    Note: Ignore what I said about the headlights. The switch is not backwards. The high beam just didn’t work. I took a look at the wires and it turns out, during assembly, they did not fully connect the headlight wire. The low beam prong was touching but the high beam prong was not. Got it connected and now both work. Also the tires were overinflated by the dealer which is what caused the shaking.

      Hey brother, I just recently found out these Tank and the Tank deluxe have not had the wheels and tires balanced and they need that little item addressed before ya put too many miles on them or the tires will dimple out and can cause head shake if not done immediately before riding it. Later man!

    • @TheOutdoorExperience

      @@Shagnasty-bo5bj Thanks man. I've never heard of scooter tires getting balanced but then again, I've only had two 50cc scooters before with 10 inch tires. I'm reading now that if it goes over 50mph, it's best to get them balanced. I'll look into that.

      @@TheOutdoorExperience Yeh man, even if the bike is good in the suspention and a good rigid frame you may not sense the vibration at lower around town speeds but over time still can dimple the tires pretty bad. For example, the Chinese tires quality of the vulcaniztion is really not very good. When I balance my own tires for my scoot, when it has been a good higher quality tire I rarely ever have to put more than 1 ounce of weights at the most. But not too long ago in an effort to save some money I got a cheap Chinese tire and before I had that thing balaced out I had to put 4 ounces of weights on the rim. I have never had to do that ever on any other brand of tire. Later man!!😁

    Instead of zip ties for the rack, try hose clamps. No more cutting them off every time, just need a screwdriver. Just an idea to consider

      I actually got a rack on now. It’s been cold and rainy so I haven’t been able to ride again. It’s got a mount with 4 bolts. Easy on and off. Still can’t use my side boxes unless I move it back which will cause more bounce on my delivery bag. But is ok. I don’t need the side boxes unless I go on a trip where I need them at which point the rack will be taken off. I can however still get the trunk bracket on over the rack if I ever need that. Stick around. I’ll be riding later this week when the rain goes away.

    broski id recommend getting some gear. especially gloves. ideally id buy all the gear just in case of a crash. no need to go all out and get alpinestars but rev'it! do cheap gloves and any motorcycle shop should be able to sort you out on a budget. other than that, love the scooter, looks like a ton of fun to zip around town with.

      I do have the helmet and gloves with knuckle guards. I’m starting to wear the gloves more. As far as pants and jacket, seems like most affordable ones are so damn uncomfortable and stiff that I can’t stand it lol. I’m actually looking at the PandoMoto base layer top and bottom. Not sure on the comfort of them but if it’s something I can throw on and wear my normal clothes on top, then at least I have some kind of protection.

    Any chance you can look at the side boxes and see what the part number is for them since they already have the brackets on the bike... That way someone doesn't have to pay the deluxe price for some boxes that they might be able to order separately at a lower cost.
    That top box really looks like a shadd top box. Thinking the pannier bags are as well.

    • @TheOutdoorExperience
      @TheOutdoorExperience  6 місяців тому

      Also, maintenance is in KM but I just do oil changes every 500 miles and gear oil every 1000 miles. Easy to remember. Although I may just do them both every 500 miles because the gears kinda lag after a couple hundred miles. It’s pretty smooth after fresh gear oil.

    Yeah, Finally got my Tank on 08/13/24 about 7 pm, I put it together the next day and it was a little work. Was missing bolt for the rear shock, went and got one, then I was missing the nut for the steering, went and got one and got it running. Started first try. It will not start using the kick starter though, I'll have to figure that out, any suggestions? I got the paper work the same day but early afternoon from Fedex. I didn't get the Deluxe, they didn't have them. It does have the Bluetooth and all the crash bars and also 13 inch wheels. Bluetooth has an FM tuner which surprised me. All legal and on the road now. Took a little while to get used to because I usually ride my1994 Sportster and I wanted to squeeze the clutch but it was the brake on the scooter. Only did it once.

    • @TheOutdoorExperience
      @TheOutdoorExperience  3 місяці тому

      Awesome, how you like it so far? That kickstart can be a little finicky. Especially if you take the drive belt cover off because you gotta line up the teeth on the kickstart just right to get the cover back on. So heads up on that. But I haven’t had any issues with getting the kickstart to work. Also, it’s kinda weird that you got all the features of the deluxe except for the side boxes. What do the rear side bars look like? Square or rectangle?

    • @mrkkenny
      @mrkkenny 3 місяці тому

      @@TheOutdoorExperience Hi, I sent you a reply about an hour or so ago, but it is no longer there. I did leave you a link where I got my Tank (same place as you), so I think UA-cam considered it spam or something. This happened before. The rear side bars are like the ones on the regular version, there is no way to add luggage boxes, no latches to hold them. I would say they are rectangular. All the other bars look like your scooter. Also, I found a recent video from a dealer saying that the newer models all come with 13-inch wheels. That's why I got this one. I was going to get the Deluxe like yours, but it wasn't available at the time I ordered. As far as the Kickstarter, the engine turns over with it, but it will not start the engine, sounds like something electrical. Maybe a wire came off or something like that. I did not have a chance to look at it yet. It is a lot of fun to ride, different from a regular motorcycle. I am really enjoying it. I'm glad I saw your video, it helped with my decision on which one to buy! They should give you a commission.

      Ordered mine thru Amazon. They come with no instructions at àll, so you can pay extra for them to assemble it for you.

      @@TheOutdoorExperience Thank You for replying so fast. I ordered mine from the same place as you on July 22. When I call they say next week or something like that. I'm getting a little worried . I came across your channel while looking for reviews on this scooter and yours is the best, you go into a lot of detail. Just subscribed to your channel. A lot of interesting video's. I liked the scooter camping video. I did leave a couple of comments the other day, but they disappeared. Maybe the way I worded them or something. Keep up the good work and hope your subs grow !

      Yea I kept calling them too and was getting the runaround. I think it’s the shipping company that’s delaying it. I saw a bunch of bad reviews on the shipping. But yea it took just about 3 weeks. As far as the comments, UA-cam seems to be getting worse at the whole comment thing. I think it’s all automated and it sucks. I check held comments daily and I haven’t seen any lately. UA-cam censorship is getting ridiculous lol.

      @@TheOutdoorExperience Yeah, I'm getting the runaround too. When I and if I get it, I'll let you know. As far as UA-cam censorship I agree, it's getting rediculous. Must be hard to make video's when you have to watch every word you say.

      The place I ordered from had the tires overinflated. It’s better now since I let some air out to the recommended PSI. Still running strong after almost 1k miles

    Is it a smooth ride or is there a lot of vibration?

    • @TheOutdoorExperience
      @TheOutdoorExperience  7 місяців тому +2

      There was a lot of vibration on this ride but afterwards, I checked the tire pressure and they had it over inflated when they assembled it. It was at 46psi and it’s supposed to be 32psi. On my next ride, it was much smoother at 34psi but there’s still a little bit of vibration. Not enough to bother me though.

    • @TheOutdoorExperience

      I did the first change at 300 miles because it was recommended. I did the second one at 500 miles because I’m going to do it every 500 miles after that. The gear oil I did at 300 miles and then I’m gonna do the next one at 1000 miles and then every 1000 miles after that.

      This was the first ride and I didn’t know that the tires were overinflated from the shop I got it from. I lowered the PSI and it’s much better now. I’m up to 300 miles on this now and I’m loving it. No issues yet.

      This is my 3rd Chinese scooter in the last 12 years and I haven’t had one fail me yet if that helps any. I think the ones who have problems are people who ride the hell out of them. They’re met for just normal daily commutes.
