i let them assemble it. i figure if im gonna spend over a grand on a street legal mini bike id lay off the risk of a DOA electrical part on the dealership. i have a vitacci mudstar minibike and put it together from the steel cage, but its a lawn mower. the tank has a lot of stuff that could keep the bike from running. hard to get service from texas when you live out on the prairie.. my vitacci mudstar was branded massimo motors. I bought it direct from massimo last november. no issues. i need to broaden my horizons so i got the tank. im 70 too old to die young

Those aren't crash bars. Those are saddle bag mounts for the ones you can buy with or separately. It also has a large trunk you can purchase separately or have it come with the bike.

This scooter has mosfet technology, a unit that looks like a cdi but it's not, it's a LCU, or light control unit, also it is wired differently on these bikes, some control the lights others it controls the e-choke, also there are many variations of this LCU that will also be replacing the flasher relay. These bikes don't come with the well known scooter diagram so if you want to know how yours is wired you can do what I did which is open the wiring harness and sketch out a diagram. If yours is connected to the e-choke and goes bad your bike will shut off because the choke won't close off the extra air inlet at startup😊.....
Can you help me on this my scooter is having problems with fuel and air mixture and is not idling right could it be this LCU connected to the e-choke? @natvega1
@@shuajo13 disconnect the e-choke, remove the mounting plate 2 screws, turn the e-choke plastic top 5 turns to the right, you will be able to see the pin close the small air hole as you turn clockwise, reinstall and leave the e-choke disconnected. If you live in an area where the choke is needed for startup then purchace a manuel choke online for about $50.

Ive gone 78 miles since my last fill up. Assuming i dod the math right that divided by the 1.32 gallon gas tank I got 59MPG. Im almost 200Lbs and usuaygo The Max Speed of 50
I think it's decent for the price but not sure if a 200cc Chinese dual sport or scrambler of similar price would be more versatile/usable. That scooter does look cool though

I have watched alot of these Tank videos for this one and the deluxe model and in, so far, all the vids I don't see any bar ends installed on the handle bars. Just wondering why? Do these bikes not come with them or is just nobody installing them on assembly?
Does it have a gas light that comes on? I have this and I just took the first tank of gas down to one bar but no gas light. I don’t know if I want to find out lol
You have to replace the exhaust. It's so restricted. I have the same bike but not efi. It was stuck at 40 mph. After I changed the exhaust it turned into a whole different best. It would hit 60mph. I weigh 280 so I can see why it wouldn't go 62 but close enough.
My odometer/speedometer isn’t working, what is the distance approximately between the sensor and the notches on the rotor of yours? I’m really surprised of the overall quality of the build, I was expecting damage in shipping but happily I only have minor scratches. Thanks
Sorry to hear about the speedo/odo. I would say there is maybe only 1/8" distance between rotor and sensor. It's very close. Have you chased the thin black wire from the sensor back up to the cluster to see if everything is connected properly?
What I want to know is how many miles you have on your Tank 200 now, and what problems have you had with it sofar, if any? Most videos on Chinese scooters were made shortly after purchase. 90% of them have less than 100 miles on the scooter and the other 10% have less than 1000 miles. I would love to see videos of Chinese scooters with over 5000, and even over 10,000 miles on them. Any thing that is fairly new does and should work fine.
I ordered it from powersportsmax, but it looks like they no longer carry it. It's a 168cc GY6 engine with 12" wheels. Most parts are readily available.
@@DoubleFam8000 I've had a couple people ask if the engine in the Tank is the same as the Clash. The LF prefix on the Clash engine indicates it was made by Lifan but Lifan will leave off the LF if that's what the buyer wants. Other engine manufacturers will do the same so we don't know which company makes the Tank engine. I have many years of experience with Lifan engines so they are a check in the plus column for me but that doesn't mean other manufacturers are inferior. They may be the same or better.
Any long term updates with this scooter on california roads. Thinking about getting one to commute on. ANy issues from DMV register this bike and insurance was able provide coverage for this? cost? Thanks a bunch.
I've only put around 250 miles on it but so far it's been great. No issues at all. I did have to do a VIN verification with the CHP, but after that I went back to DMV, paid my fees and got the plates.

I have Italica tank , but I don't have the little circle to the left of the cup holder...thats my has tank the left little black circle in the front....do you have 2 gast tanks one in the back and that front left one?
It drives well. Acceleration is as expected on a scooter with this size engine. It won't win any drag races. Top speed depends on your weight but 55-60 seems achievable. It's a good in town scooter for a great price. I've never owned another scooter or motorcycle so I can't compare but it feels nimble enough. At top speed it doesn't vibrate too crazy or feel likes it's coming apart. That's just my experience with it so far.

Ive been looking at something like this for commuting back and forth to work. I live fifteen Miles away from work so round trip would be 30 miles. If it can do speeds of 55 to 60 mph that would be more than enough to commute back and forth to work taking the backroads. As of today how's it been so far?

Search for Vitacci Tank 200 here on UA-cam and I believe there are other channels who sell it. I don't know the price though. The Vitacci Clash 200 is another option but there are differences such as a drum brake in the rear.

I think saying it’s a clone is misleading. It looks like a Zuma on the outside but it’s by no means a copy. Engine is totally different and you will be working on it a lot and people need to understand that
YMMV, the problem with Chinese scooters is often poor quality control. Some might work on them quite often, while others ride for thousands of miles doing only routine maintenance. It's really a crap shoot so yes you must be prepared to work on it if necessary. "Clone" is the accepted verbiage for these scooters. It's obviously different than a Zuma, just as a Grom clone is very different than an actual Grom, but for the sake of simplicity that's what it's called.
I’ve only driven on a couple of the surrounding streets but I’ve had it to 55mph with some throttle to spare, but it’s still in the break in so I’m not pushing it too hard.

Make sure you use the spacers on either side of the wheel. It was a bit tricky getting the rotor in between the brake pads so you have to mess with it a bit.

Mine can't go over 50 despite the Claimed Max Speed being 62. Do I have a Rev Limiter? Also I will be contacting the Shop I bought it at.

I’m not sure. The website I purchased from lists is as just gy6. It might be just a generic. I haven’t pulled panels to get a good look at the engine.
