It's very surreal seeing seeing a video about my old collection. This was a fun watch. Thanks again for the deal, Chase & Crew. It was cool to meet you all!
@Himathyyy Because I hate my job, and I want to break free of it, and the way to do that is to get myself out of my accumulated debt, the amount I made from this sale was 28 weeks worth of debt payments all at once. Time I don't plan on wasting on the other side.
When the PS2 launched, average dvd players were still $300-$500. The PS2 was an incredible value at $299 and was the best selling dvd player in the year 2000. Other factors definitely influenced the GameCube’s poor sales but the lack of a dvd player was likely the primary reason.
It was an incredible console as well and was as the original nes was during it’s life span, other consoles got some of the third party games but everything was on ps2.
My favorite GameCube memory is spending hours upon hours playing Animal Crossing. Rainy days were the best for fishing. My other favorite memory is working with my husband across our combined 4 copies of Ruby and Sapphire to make a living Pokedex on our Box memory card. I checked on it recently and all my little Mons are still intact on the memory card.
I remember you saying something to chase maybe you guys just even playing some different games having a tournament that’d be a super cool video !🔥 @brotherdave4996
My Favorite Gamecube Games You should check out: Eternal Darkness: Sanity’s Requiem , Freedom Fighters , Star Fox Adventures , Viewtiful Joe , and ..... Wave Race . The Star Wars Rogue Squadron III: Rebel Strike Preview Disc is a promotional disc packed with game movies and two games to try out on the Gamecube. You only got this on the First Batch, if You ordered a Japanese Gamecube + Star Wars: Rogue Squadron II Rogue Leader.
I bought it last week for $54. It's addicting and fun. The writing is hilarious as well. Harry will probably be the best for a character. My complaint is that you kinda mash the buttons and wing it. But yeah, fun.
Prince of Persia and Lord Of The Rings were a couple of my favorites from the gamecube. I had a ps2 for the majority of that era though and I agree with Chase... the ps2 being a DVD player was how I survive my childhood being in my room without cable
My favorite GameCube game was Spiderman 2. Swing around the city brought me so much joy seeing as I loved the movies. Also loved the super monkey ball. The atv off road fury games and Mario striker game. GameCube was such a good time
GameCube came out during my college years and I took it to every dorm party. We did LAN Mario Kart with the Broadband Adapter, and even did Pacman VS by linking a GCN to a Gameboy player and having Pacman get his own TV lol. Did midnight releases for games like Wind Waker. It will always be my favorite console.
Animal crossing GameCube is what got me into collecting GameCube games recently. One of my favorite games is a weird one but its ATV2 Quad racing. I love that one.
They did the smaller discs because they were worried about pirating. The ps2 sold well because it was able to play dvds. Developers had a harder time supporting the GameCube due to the smaller disc limitations and the ps2 sold more since buying one made more sense to consumers since it could also play dvds.
Speaking of Zelda, Soul Calibur 2 features Link as a guest character. I actually receieved the 4 game Zelda promotional disc, as a free bonus for renewing my Nintendo Power Magazine subscription.
It's got to be StarFox Adventures for me on Gamecube, I always love seeing it in the wild and in collection. It's one of the first games I own alongside Luigi's Mansion and Super Mario Sunshine, however I grew much more fondly too StarFox Adventures. Sure, it's the black sheep of the StarFox series, but I've grown accepted of what it became
"Hunter the reckoning" at 11:10 was one of my favorite games growing up. I I totally forgot that I played that so much as a kid. I recommend playing that one at least 2 players, definitely a game that still goes under the radar. I believe it's for the PS2 also.
I'm just starting my GameCube collection so far I have Madagascar, Chicken Little, Madden 2003, Tony Hawk Underground, my all-time favorite game being Jimmy Neutron Attack of The Twonkies, looney tunes back in action, SpongeBob The Movie, and Star Wars 2 the original saga. I need to get Mario Sunshine tho because I loved it as a kid also.
Big reason i love the gamecube is actually because my aunt was a big collector of the games for it. Each time myself and my sister would visit we would play Mario Party 7 together. Then me and my uncle would grind some of the zeldas the next day as well. Now i have my own Gamecube collection that i plan on sharing with my kids, Nieces/nephews.
