Seth MacFarlane directs, produces, co-writes and plays the role of the cowardly sheep farmer Albert in A Million Ways to Die in the West. After Albert backs out of a gunfight, his fickle girlfriend leaves him for another man. When a mysterious and beautiful woman rides into town, she helps him find his courage and they begin to fall in love. But when her husband, a notorious outlaw, arrives seeking revenge, the farmer must put his newfound courage to the test.
Starring alongside MacFarlane are Oscar® winner Charlize Theron, Liam Neeson, Amanda Seyfried, Giovanni Ribisi, Sarah Silverman and Neil Patrick Harris. MacFarlane reunites many of the filmmakers behind Universal and MRC's hit film Ted including Scott Stuber (Bluegrass Films) and Jason Clark who produce, and Wellesley Wild and Alec Sulkin who co-wrote the script.

Seth is such a great character on family that it's hard for me to not hear and wish for Brian and see him as a serious actor. I think they should have done live action family guy. It might have made a bigger splash and they could have even used the same story line as this movie

It kinda almost did. I think it was being viewed quite a lot on Netflix, a whole while ago and it generated some interest in a sequel, but it never happened. At least there's a Ted TV show.

As much as this movie wasn't the greatest, I wish Seth would make some more movies. I'd even enjoy seeing a Ted 3. I actually REALLY like The Orville, and despite a few things, I'd say Seth has really got it down. It's got a lot of heart, and is pretty great for his first LIVE ACTION show. Thanks to COVID the third Season has been delayed, and who knows if it'll even happen at this point, but the point is--we need more Seth MacFarlane outside of just Family Guy and American Dad. (Especially considering he doesn't have much creative involvement in either of them anymore these days, and mostly just voices now lol)

I'm not a big McFarlane fan but I thought this was a fun movie; some big laughs, beautiful scenery, good music and Seth as fine in the lead. At 2:28 Seth is in a hot air balloon over a forest fire, anyone know what happened to this sequence?
I think it might have been in the scene where he gets high on the tribal drugs but just never made it into the movie.
