Great Video; thanks. I’m 52, going through my perimenopause. My husband is same age; he’s my trigger… he’s always stressed and shouting.. sad part is he wouldn’t acknowledge or listen to anyone 😢
Great vlog...I have experience it all....anxiety is no joke it can render you helpless and hopeless ...but i have learn to deal with it and to reconize the triggers and work on them before it gets out of control....exercise helps also talking it over with a trusted friend and embracing natural remedies has been a life saver in my situation....information and knowledge are both powerful this was another good topic and very much needed to hear/ learn during these crucial change of life....Thanks Eileen❤
This has been my only menopause symptom! And I never had anxiety before this. Lovely. Been going on for about 4 years, but it has been finally a bit better in the last 4 months.
Hi Eileen, it always tickles me that when I am struggling with something and looking for options....I get an email from you with a discussion on the very topic. Thank you so much. I am finding I am triggered by a family members impatience and frustrations. Doesn't even have to be at me. This week I learned a technique I'm calling "my reset time", which I am taking 2 to 3 times a day. I go somewhere quiet (outside, bathroom, etc) and set my timer for 5 minutes and do a little meditation, trying to focus on my breath, or a work (peace, serene). Then after that 5 min, I sit and with my eyes closed if I am inside (if I can go outside, I watch the clouds and landscape) and I go through a list of things I am blessed with, or I may choose the topic of what makes me happy. When I state what I am blessed with, I try to feel that wonderful feeling in my body. Then I will state the next one and try to feel that wonderful feeling of what that is. Doing this for 5 min resets my nervous system and I feel so cozy and happy, that when I walk back to what I was doing I feel so much better. And I am more clear headed so I can do my tasks with a bit of awareness. Thank you Eileen for your work, I just connected a friend to you. I am 3 yrs post menopause and she is just starting and asked what did I do? I told her about you, and that I affectionately call you Aunt Eileen because you are the Aunt that we would love to have that helps us on our journey. Hugs to you, and a lovely cup of Oatstraw tea 🙂. ~Dee
Thank you Dee, love a hug! :) That's a fantastic strategy and doesn't take up a lot of time! Also, the more you practice these kinds of things, the better they help and the quicker you can get back in control. Best Wishes Eileen
I truly believe in peoples energy and their auras. They can definitely impact us in good or bad ways. Always protect your energy ❤ I have two teenage boys and a husband with a very demanding job and I’m going through the change. Whew, challenging family dynamic is an understatement! 😂 great blog Eileen sending loads of love ❤
I love this talk so much. That was my first symptom that I was hyper aware of it. I went from chill to nuclear in such a short span. I am known around town for being patient & happy. I became impatient & snappy. Not a good feeling. I removed all toxic people in my life. That was really helpful. I live in a State where you can carry firearms legally. If there is an annoying stressful person behind me I don't engage. I can't tell you how many times I have been in a store where somebody was in a bad mood and got into it with another person and the guns came out in the store like five guys at once pointing guns. It is surreal. If I can I will move out of line away from somebody in a bad mood. One of my friends has called this a survival mechanism. I know in a few States, especially rural areas this might be a reality for many so I hope that tip can be helpful. I shop online a lot now. Stores make me a nervous wreck especially big stores like SuperCenters. I did laugh about the passion flower spray you recommended. I wonder how many of the ladies watching were thinking "Spray it on me? Can't I spray it on the person annoying me?" ROFL.
Peace be unto you and yours. I have found that when my husband is upset about something, it does indeed effect my mode as well. I have had the need to suppress my feelings. If I say anything that has to do with his being upset, it makes the situation worse. I noticed that as long as I don't react to whatever his issue is, It doesn't escalate the problem.
This is so true I am a nurse in nhs and new computer system has gone in trustwide..all the senior managers stressed and they put it on to people like me I thought I was going to collapse with stress
Yes my boss is a "whoa is me" sort of person and puts it out on me, I started saying things back, sometimes it helps, plus I tell myself it's a him problem. If I can, I walk it off, which really helps me.
Thank you so much for this. This may be unrelated but I’m in perimenopause & suddenly experiencing palpitations non stop during both the week of PMS & my period. It’s torture. I just started taking magnesium & I have an echo scheduled just in case it’s my heart, but have you ever heard of this during perimenopause?
Yep, me too. The week before or the week of my period I have palpitations. Either racing and pounding or skipping beats like crazy. I've had a complete cardiac workup so I know there's nothing wrong with my heart, it's just hormones, but it still freaks me out when it happens!
@@beetle0911 No, my thyroid levels were all fine too! They did tell me I was a bit anemic, so I started taking an iron supplement. That has helped with the palpitations and my energy levels a bit as well. That might be something to have checked if you haven't all ready!
@@amberpipher7780 I did! It was normal. I’m also experiencing low grade fevers during PMS only so I’m a hot mess and just trying to figure it all out. Thanks to the kindness of a stranger (you) I feel a little less alone 🤗.
I was wondering so my grandma shes been done with menopause for a long time now, she's 65 and she's still sexually active and she told me her partner said that she was so small to the point they could barely have sexual intercourse and that when they do they get stuck ... Does that sound like vaginal atrophy or is it vaginal atrophy?
It does sound like vaginal atrophy but your grandma would really need to speak to her doctor to get an accurate diagnosis. They may also be able to recommend something that could be of benefit for her. Best Wishes Eileen
I seem to be having the opposite phenomenon. After years of anxiety, I finally feel calm and like I have that thick skin I always wanted ❤️
I feel the same …. 🌈
I hope me2 sum day❤
This does happen to some women Saymac, I've known some fierce female warriors! :)

It almost crippled me. My nervous system has heightened.
You're welcome, all good advice, thank you. Yes, once you can understand what's going on, this is much easier to get under control!

I'm not a therapist. I would direct people to it. How can I help you when I'm on two meds and had one year of therapy myself?💯