Chibi Robo is one of the best games I have ever played, and I hate that Nintendo hasn’t shown the series any love. Give me a Chibi Robo collection please!!!!
mario party 7 , mario sunshine , sonic adventure 1&2 , mario kart , paper mario , and smash bros are my childhood 🔥 honorable mentions : mario golf , ultimate spiderman , luigi mansion , and sonic riders!
Metroid Prime 2 Echos gotta be my personal favorite out of all the GC games I've played growing up. Played that game the most and grinded the bosses with my family. I'm pretty sure we completed the game a couple of times 💀. I still have the OG game thankfully and I'm glad it's still in great condition
Hoo boy, what a video! The GameCube was my very first console (my first foray into gaming was the GBA). I still remember walking into Sam’s Club with my mom to get my Platinum GameCube which came in a big blister package instead of a box for some reason. My first games were Mario Kart Double Dash and Paper Mario TTYD. Definitely recommend Paper Mario and Chibi Robo! And I’ve played both Zatch Bell games on GameCube. Mamodo Battles was vaguely like Tekken or Soul Calibur (2d fights in a 3d ring) while Mamodo Fury was more of an arena fighter like DBZ BT3. Both were pretty fun, but I imagine people being lost/confused if they never saw the anime.
Im a newer GameCube collector. My main games are Animal crossing, Mario kart double dash, Luigi's mansion, and super Mario Sunshine. What are some other must have games I should focus on getting?
Favorite games on GameCube Ty the Tasmanian tiger games, Batman rise of sin tzu, Spider-Man 1-2, need for speed pursuit, Luigi’s mansion and Mario party 7
GameCube was more powerful than the PS2, only thing that held it back was the 1.5GB limit discs. I feel if they went the DVD route, it could’ve matched the PS2’s success.
I recommend completing Chibi-Robo. Obviously you can't skip Luigi's Mansion, Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, and Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance either. For me the microphone worked on Odama. I'm still sad that Cubivore didn't came out in Europe, but at the time we got Doshin The Giant instead.
this comment will prob never be seen as this video is 8 months old. i have never seen one of your vids before, it just popped up in my feed randomly and decided to click on it to see if there was any good info for me. i just started collecting after i tried to buy back some old games from when my dad pawned all my shit when i was in the army. figured i got big boy money so i want all the games i never had as a kid. my heart jumped out of my damn chest when i saw that mt. dew xbox at 42:50. i had one of those. i bought a refurbished xbox from games stop and when i took it home inside the box was that exact mt edition. i completely forgot about that thing, guess i got to put it on my bucket list. wish i still had it, there is a reason why i dont talk to my "father" anymore. glad i watched the video till the end just for thoes few seconds.
I was born in 95 my first new gen console as a kid was the GameCube. I will never forget all the great memories especially with Metroid Prime, Sonic Adventure 2 Battle (Chao world I put countless hours into 😭), Pokémon Stadium, and Animal Crossing. The part that made it even better was the GameBoy Advance adapter and the actual GameBoy port you could buy for the bottom, I'm glad I got to enjoy the early 2000s.
I was given a GameCube as gift and I didn’t really think of it at the time but I only had 2 games ever on it Luigis mansion and Mortal Kombat Deception
Mario Party 4 we would play 50 turns Bowser board while drinking before nights out at uni 2008-2012. Loved that you could be terrible and really far behind but a late fortune space you could switch stars with the leader. Great mini games and many a great time had!
Thanks for the fantastic deep dive I remember renting/owning a lot of these games as a kid! My favorite games on the GameCube are Pokémon colosseum/XD (colosseum has a better story but XD’s mechanics are much better/fleshed out) and am actually replaying XD right now :). I loved Mario sunshine as a kid as well as sonic (can’t remember the name off the top of mind.) Skylar just a heads you can’t move Pokémon from gameboy just advance and forward. I have personally moved Pokémon from colosseum/XD to gba to ds to bank to home lol. I think that’s the furthest a Pokémon can travel. Thanks for sharing your collection Cameron! God bless all involved!!!
My favorite GameCube game always will be Scooby Doo Night of 100 Frights and a close second is LOTR Return of the King. I played those so much growing up
The reason they made the discs so small is because they saw a winning marketing strategy in Japan with the console’s design and the discs look. The problem is that if you want 3rd party games programmers don’t want that, they either want a full size disc or a cartridge.
