just got one today and i love it. what used to take me 1 hour to mow on a good day with a corded hover mower has just taken 20 minutes. the battery used 2 of the 5 segments of charge, i had it on the lowest setting and i was bagging. the bagging is awesome it totally filled the whole bag. i didn't get the mulch plug with my mower i don't know if that is the case now but it says in the instructions to remove the pre-fitted mulch plug to attach the grass collector. i have contacted Ego so we will see. i have also bought a strimmer, not used yet but if it half as good as the mower then it's happy days.
I was looking for a review of the EGO LM1701E SP (42cm model) but in the ascence of such I've found this for the next size up to be a good replacement.
@@lawnporn I have petrol mowers that are original and 40yrs old.I’m worried any of these “battery mowers” won’t last 10-15yrs at least minimum especially batteries. If people think getting 5 yrs or so out of a battery mower is good value that’s all good and well I don’t. But great review non the less on something brand new.
What happened? How long did you use this device before it broke down? I think buy this device and self propulsion motor, its one of important thing for me.
Interesting! I'm starting into year 3 of my 21" Ego. I've been using it to cut half an acre of a very mossy garden and no problems with the mower itself so far thankfully. The rapid charger failed just inside the two year warranty. Ego were not interested in helping me and told me to go back to the retailer. The retailer could not help either as the Ego parts dept had closed due to covid so I had to buy another at my own expense. Not impressed.
Great video. How did you get the battery with the fuel gauge? I just brought my 21” SP mower less than a week ago and my 7.5ah battery doesn’t have a fuel gauge, it just shows green when it’s 15%+ left.
Random Acts of Video how many squares do you do? I have a 5.0amp battery that can mow/mulch and line trim, all on one charge. I’d love to see how many squares the 7.0 amp battery does....
@@Boodieman72 Few extra batteries?..... I appreciate this type of review...not looking at ego because I'm balls deep in Milwaukee, but easy to see if you have enough batteries, you can easily surpass fossil fuel technology
Just bought it, loving the mowing experience finally
Super glad you have found your mower and enjoying it. Nothing like it for sure.

I gave you a like before watching your video just on the name of your channel
Thank you lol
Reviews are all good and well when things are new.Use it for 10-20yrs and let me know how it’s faring.
Well Matt Ryks still has this mower 4 years in now and going strong no issues. Hope this helps.

I've done lots of reviews on previous ego mowers, I do like them but sadly cannot recommend "most" of them due to self propulsion motor issues.

30-40 minutes with self-propulsion engaged?

For all you non Ego owners/users....welcome to 2019!
Once you’ve used an Ego product, there’s no need to use a dinosaur juice powered unit.
Batteries don't last long enough for the amount of mowing I do.

Batteries are for ladies Vibrators mate. Real men use real engines.
Only 1 yr warranty for commercial use. Cmon ego gotta do better than that . At least 2 yrs
Then just buy an Ego Mower designed for commercial use and you get longer warranty. This model is designed for residential use.
@@Ewoodster it's exactly the same as the 21inch "pro"
This is a self propelled copy of the Ryobi ones that have been out for years. Almost everything is the same
Ryobi is inferior. I got rid of mine and upgraded to Ego, its not even a comparison.
