My dear momma would ask me why you called him Mr Brown and I would tell her possibly because you both worked at school and that’s how the kids would address him. She passed away a year ago yesterday. She enjoyed watching you and your husband. Gunsmoke was still her favorite show but you guys were a close second. Thank you for giving her some joy. She was a wonderful momma. She was 91.
God bless you with the passing of your Momma, I had a wonderful friend told me once that when I said that someone passed it made them think about school , when you passed and went to the next grade or graduated, I loved it when he told me that and it made me fill so much better about when my Momma passed yes she Graduated, sending love and hugs
Blessings to you this year darling I don’t know when your mom head exactly past but it looks about a year ago you brought up gunsmoke one of my mothers favorites as well that in the Sanford and son the Browns are quite sweet people are they not you take care 91s a beautiful age to reach💕🕯🙏 And DONT forget PIE.. Only our Morhers’ will do💝
thanks so much for sharing that recipe, i just retired , and needed somthing to grab holt to. my sweet Bride of 49 years thinks that i can do no wrong on the grill,, or smoker, and now i can rock her world with some awsome kitchen skills. thank you so much, and Godbless you both.😊
Love you both. I had a rough childhood with my Mom. You are what I always envisioned a Mom to be. Hope that doesn't sound too personal. Bless you both.
I think that is the sweetest thing!. Everyone needs a mother figure to lean up against... Even if you have a close mom, like I did. Shes gone 25 years now and its just so nice to be able to get that mom feeling again that miss Lori gives .
Well, last night I hit a home run. I cooked the No Peek Rice and Pork Chops for supper and then I baked the Easy Peasy Peach Cobbler. My husband made a pig of himself with the pork chops and then when I served him some of the peach cobbler he could not stop saying that it was the best cobbler ever. Thank you again for always sharing with us.
I have prayed and agree with many others on this channel for your daughter's total healing...but may I suggest. Gather family/church members, surround Briannah( if you can), if not just all gather together, join hands, let everyone confess sins silently(mouth movement only) OR let everyone say the Lord's Prayer in unison Matthew 6: 9-13. Lastly,, all take the Lord's supper,,include Briannah if you can. Someone pray for her healing, mentioning the blood of Christ. All thank God for His answer, whatever it may be. If no family willing or able, gather whoever will. Blessings to you and yours.
Your channel always feels like I’m coming home. It’s funny in a way. I wasn’t raised like y’all at all and my family is entirely different. Lots of different problems and struggles. But just the warmth of y’all reminds me of what home should be like. What a blessing to have your channel. Love ya!
Lori, My mom is 90 and I put your videos on my Amazon Fire Stick. We are from Mississippi originally. We love watching you together. She loves the fact that you are so down to earth, friendly, a great cook and love the lord. Making this for supper today! God bless you and Danny! Happy Thanksgiving!
Both the rice and pork chops and peach cobbler looks delicious! I love the sound of your oven door. My mama’s oven door screeched. It meant something good was going in that oven. Our screen door screeched which meant daddy was home. ☺️ Miss Lori, I love your channel, you ALWAYS make me think of my childhood. My paternal grandparents were homesteader’s. You and Mr. Brown are so much like them. God bless you and Mr. Brown.

Ms Lori l just love both these recipes you shared. They are right up my alley cause l cook just like this when i was able. Im disabled now and in a wheelchair. Keep sharing great quality stuff. Love you guys!❤❤❤
My mom made a similar pork and rice recipe, but she added raw onion rings on top of the pork chops before baking. The steamed onions were so good with the pork. Thank you for sharing all the homestyle recipes.
Slr4172--Oh Wow! My mom also put raw sliced onion on top, too! She also, used this recipe with chicken. It was so good both ways!! Thanks for the memories.
