I am one of the few djs that use vdj 8 professionally her in PA and am making the switch to serato because it actually is beeter if you scratch the sound of the scratching is nowhere even close with vdj 8 unless im missing some setting.

I'm a very beginner. You started with all your music in serato. But a lot of us need help understanding how to get the music into the serato library.
You just need to open a file explorer (or finder on mac) window, navigate to all of your music files, then select and drag them into Serato.
The horizontal mode for me I'm used to PROTOOLS so that feels more normal for me!
Seeing the video is helpful, how do I erase all and start again from scratch?

With Dj pools, could you subscribe for a month, download as much music as you want, then unsubscribe and still be able to keep the music you downloaded ?
Yes! Once the music is downloaded to your computer, it's yours to keep!
I’m having trouble with my serato dj pro… why is it when I load a song to cue I can hear 2 different songs playing at the same time? How can I fix this? Help please 🙏🏼

how do you set up 2 decks it's not loading wen I plug in ddj sb2
thats because you havent installed the drivers. even if its says two drivers installed i,e usb and pio ddj sb2, youll still have to install the provied ddjsb2 windows/mac driver found on serato website. if you dont, when you connect the controller it will flash for a minute and then say error, cannot connect audio!! Also make sure the defaut device and default communication device is the internal speakers of the laptop.

hi I use both Serato dj pro with iTunes to dj with and I want to delete both Serato dj pro and iTunes without deleting my music files and start all over again and this time without using iTunes with Serato dj pro. Because for some reason I lost a lot of music files that they are no where to be found on my computer nor in my external hard drive and by the way I use an external hard drive with Serato dj pro which is where I keep my music files and iTunes folder. I did realize I have Serato and Serato backup folders in my internal and external hard drive and I think that is how my music files go missing.
Can you please tell me how do I go about starting over and to be able to have my Serato dj pro setup nice and clean, cause the way my Serato dj pro looks now is very messy. seeing all these red or orange files with ? marks and lightning icon is an eyesore to me.

Sooo I haven't touched my Technics and Serato for over 4 years and today I tried to hook it up but it's not recognizing the controller? I tried installing Scratch Live 2.5 but it asked me to upgrade to DJ Pro2.1.0. Which couldn't even finish installing because it kept crashing. I don't think the windows is recognizing the controller. Please help!

Yes all of the songs in my library are MP3 files that were downloaded. Mostly from record pools such as DJCity and Headliner Music Club.

Hello how are u im using serato dj and i purchased the ortofon s120 for serato and i installed them on my turntables and they sound distorted need a resolution
Make sure that your turntables are plugged into a phono input on your mixer/controller, that may resolve the issue.

Your computer may not be giving enough power over the USB ports to support both the controller and the mouse. Try using the SR's power supply or maybe try using a powered USB hub to plug the mouse into?

How can I stop the humming sounds on my jbl srx powered speaker..the only way it'll stop if the controller is on and what xlr cables do you recommend?
That sounds like a grounding issue. I would try running different and better shielded cables from your controller to your speakers. Also try checking the power source your speakers are plugged into. If the power isn't grounded correctly or shielded well you will get that hum.

Take a look at the cuing section of the hardware you are using, the controls for that function is there and not in the software.

Are you using a Serato DJ compatible sound card, mixer, or controller?
post the model of the controller you are using. also make sure you have installed the drivers of your controller even if windows/mac shows that all the drivers are installed. also make sure your internal sound drivers are set to be default device and default communication device respectively. try different usb ports but am sure step one and two will take care of your issue
I forgot to say, when your buying your machine/gear/hardware. Make SURE its Serato compatible. dont go buying recordbox machines and then get a heart attack when it doesn't display the jog wheels on serato. but these days any gear has a walkabout to any software you want

I get my music from dj record pools, which are paid subscription services for DJs where you can download as much music as you want for a monthly fee.
PDotTV how much do you pay for your DJ pool? And which one do you use?

you can do that from You Tube. but pools are good
How do I see the most recent song download / added to serato dj?
Right click on the columns and select "added". This will show the date that songs were added to Serato, and you can organize them accordingly.

I would say a used Macbook would be your best bet!

Not sure what you are asking exactly? You'd be able to pay whatever music you have saved in compatible formats on your console loiter with a controller like and sb2

It does not have a on screen mixer similar to Virtual DJ or Traktor. You need some sort of hardware connected to be able to mix on it.

nah you can use any song you like... idealy you'd want to download mp3s off youtube. You find the song you downloaded in Serato, drag it to the deck, and it's there !
rodmukesjr but "ideally" u want to purchase them. Ripping songs from youtube drastically makes the quality worse and takes money from artists.
Both ways aren't the best... Better buy a "Club member lisence" on a dj platform and get your Songs there its wayy cheaper (30$) and good quality

+Jonathan Garcia run the USB cable from the hardware like a mixer, controller, or audio interface, to your computer. Serato DJ will not function with just your computer

on the controller there is a wide round wheel mainly on the top center that navigates the song and when you want to load the song youve selected, you usually press that navigator inside.
thanks I found that I can drag and drop also... just makes it stutter sometime so that is my issue now...
