EXCELLENT - you started out showing us how a normal size guy fits on the scooter. THAT is the most important thing. Not driving around some city and showing us the scenery.
I just got the 170 model. Supposed to have factory-installed big bore, can't wait to put it together this weekend. My fuel tank is in different location but mostly the same. However I have the side cases and rear storage. Thank you for the video
@@mocktagoon I'll work on one as soon as I can. One of the things that I was worried about from the photos was how bright is the instrument panel? Answer is very lol. It rides pretty smooth. It did not assemble properly. And i think my F150 is better on gas so this is strictly a "for fun" vehicle so far.
@@JessicaRodriguez-gi2cl According to my fuel gauge I'm getting about 60 miles for 3/4 of a tank. When I go to refill it it doesn't even take one gallon. So the fuel gauge is not very accurate. My miles are accurate, so I think I'm going to fill it and then drive it till it dies to get a legit Number
To pop the seat there are two options, one when the bike is running twist to the right, 2 when the bike is off twist to the left, and to change that option remove front cover and on the ignition switch you will see 2 slots left and right for the oprion you choose, you have to remove the ignition switch to select the side you want, easy only 2 allen key bolts.
Xpro has the same moped called Tahiti. These are made and china and companies just slap their decals and logos on them. I'm not knocking the moped, I actually plan on getting one myself, but if a dealer ship or online store is out of stock, then you have options.
@@Lloyd-mo must be a newer gen model some Tahitis have a rear disc to. Doesn't change the fact that they essentially the same just with different names.
I like the anti-theft features and ease of access to fuel up. Plus, it's a neat-looking scooter. Maybe reliability isn't the greatest but probably average or a bit below average. It could suffice as long as one is extra diligent with maintenance/wear and tear
Two questions: Was that a red turn signal in the front of the carb? I don't think red lights on front are legal in my state. Is it fuel injected or does it have a carb?
How reliable are Icebear products a few years down the road and what parts availalibility is there? I haven’t seen any videos or articles about their sustainability.
these are better than most incredibly cheap ChinaBikes, but they are still Chinabikes. You will likely need to work out a few issues when you first get it, and you will need to be vigilant about other issue over time, but at least they are easy to work on. Your biggest issues are likely to be with fueling, carbs are often an issue, on the maddog types, fuel delivery to the carb is problematic but this bike and most of the scooters have the tank up where it will gravity-feed to the carb. The bike runs on the GY6 which is a great motor/trans with crazy-good parts availability, including performance upgrades. You are likely to see issues with the wires over time, but wires are universal.... the rest of the electric system (stator, CDI, etc) are easily available from aftermarket sources, although you might find that factory switchgear and lights are less available unless you're willing to kludge things up as needed..HTH
Hi! As a dealer, do you think the Ascend 150 is manufactured by Yamaha as well? Or probably did they sold the design and copyrights of the Yamaha Suma to some other manufacturer? Anyway this Ascend looks like a good quality vehícule! Nice video!
A very interesting scoot….might trade off my current 150 for one. However, I seriously doubt that that 8 bhp GY6 engine would push that scoot up to 55 mph plus, unless it’s been tweaked up to 11 bhp or more. Most likely, 40 to 45 mph is the more realistic cruising speed with the engine spinning at 6000 to 7000 rpms. Additionally, I’ve a feeling the variator rollers may weigh in around 17 grams. Those I would replace with 15 gram sliders. Also replace the drive belt with a Gates, and swap out the Chinese carb with a Japanese one…
You're right. Crusing range on this due to body weight is about 45 mph. You can check out the Clash 200 EFI or the TANK 200 EFI that can deliver upto 68 mph top speed.