I loved watching this. My father’s family from Germany settled in the late 1800’s in the Appalachian mountains of West Virginia and migrated to Kentucky by WWII. I remember watching quilting bees, skillet cornbread, and knowing my great grandmother as well as my grandmother. They wore bonnets and made me a small one. My aunts made beautiful clothes for me (I was the only girl among the cousins), lucky me. Such strong, talented women. Thanks for bringing these memories to mind. I am going to make your recipes.
My grandmother's grandma made her a bonnet too and when I was a teen in the 70's (Little House on the Prairie time) she brought out her old one to help me copy a pattern off of it. I'm lucky that my grandma had some of her family history recorded in state genealogy history as well as a published book. (And bonus blessing, we even have a digital audio copy of her reading the account...talk about PRECIOUS!) She even gave me a piece of her 1930's feedsack fabric to make a little garment for my toddler back in the early '90's.
My family ❤️ is from the Appalachian mountains of Kentucky and I and my little brother is from Ohio, but the rest of my brothers and family are from Kentucky! But we know a lot of country ways because we were raised that way and I Love it. I know how to MAKE it in that kitchen for my husband. And when my boys were growing up! I LOVE YOUR COOKING!
This sure makes me think of my grandparents! They had a peach orchard when I was little, and I made mud pies while Grandpa was watering the trees. Grandmother was a good cook and this sure brings back sweet memories. I still love peach cobbler! God bless you both!
You’re taken me back. My Mom was a teacher so we all shared the cooking. This pork chop recipe was my Mom’s favorite. I had forgotten all about it. Thank you for your videos. They always bring me joy. I am from Northern New York. I live in Oregon now where you almost never have to shovel the precipitation .❤ Christine
Miss Lori I just got an online order from Porter Road Butchers, locally grown in southern Kentucky and Tennessee. The pork they carry is so good, just like I remember from childhood. Pricier but worth it. If someone can splurge a little, the local products are so much better than the grocery store, grass fed beef, etc. and you’re supporting our farmers and ranchers.
I make the rice and pork chops in my crock pot some Sundays before church so it's ready when we get home for Sunday Dinner. It's even good with chicken also. Looks so yummy coming out of your new oven. I love it
Pork is my favorite meat as well. I'm happy that I'm able to buy small roasts as I'm alone. I am going to start prepping meals for the winter. Once the weather cools A bit.
Love watching the two of You, even when You're not cooking! With the world and My job as crazy as it is, it's nice to see happiness. I actually watch before work to start My day off right! Keep doing exactly as You are! We All love You 2 too!🥰
I saw your thumbnail before I went to the grocery store, I came home with pork chops and will be making this tomorrow for Sunday dinner! Thanks so much for the idea!
Mmm I made this tonight for dinner and desert. So far I’ve had the pork chops and rice and it was so good! Waiting on the cobbler to come out of the oven now. It’s so good and I just cooked along with you on this video! I love this! Thankyou so much❤❤❤
Oh, I needed to try my very first cobbler, in the oven right now. I used pineapples, my husbands favorite. Will see in about 30 minutes how it turns out. Thank you for this easy recipe!
Just settin' down to a delicious supper of No Peek Rice and Chicken, made just like you made it, except I used chicken and added sliced sautéed mushrooms. It takes just like I remember from my childhood. Thank you, Miss Laurie💖💖You are a blessing!
I love your home, it looks so beautiful. I’m from southern West Virginia and I can’t wait to make this tonight. I’m also a teacher, from a family of teachers (both of my parents and both sisters, we are all elementary school teachers).
I have not cooked Pork Chops in a long time and now you made me hungry for them. I love a bone-in chop, but any pork is good pork. Always nice spending time with you!
One of my go-to casseroles! Infinitely variable. Use about any cut of chicken or pork as you mentioned. To make a one dish meal, I also toss in any vegetables I want to use up and, if there is none in refrig, then grab a package of mixed vegetables or california mix or whatever out of the freezer and toss them still frozen in the rice/broth/seasoning mix. I usually give it an hour in the oven during which I clean the kitchen or just relax.
