    Great review, thanks JayRock! I might be missing something, but I think the height adjustment is a bit simpler than explained. There are 7 slots from 20mm to 80mm, so each slot is +10mm. I.e. Slot 1 is 20, slot 2 is 30, then 40, 50, 60, 70, up to slot 7 is 80. Easy as!

    Bought a 47cm ego with 56v,5.0 battery.
    It's amazing, my lawn is 100ft by 40ft.
    My lawn has not been cut in 6 months due to rain, and my petrol mower packing up.
    My gras was waterlogged in some places, and grass almost 2ft, but this mower just went right through it, still had half battery left.
    Does a better job than my petrol.
    Live in the UK, so yea get a lot of rain.
    Next job get rid of my waterlogged lawn in parts.
    Done a lot of research on these mowers and this one always comes top.
    Expensive when you buy them anything from £600 to£700, but we'll worth it.
    The mower has a 5 year warranty, and batteries 3 years, but I have seen people after 7 years still using same battery.
    Ig your in the market for one get it, you won't be disappointed.

    This Ego self-propelled battery powered lawnmower is fabulous & replaced my 17 year old petrol ‘faithful’ Honda. February in the UK is to early to cut the grass, but I couldn’t wait to try it out. It cut through 80x30 feet of tall damp Winter grass with ease with 20% left on the 5amp battery. It’s way lighter than my Honda & so much quieter. Hopefully it’ll last 17 years… 👍

    A very good honest detailed review Jay. I am 70 yrs old and wanted something light after using my fathers ATCO VISCOUNT petrol mower. So in July 2023 after a recommendation from a friend I purchased the 42cm width but identical machine and absolutely love it. It did feel strange and toy like to start with and sometimes I think it is not cutting very well....until I look at the law when I have finished, then it is fine. I have it on 3rd setting, so not super low. The battery is great too expecially with the fast charger, which takes 30 mins. Excellent machine. Recommend it so far. Light & quick.

    What a review of such an awesome mower mate, i wouldn't be without mine now 🔥 the pros definitely out weigh the cons, they are fantastic bits of kit. I do agree on the heights not being labelled so it is guess work but from a domestic point of view i tend to find the sweet spot and leave it there but i can see this posing an issue when it comes to using it on different clients houses, Some lawns are flatter than others ! Im sure its quite easy to get used to the heights tho. Its the future and we all know it, and how exciting its going to be if this is the mower that is setting the standard, imagine where we'll be in another 5 years ! keep up the good work mate love the channel & Couldn't be without the podcast to keep me entertained throughout my working week 🙌

    Nice review Jay, I’ve been wondering about ie if these for ages, as a gardener myself I do t really have many lawns it’s more border work etc, but seeing what this can do running time wise and the finish it does give I’d definitely be happier having it stood up in the van and ready to go instead of having to have the petrol mower. As you say the strip kit could do with a slight revamp maybe to stop that wheel showing on the finish and I’ve never understood why some manufacturers don’t put the cutting heights on the sides for the user to see. As a total package with the 12amp battery what price would people be looking at? Thanks for taking the time to review the lower for people like myself it’s really good to finally see a review by a person I feel I can trust with an honest opinion.

    • @JayRockGroundsMaintenance
      @JayRockGroundsMaintenance  Рік тому +3

      Thank you Karlito that is very kind of you indeed! I will only ever give you my honest opinion🙏🏼. The mower is just over £600 and the 12amp is just over £500 so £1100 in the region of. Baring in mind you get the 5amp for free with the mower kit though. You are still in the bracket of a professional fuel mower. It totally depends on usage I suppose. Yeah it baffles me with the height adjustment, I really hope it’s included in the future models. And to be fair I use this mower more without the striping kit then I do without, but it could do with a little more improvement 🤞🏽

    Thank you for this review. I am hesitating between this one and the new LM2135E-SP 52 cm though this one may be overkill as my garden is about 750m². I just want to be 100% sure I can do it in one go, since I don't like to have to wait for the battery to recharge when planning to mow the lawn. A clean cut seems to be the issue, as you can see from my front and back I think it is above board. Grass types/ turf condition/ weather all plays a part I suppose.
      I’m looking forward to seeing SALTEX and what they have and if there is any other improvements. For the noise and lighter weight alone it’s a thumbs up from me but like all these reviews we do mate it can only be passed off as my opinion and nothing more 🌱🔋

    @JayRock Lawn Care & Gardening Sam, I am waiting for the new model Kombi to come from EGO before I buy, but when I asked the supplier, they said only the base is new from EGO, more power, all the attachments are the same, is that correct from what you saw at Saltex and also are they bringing out new mowers as well, or sticking to what you are demonstrating

    • @JayRockGroundsMaintenance
      @JayRockGroundsMaintenance  Рік тому

      Hi Mick! I believe the strimmer attachment that comes with the combi is different, I think it has a graphite shaft if I remember rightly.
      As for the mowers there was nothing new shown, I know there is a new one in America but I don’t think that will hit in till 2024!🤷🏻‍♂️
      The rest of the attachments looked to be the same though pal😄

      I genuinely think it would pal! I’m doing around 20 every two weeks going at it part time, apart from the scratches there is no sign of it slowing down. I do think it’s a reliable machine though, the main benefit with this over the others is that it can stripe or cut normal as well as use that battery with other garden machinery. For yourself I suppose it depends if the Stihl battery is doing enough for you considering you are a Stihl user across the board ?💪🏽🔋

      @JayRockGroundsMaintenance  Рік тому

      Hi Ray! Yes I suppose it completely depends on your usuals, you can get them a lot cheaper for the 42cm non self propelled version. On one charge of the 12amp it’s gets me through most of the day, I think using it all day every day if you had 20-25 amps you would be absolutely doing. Each battery does around 1900m2, 800m2 I believe for the 5amp