I got my copy of Fire Emblem PoR at a game convention. There was a big gamecube retailer and he had a bunch of cubes set up. One of em had PoR. Made it through three chapters and knew I had to have it. 35 bucks, which was my entire allowance for a month back in the day. Mom garage sold all my gamecube 64 stuff for pennies on the dollar when I was away at college. I hope my copies made it to collectors.
This video seemed to hit a bit different today, LOADS of info and background which I loved Really enjoyed all the bits from the rest of the crew, everyone on point! (Would 100% watch a Gaming w Brother Dave series)
I've been dying to buy an old console either a 64 or the GameCube. But when I saw teenage mutant ninja turtles Mutant Melee. Million memories came back such a great fighting game would love to own that title one day.
Skies Of Acadia is by far my favorite game not just on the GameCube but my favorite game ever I’ve easily put in more than 1000hrs on the game just from grinding and staying up late even on school nights playing 😭
Very much enjoyed watching! Small note, though - the GameCube was actually more powerful than the PS2 and about as powerful as the Xbox. That's why many PS2 ports are graphically inferior to their Xbox and GameCube counterparts. :)
The game of my childhood when I bought my Gamecube was Tak and the Power of JuJu was by far my favorite, plus both Pokemon of course, and the most underrated game Scorpion King Rise of the Akadian was a really cool game!!
Great video but at 33:12 you say the Cube didn't have the capability to compete with PS2 on graphics which is odd considering the Cube had more horsepower. Gamecube ports typically have better graphics or performance than PS2. Storage size was the Cube's limitation which sometimes affected texture quality but geometry/lighting/framerate generally goes to Cube over PS2.
One of my favorite games on the GameCube is amazing island. It’s similar to Mario party where the game involves a bunch of mini games and they let you fully customize your creature you use. It’s a sleeper that barely anyone talks about but is worth anyone playing including kids
I have never played a video game in my entire life and I am 59 years. 6 years ago me and my brother moved together, he plays 24/7 I can't just understand it. The time and effort and MONEY he had put into his gaming didn't lead to anything more than his satisfaction for the moment. During that time I have learned 5 langugages fluently, except for the 3 Nordic languages I have free. Now I speak 8 languages and have landed my all-time dream jobb and 18000 dollars per montth in salary. All my brother have is a mountain of plastic boxes with some stupid games inside. And no money, no wife and no child. Good luck brother!
You do you, there was literally no point to your post except to belittle gaming and you gloat about your life. I will say, good for you and it sounds like you are living your best life. You’re not a gamer and that’s ok. I wouldn’t be assuming all gamers are poor and unsuccessful. You get the whole spectrum like any industry. Many gamers are very successful, just as well as some who are not and live with their parents. I game a lot, happily married with 4 kids, and I make well over 6 figures. The key with any hobby is to not let it take over your life. Take care of business and personal relationships first, then time for hobbies. Sounds like maybe your bother prioritized gaming over taking care of his life maybe, and I can only wish him the best in finding a good balance.
If you all havent played PSO, you should make characters and kill some bosses! fond memories of local coop on that game. It hasn't aged the best, but still good fun to clear the content
F-Zero GX was my absolute favorite. One game you skipped over was Ikaruga. A really great and original concept shmup which has releases on more modern systems now but at the time it was a rarity.
The GameCube is the 1st console I bought myself when I was in college before that nes snes n64 Genesis cd 32x Saturn Dreamcast ps1 and ps2 my father bought for me near release and I told him I preordered GameCube and he was like good he missed it and had to preorder the original Xbox instead. 😂 GameCube was where I got into resident evil and that's my favorite game franchise of all time now.
The DVD player may have helped, but it wasn't the reason I got one back then. Excluding the Nintendo exclusives, PS2 just had better games that played better with better graphics at the time. Battlefront II, Shadow of the Colossus, God of War, Metal Gear, etc.
My favorite was need for speed underground 2 I had a lot of fun playing with my cousin he passed away in car accident I miss him I wanna buy that game and GameCube console rip Tbone
Insane guys, congrats! I hope that someday I'll complete my own GC collection. Man, I remember playing Chibi-Robo at my friend's house back in the day.
