hidden cost to activate it? How long does it last before renewing and what’s the renewing price? No one really covers this
Great question! Downloading the actual phone app is free, but you can't use it without the sensors in your clubs. And when you buy the sensors and add the different clubs to your app, you then have to have a 99 usd per year subscription. So it costs you the price of the sensors (one time price) and then a 99 usd subscription every year you use them. Unless you get some unused old sensors (named Arccos 360), that are the only option now with no subscription for life. Once you need replacement sensors for the old version (since the batteries die eventually), Arccos has said that they will give you replacements for life, and I believe that means the replacements also have no subscription. Thanks for asking a question Mark!
@@GolfDuff thanks for the info. I recently received my new fitted Ping G425’s that come with the grips. No one explained how they work cost of activating. Sounds like the short answer is $100 a year. Do you have to have your phone in you pocket while playing?

Inside the app when you put in your new set, you will actually get the option of getting sensors for the rest of your clubs for free I believe. As a service for getting the Arccos system. It's going to be there inside the app (at least it was on my Cobras, even though I never did that, because I had sensors from before). Yeah, you need to have your phone with the app running in your pocket, on your leading foot. Or you can buy the Link, then you don't need the phone at all. But I recommend having the phone with you for the Caddie function, it is great! Many people don't like to have their phone in their pocket when they play, but I even work on my phone, so I always have it on me no matter what. Arccos have a lot of great instruction videos on their website, check them out before you start.
