Nice touch with that Putter !! You had great pace to your putts - it was a foregone conclusion after seeing your first 5 holes that they would start dropping for you.
Yes I have - a couple of shots - but for me it is more about the feedback you are getting on where to focus your practice. Thats then up to you to do something with. Also, of all of the scoring apps i've used, this is the closest to being 'set and forget' during the round, and you don't have to enter anything while you are playing and can tweak anything that went awry quickly and easily after the round while you enjoy a well deserved cold drink!
Looks like its getting chili there! Slow start but you turned it around! We all have those days were the putts just don't fall. Great up and down par save on 8! That was nice! Solid par to close it out! Great vid Dave!
You got that right! it was a slow start, something i can't afford to do as i only get 1 shot in the first 4 holes on this nine. I tend to accept that from inside 5-10 feet the average make at tour level is around 50%, but it would be nice if more than one of the 7 putts i had dropped!
Really depends on how much you are looking to invest. If you already have an Apple Watch, even something like hello birdie or hole19 will offer you some options. In my opinion arccos offers the best features, mostly because of the automated shot tracking. When I’m playing a competition round I don’t even need to look at it!
Yeah as much as I love the arccos system i take the weather recommendations with a pinch of salt. especially given that I know the weather readings where i live actually come from a weather station 30km away 😂
What information do you get from Arcoss Caddie when using it for the first time as there is no previous data to get club/strategy recommendations from? How many rounds should I play before the data starts becoming more reliable?
Hi Ryan, great question. From memory it takes 5x18-hole rounds before it will start making recommendations, until then it will still provide gps data obviously
Yeah it will automatically identify that you have moved holes and score accordingly. That said, I have had occasions where a tee box is very close to the previous green (as in literally side by side) where it doesn’t capture it but it’s easy to spot and correct in the app
@@ForetoFourGolf ah perfect, I’d assume it would list the next drive after the putt on the previous hole so you’d see it and change the hole number to the correct one?
@@cameronbell6232 spot on. It takes two seconds to delete and then add to the correct hole, and it might happen once per round. If playing a course with greens and tees a ways apart, won’t be a problem
@@ForetoFourGolf sweet, thanks for your replies man, you’ve helped me decide I’m 100% going to use arccos now, just waiting on my completion kit of sensors to arrive
I don't tend to pay much attention to what I score in a 3 club wind. It just wears you down. I also hate being shoved around by the wind when I'm putting, so I usually putt poorly as well as hit the ball poorly. But it's better than going shopping for a handbag with the wife.
yeah it makes it a lot more difficult for sure, and while this was certainly windier than an average day being this close to the coast means you have to learn to play in it. also, don't you have enough handbags by now?
Just purchased have played two rounds. Seems fairly good marking my distances with each club EXCEPT my 54 degree wedge. It is very wrong. Emailed support. No response yet.
The swing in this video has the potential to be good, but it still relies on my timing way too much and is too inconsistent to put together better scores. I can always seem to claw my way to somewhere near my handicap but I'm working with my coach to build some more resilience and predictability into my swing. The tee shots on 3 and 4 are a prime example. 3 is close to perfect because i timed everything. 4 is awful because the timing was slightly off!
Thanks for watching mate! we gotta get you on the channel soon... and yeah, when it's windy like this its a beast, if a few more putts dropped it would have felt a lot better, but how often do we say that!
You'll be glad to know the first thing i did after this was book a putting lesson 🤦♂️

Thanks Linda! Some days they drop, some days they don’t!
Nice work again mate. Really took us on a journey there, couple of birdie putts and a few par saves. 😎
Thanks mate! I know you are a fan of arccos too, it can certainly help us when we listen to it!
Thank you for the product information. Have you actually seen a lowering of you handicap using the system.

If you move the flag on a longer green, front -back, does the recommended club change, or does it always default to center?
pretty sure it does yeah!
Dave - I’m looking for a good gps Apple Watch golf app, I’ve seen quite a few of your reviews, which would you recommend from them all arccos ?

Dave “I only hit the fairway 12% of the time. Arccos says hit 3 wood. I think I’ll hit driver.” Dave misses fairway. 😂.
That up and down on 8 was 🔥🔥
Hahah yeah there is the source of the problem…me!
My Garmin S62 links to the weather on my phone. The virtual caddy takes that into consideration. Hit n miss….like my golf 😂

Do you have to manually enter your score after each hole or does it automatically do that when it picks up you using driver on the next tee?

Probably not.