I think you may have missed the Pokemon Coliseum Pre-Order version. It had the Bonus Disc built into the original case which made it a dual disc. I found one at a yard sale once.
Chibi-Robo is still my favorite most nostalgic GC game from when I was a kid. You are definitely right the story is great and I definitely did not expect it as a kid, I just thought it was a funny game about being a robot that cleaned a house for a family. There are so many cool secrets and interesting things to find. While I love things like the original Animal Crossing, Melee, all the mario parties/sports, and Zeldas, they just don't make things like Chibi-Robo anymore unless you play Indie pc games.
It's very surreal seeing seeing a video about my old collection. This was a fun watch. Thanks again for the deal, Chase & Crew. It was cool to meet you all!
Great games I hope you got a good deal out of it!
The man himself
Why did you let it go ? This is incredible
how much did you sell it for?
@Himathyyy Because I hate my job, and I want to break free of it, and the way to do that is to get myself out of my accumulated debt, the amount I made from this sale was 28 weeks worth of debt payments all at once. Time I don't plan on wasting on the other side.

You guys should make a series where you stream playing a bunch of your guys favorite games together !!! 15:50
That would be very fun!!
I remember you saying something to chase maybe you guys just even playing some different games having a tournament that’d be a super cool video !🔥 @brotherdave4996
second this
Hopefully someday we will do that!!
Eternal Darkness was my favorite gamecube game. So much fun trying to get through that game.
My favorite off the wall gamecube game will always be Custom Robo. such a fun time.
SUCH an unheard of game, i absolutely loved this game
I bought it last week for $54. It's addicting and fun. The writing is hilarious as well. Harry will probably be the best for a character. My complaint is that you kinda mash the buttons and wing it. But yeah, fun.
Prince of Persia and Lord Of The Rings were a couple of my favorites from the gamecube. I had a ps2 for the majority of that era though and I agree with Chase... the ps2 being a DVD player was how I survive my childhood being in my room without cable
Oh man I loved Zatch Bell Mamodo Fury as a kid. Me and my friends played it all the time.
Need to make the Brother Dave series a reality!
That’s what I’m saying that’d be fun to watch
Zelda masters quest was my favorite for sure. I got the game with my gamecube as a kid. OG Xbox was Fable. PS2 was Final Fantasy X.
Animal crossing GameCube is what got me into collecting GameCube games recently. One of my favorite games is a weird one but its ATV2 Quad racing. I love that one.
Smugglers run was my favorite GameCube game! Mostly because I kicked ass at that game but also I just enjoyed the strait forward play through.
They did the smaller discs because they were worried about pirating. The ps2 sold well because it was able to play dvds. Developers had a harder time supporting the GameCube due to the smaller disc limitations and the ps2 sold more since buying one made more sense to consumers since it could also play dvds.
I remember playing Double Dash and Deadly Alliance for hours on end as a kid. Core memories for sure!
Speaking of Zelda, Soul Calibur 2 features Link as a guest character. I actually receieved the 4 game Zelda promotional disc, as a free bonus for renewing my Nintendo Power Magazine subscription.
GameCube is my favourite console. Metroid Prime was one of my favourite games to play on it.
Super fun and interesting video. I particularly liked all the tidbits of info on the games you chose to highlight. And 40% exclusives is bonkers.
40% is also a completely incorrect number. There’s only around 80 exclusive GameCube games
damn, i still can't get over the INSANE value of Pokemon Box. that shit goes for a lot ngl
Resident evil 4 was my favorite on GameCube played that game for hours, my nephew loved playing GameCube
Zoids Battle legends will always have a special place in my heart
I remember playing RE 4 and Teen Titans with my kids, also enjoyed connecting the Gameboy Advance for Zelda action. Fun consoke
Oops, fun console good times
"Hunter the reckoning" at 11:10 was one of my favorite games growing up. I I totally forgot that I played that so much as a kid. I recommend playing that one at least 2 players, definitely a game that still goes under the radar. I believe it's for the PS2 also.
Love that game I never finished tho
I'm just starting my GameCube collection so far I have Madagascar, Chicken Little, Madden 2003, Tony Hawk Underground, my all-time favorite game being Jimmy Neutron Attack of The Twonkies, looney tunes back in action, SpongeBob The Movie, and Star Wars 2 the original saga. I need to get Mario Sunshine tho because I loved it as a kid also.