These recipes are so good. Just what you need on a autumn night / winter night . A real family dinner to warm your heart. Thank you for sharing Your time with us today 🙏🙏🙏❤️
Peach is my favorite cobbler too. Except when my Great Grandma made blueberry cobbler when we visited her in PA. They grew their own blueberries there and people would stop by sometimes to buy her blueberries. She lived to 102 and with her and my son (his Great, Great Grandma) we had many five generation gatherings. God bless you guys. Shirley.
My mother learned this recipe from a lady from Tennessee. We use them large aluminum roasting pans cause you can make 12 porkchops and five cups of rice. It gets everybody fed, and if you're lucky, there's a porkchop left and some rice for lunch the next day. There's never no desert left, though.
You’re right, Lipton’s onion soup mix is always good! I use it in my meatloaf, hamburgers and over my roast beef. Your no peak pork chops look good! Definitely a must try in my house! Also a must try is your peach cobbler recipe! Thank you for recipe suggestions for Sunday!
Miss Lori, Have you ever tried mixing a can (or homemade) of apple pie filling with sweet potatoes or yams? Had it the first time a few years ago at a restaurant holiday buffet in the mountains of West Virginia. So, so yummy!
Morning, this reminds me of a favorite dish my Mom made for many years. Mom made it with chicken instead of porkchops, we loved the rice so much she would double the rice mix. Thanks so much.
I think I've said it before, but probably on an old video (starting from the beginning)... but I love your videos. Your one of very few channels I actually LOOK for new videos on. From cooking and canning, to gardening and homestead sufficiency. I love all your content! Thank you for sharing!!!
Pork is my favorite meat, as well. My daddy raised pigs, and we always had the best pork. Thanks for the lovely videos. Your squeaking oven doesn't bother me a bit! Those black -eyed peas would be great with some good old fried okra.😅
I am so excited to see this recipe! My mom used to make this, but she added either canned or frozen peas in the rice/soup mixture, and she breaded her pork chops before pan frying. I’ve never been able to duplicate it because I could never gauge the proper amount of water needed with the condensed soup, to get the rice done just right.. Silly, I know, but for some reason, I struggle with rice. My mom never measured either, so it was a “until it looks right” measurement.. Thanks for shedding light on this “mystery”!
Thank you for these recipes Ms. Lori. I really need to try both of them! What a delicious looking meal! Mr. Brown is one lucky guy! He knows he's loved!❤️
Love the that you call your husband Mr Brown. My great Aunt called her husband Mr as well. She also loved to cook. She gave me her cookbook with all her recipe notes, such warm memories.
Hi Lori, I just love you and Mr.Brown! I’m a new subscriber after I saw your video and yes I’ll definitely try the peach cobbler…Thank you for what you do for us!!!! God bless you and your precious family! 💚
Ms. Lori, everything looked so delicious. Let the oven squeak! It's a wonderful sound that shows how much love is in the meals cooked in your kitchen ♡♡ I love it! Be well.
Hello Ms Laurie. That pork casserole looks sooo yummy, but that cobbler, makes my heart sing!!! I'm in love with peaches. I just might make it soon. God bless you and Mr. Brown.
Luv watching u cook M Lori. Those Dishes look wonderful, especially the Peach Cobbler. Also luv that Stove, reminds me of the one my Mother used. One regret I had coming up was my Grandmother's on both sides had Already passed away. My Mother taught me how to cook, but she would tell me stories of how people loved their cooking so much, this is where they would come to to eat Sunday Dinner. I was glad to hear those stories and more. She had a Special stool that she would have for me to stand on to watch her mix up all those ingredients for Dinner. Oh my gosh, I thought I had Graduated with a Degree in Home Economics. Fun times for me to be standing right beside her. I could have sworn she knew everything about it all. I loved being on a Farm, how fun. Thank u so much for sharing, luv watching and still learning. Stay Blessed!
