Have had Arccos for a for 4-5 years. Since I bought it, there have been significant improvement. Correct, it's not perfect, but after 300 rounds I've pretty well mastered it. The improvements are usable too. The strokes gained/each club is a huge pick up. I learned there I needed to improve my 9 iron, but my PW and 8 iron were very close to my handicap performance level. Also, being able to compare what areas of my game I was losing and gaining ground (after each round AND overall) is extremely helpful too. I know it's been critical in lowering my handicap into the low single digits. Highly recommend, BUT you have to stick with it!

This week I used Arccos for the first time; just the smart sensors without Link. I forgot to put my iPhone in my pocket and left it on my push cart. I played the whole round with my bluetooth speaker without any issue. The surprise was that arccos consumed less of my phone battery than The Grint does.
I forgot to mention that I wear an Apple Watch. I assume that acts like the Link.

Lot of issue with this product. Link an be spotty. And I can no longer get club distance and club recommendation to work during round. So far support has not been able to offer a fix.

Tried it for a few months and am done with it. Misses as many shots as my Garmin S62, slows down the round, they come off of the club, and your flubbed shots skew your average making the virtual caddie not very helpful.

I'm using the Link (having to constantly take the phone out of my pocket was annoying) and I think the shot tracking is excellent. The data it provides is very useful and their desktop program is even better! You're right, the only shots it really misses for me are some occasional putts and penalties. Otherwise...solid and a worthwhile investment if you're looking to improve your game.

I have tried Arccos and Game Golf in the past, but settled on Shot Scope. I have the V3 watch with the sensors and there is very little to do during the round - just mark the hole location by pushing a button on the watch. Any other adjustments can be done later on the computer. Would like to see you do a comparison of Arccos and Shot Scope V3. Also no subscription fee for Shot Scope.

I got the link for Christmas. It has been awesome though 36 holes so far. I might get to the point where I don’t even check my phone during the round. I don’t listen to music while I play golf. I listen to the birds, the wind, etc.

I also use Arccos with the Link. I put the phone in my bag and don't look at it unless I need yardage information that I'm not getting with my laser.... So point one doesn't really have to be a problem if you shell out for the link

I purchased these, which were great for the first year, but then I didnt realise that the subscription renewal cost was the SAME as buying the pack in the first place.. Why they dont discount for existing users is beyond me, but now I've stopped using the sensors as I can't justify the expense for how much I play, or dont as the case is right now.

One thing that I haven’t read in any reviews but worth mentioning. I was surprised to learn that you need to buy a separate sensor to fit SuperStroke putter grip. Arccos doesn’t work unless you have a sensor in your putter.

When I purchased this, it start draining my phone battery badly. Even I start the round fully charged it drains after 8 or 9 holes. I did contact Arccos support team who directly put the blame on the mobile phone and other apps running on the phone which was a completely false claim. I have proved that using a complete power monitor report which shows over 05% of the battery drained by this product. After 3-4 months of emails going here and there they agreed they have some issues with the App. But didnt fix the issue. Then they suggested me to by Arccos Link, So I did. But it did not arrive for 4 more months. When I get Arccos Link it was already over 9 months gone from my first-year annual subscription. They can see it from my profile as none of my games recorded properly for whole that time. But they did not even consider any compensation for their own Application issue which take too much battery power or delay for even delay on delivering Arccos link product.
At the end I paid over 500AUD for something just used only for 2 1/2 months (All due to Arccos application issue , an inefficient support team and a sales team who were not able to deliver products on time). Thats adds up to 150+AUD per month.
One of the most unprofessional support teams I have dealt with in my life.

Your second point is not true. I sometimes use the link and sometimes I don't. Every time I play, I use a Bluetooth speaker. I have never once had an issue connecting and playing music while using Arcoss. Maybe it's your phone.

I bought the Arccos PGA Tour Bundle based on your Breaking Eighty article and recommendation. I love my Garmin Approach G80 and Forerunner watch, but did not want to buy a 2nd Garmin watch to use with the Approach CT10. Watch or no watch, I think I would have still went with the Arccos based on the extra stats, features and your recommendation. I’ve played 2 rounds with the Arccos and find myself wanting to go play just to get more data to really help me see where I need to improve my game and lower my score. My only regret is I wish I would have got the grips with built in sensors, but other than that I’m happy. Thanks for the honest reviews - they help me with buying decisions on golf equipment (like a Vessel bag next). 😊

Thank you for the reviews you do on tech products, your comparisons have been very helpful--especially for personal launch monitors! Would you consider reviewing Shot Scope? Please?? Like you, I've logged many hundreds of rounds on Arccos. And while I too love the simple use and insightful information, this product lags WAY behind its own potential. In some respects Arccos has regressed over time. The software is a hot mess: 2 different web portals, neither of which is completely functional, and the "new" version has been under construction for three (?) years. Some of the best old functions aren't carried over. The phone app works better, but it's different than the two web portals and isn't enabled for iPad use. This really isn't subscription-worthy.

Have it, with the Link. Love it, love the data. However, not a fan of subscriptions especially at that price point. If I could play a couple rounds a week, that would be one thing. But I am lucky to play a dozen rounds a year, sadly. Thinking I am going to switch to ShotScope H4 for this reason.
I did have to tape my sensors in, as they kept popping out. Couple bands of electrical tape seems to be doing the trick for the last couple rounds and range sessions.

Thank you for a good review. Question, does Arccos know which club you hit if you bring two or three clubs with you to your ball? Sometimes, when sizing up a shot, players bring at least a couple clubs with them before selecting the one they strike with, especially if it is “cart path only” rules in play. Thank you.

    • @dkonno18

I have arccos. Mine is the original version. I didn’t need to pay a subscription, that wasn’t a thing when they first released it.
I liked it, except it had difficult registering putts, and when I hit one out of bounds, I found it difficult to get it to count the shots correctly. Ultimately, I found it to be a hassle.

    • @GrumpyGolf4
      @GrumpyGolf4 Рік тому

Beyond the subscription, this doesn’t give you any accurate insight as to your carry distances…so as far as that data goes, it’s rendered useless since carry is the most important piece of information you need.

so, you don't want to spend time on your phone, yet you want to use a bluetooth speaker while playing a round ? If you'd played so many rounds yourself, you'd know that tip #3 isn't enough for you to even get the distances built up for the clubs. It's very reliable on Android and it seems to suck on iPhone. Subscription and reliability were the top ones for me