I was looking on here for some inspiration for supper tonight and low and behold....this is it! I have my chops thawing now and I’m even going to open up a pint of purple hull peas AND make some sweet potatoes from my garden! Thanks gal! I know it’s going to be delicious here on my table here in Kentucky! ❤
Yep it’s in the oven now. I didn’t have any Lipton soup mix in my pantry so I chopped up some onions I dehydrated this summer and added some extra seasoning with it. I even have a pint of purple hull peas simmering on the stove that I canned this summer. I love this time of year because we get to enjoy the fruits of our hard labor over the summer! Happy Fall y’all! 😃
Ms Lori it looks so good 😊 daddy taught me to cook pork chops and rice in the oven but we put the rice and chops in the bottom of the pan then layer cut onions and a layer of b&b mushrooms then add butter around and good ole Worcestershire sauce and a little salt and pepper. Cover the pan with foil creating a dome and poke some holes in the top spaced around. Then cook on broil. But I have cooked it on 375. I don't recall him calling it a no peek tho. And with the cream of mushroom or cream of chicken I'd add chopped potatoes. Kids liked it and asked for more...lol... Imma have to cook it again sometime soon. Thank you... We raised hogs too when I was a kid. Yepp... Favorite here is pork too..😊 👍
I love baked pork chops with rice. I do add a can of stewed tomatoes to it and the rice tastes like Spanish rice flavored with juices from the chops. I usually make green beans and applesauce as side dishes. So good!
Thank you Miss Lori I admit pork chops have always been my favorite as well. I will be doing this recipe soon. Plus I'm going to try the lemon pepper as well. Have a blessed week💗

Looks good. Great recipe, only when I cook pork loin chops like you had, they're dry if I cook them that long. I'm going to try this same recipe with pork shoulder chops. Peach cobber! Yum! Thank you Miss Lori.

I thank you so much for explaining your recipes, and telling the history. Everything looks so delicious. Your kitchen is lovely, so warm, cozy, and inviting.
Mrs. Lori, I already made your Peach Cobbler (my hubby loved it) I cannot taste anything because of cancer radiation, but I can sure cook for him! Tonight I am making the No Peak Pork Chops! Cannot wait! Thanks for being here and sharing!
Mrs. Pugh, I had radiation iodine for Thyroid cancer November 2022 and lost my sense of taste for approximately 3-4 months. It’s returned, thank goodness! I’m scheduled for another treatment in May, but am sure happy taste has returned thus far. I know how frustrating the loss of taste can be, but mine did return, so hope yours does, too!

Hi Mrs. Lori, love peach cobbler it's my favorite, blackberry comes in at a close second. I made a recipe close to yours, but I used chicken thighs and uncle bens wild and long grain rice. I bet the pork chops would be good also. You and Mr. Brown have a very blessed and awesome week. Stay safe and stay well. Love ya.
That pork chops and rice looked absolutely wonderful. I, also prefer pork over chicken and my mouth was watering when you pulled it out of your oven.🙂 That peach cobbler looked scrumptious 🌞 Thank you for sharing it with the viewing audience 🙂 Sincerely, Sharon
Omgoodness I can't wait to make both these recipes! I've had the chops like this year's ago, I've forgotten how good it is. I want to try the cream of celery this time. THANK YOU MUCH xo

Cherry pie filling is not so bad either.
Oh coleslaw one of fav.of barbaques this sound's so good
Morning, this reminds me of a favorite dish my Mom made for many years. Mom made it with chicken instead of porkchops, we loved the rice so much she would double the rice mix. Thanks so much.
Yumminess
Do you know what extra liquid your mom used when she made the double rice mixture?
@@judy6734 Mom just added extra water or chicken broth if we had it, into the soups.
I think I've said it before, but probably on an old video (starting from the beginning)... but I love your videos. Your one of very few channels I actually LOOK for new videos on.
From cooking and canning, to gardening and homestead sufficiency. I love all your content! Thank you for sharing!!!
I make this peach cobbler too. I put cinnamon and a little vanilla in the batter. It is always a hit when I make it.
Oh my gosh that no peek chops looks incredible. Saving it to my recipes. I love fruit cobblers.
Thank you Ms. Lori. ❤️😊I made both last night. I used chicken breast for the entree and blueberries for the cobbler. Delicious!
My mother is 75 and she loves your channel. She just mentioned it to me tonight and now i'm hooked! LOL! Keep up the good work. 🙂
Thank you for these recipes Ms. Lori. I really need to try both of them! What a delicious looking meal! Mr. Brown is one lucky guy! He knows he's loved!❤️
thankU Mom & Pa 4 lettin" us call y'all by these names allllll day long Amen 💜 ✝️ 🙏
Oh my goodness!! Peas, and candied sweet potatoes, too. The peach cobbler looks amazing. I know what I'm gonna be cooking this week!!
Love the that you call your husband Mr Brown. My great Aunt called her husband Mr as well. She also loved to cook. She gave me her cookbook with all her recipe notes, such warm memories.
My mom used to make the pork dish on busy days. It was always good. ❤️
Hi Lori, I just love you and Mr.Brown! I’m a new subscriber after I saw your video and yes I’ll definitely try the peach cobbler…Thank you for what you do for us!!!! God bless you and your precious family! 💚
I love to make this recipe. It’s SOOO CONVENIENT 👌🏻
Miss Lori you are right. Pork is the meat of the gods.
Hi Mrs.Lori,Those are some nice chops.🥰🙋🏽♀️
Yumminess
Yep it’s in the oven now. I didn’t have any Lipton soup mix in my pantry so I chopped up some onions I dehydrated this summer and added some extra seasoning with it. I even have a pint of purple hull peas simmering on the stove that I canned this summer. I love this time of year because we get to enjoy the fruits of our hard labor over the summer! Happy Fall y’all! 😃
Thanks for the recipe . ❤️
Yepp... Favorite here is pork too..😊 👍
They looked yummy Miss Lori!
Retired Executive chef over 28 years and I still go with the old school recipes. Rochelle and I really enjoy your channel and I will be making these. God Bless, Mike

Hi Miss Lori- I made this pork chop dish for dinner tonight and it was so delicious! My husband loved it. We bought a pig earlier in the year so we had some good pork to use in this recipe. Thank you for your videos. I just love to watch them. Sending love ❤️
Looks good. Great recipe, only when I cook pork loin chops like you had, they're dry if I cook them that long. I'm going to try this same recipe with pork shoulder chops. Peach cobber! Yum! Thank you Miss Lori.
Hi Ms Ford. I am new to your channel. I love, love, love pork chops. Fried, grilled, baked, broiled!!! I love rice also. I am so eager to cook this recipe.
@@katw3070 Thanks for letting me know that, yes I hope it returns as well. I can taste certain things. Lol, sugar I cannot taste, maybe that is a blessing! Good luck to you as well!
@@legaltidbits Thank you! Stay strong and take care of yourself.
Your peach cobbler recipe reminds me a lot of an OLD Paula Deen recipe from back in the day. This meal looks delicious! Blessing from Iowa💕
Thank you again for the wonderful narration of your cooking videos. Even an old blind woman like myself can follow your instructions. You are just so clear and normal when you talk that its easy to follow your recopies. Lots of love to you and Mr. Brown.
So nice of you

Hello from the Hills of Tennessee god bless you all in Jesus name Amen
Love how easy and good this cobbler looks! Can’t wait to try it and see how much more weight I can gain adding to these pandemic pounds!! Just don’t understand why my husband has never had that problem and he eats ice cream every night. Another one of those questions I am saving for when I meet the Lord! Blessings ❤😊
I look at it this way, we’ll be a lot harder to kidnapp.
@@decoy8645 haha good idea!