Gamin’ with Brother Dave!!! 🎉🎉🎉
in my opinion gamecube, Wii U, and switch have the best game selection of any game consoles from Nintendo
18:40 casually passing lost kingdoms 1 and 2. cryyyyying that they don't knowwwwww how GOOD THAT WASSS
Chibi Robo is one of the best games I have ever played, and I hate that Nintendo hasn’t shown the series any love. Give me a Chibi Robo collection please!!!!
mario party 7 , mario sunshine , sonic adventure 1&2 , mario kart , paper mario , and smash bros are my childhood 🔥 honorable mentions : mario golf , ultimate spiderman , luigi mansion , and sonic riders!

mario superstar baseball is a top baseball game of all time
It's so good!
Great video as always! love when you add the short clips of gameplay while talking about a game
Yes it makes it sooo much better
Gaming with Brother Dave
Favorite games on GameCube Ty the Tasmanian tiger games, Batman rise of sin tzu, Spider-Man 1-2, need for speed pursuit, Luigi’s mansion and Mario party 7
1. Luigi's Mansion, 2. Starwars Rogue Squadron, 3. Resident Evil 0 through 4, 4. Eternal Darkness, 5. Metal Gear Solid Twin Snakes, 6. Freedom Fighters, 7. Star Fox Adventure 8. 007 Nightfire, 9. Spiderman 2 10. Mortal Kombat
GameCube was more powerful than the PS2, only thing that held it back was the 1.5GB limit discs. I feel if they went the DVD route, it could’ve matched the PS2’s success.
Super Monkey Ball was so elite. I loved playing those games, so much.
Super Monkey Ball is the best!!!
Turok and the intro in that game gave me goosebumps
Bro, thank you for your content. It’s bringing back so many great memories.
P.S. That Men In Black game is the best I had it on PS2!!!
That was insanely clean, all those cases and games in near mint.
Mario Party 4 we would play 50 turns Bowser board while drinking before nights out at uni 2008-2012. Loved that you could be terrible and really far behind but a late fortune space you could switch stars with the leader. Great mini games and many a great time had!
I just picked up Super Mario Sunshine!!! My first GameCube game for myself and I’m excited, ordered a remote online to play it on Wii!
Thanks for the fantastic deep dive I remember renting/owning a lot of these games as a kid! My favorite games on the GameCube are Pokémon colosseum/XD (colosseum has a better story but XD’s mechanics are much better/fleshed out) and am actually replaying XD right now :). I loved Mario sunshine as a kid as well as sonic (can’t remember the name off the top of mind.)
Skylar just a heads you can’t move Pokémon from gameboy just advance and forward.
Mom garage sold all my gamecube
64 stuff for pennies on the dollar when I was away at college.
I hope my copies made it to collectors.
Discs were smaller to combat piracy.
Now we have xeno gc so if we wanted to use burned discs we can ezpz
Which made no one want to program for it, the number of cross platform 3rd party games is like 3.
Viewtiful Joe.
I fell in love with that game, and I replay it once or twice a year on my Gamecube.
Al-Pal just trying to work in the background. 🤣
mario baseball is a game of culture
The best Game cube game hands down is Tales of symphonia, Behind that is TLOZ: Windwaker, and close behind that is TLOZ: Twilight princess.
This video seemed to hit a bit different today, LOADS of info and background which I loved
Really enjoyed all the bits from the rest of the crew, everyone on point!
(Would 100% watch a Gaming w Brother Dave series)
I totally forgot about backyard baseball. That brought back tons of nostalgia for me!
GameCube is very nostalgic to old and new fans like myself, my favorites GameCube games would be the SpongeBob movie game and Super Mario Sunshine
I've been dying to buy an old console either a 64 or the GameCube. But when I saw teenage mutant ninja turtles Mutant Melee. Million memories came back such a great fighting game would love to own that title one day.
the promotional 4 game Zelda was something you got in club nintendo as a subscriber in Sweden
Skies Of Acadia is by far my favorite game not just on the GameCube but my favorite game ever I’ve easily put in more than 1000hrs on the game just from grinding and staying up late even on school nights playing 😭
Why? I am considering buying it.
The "Tak" games are surprisingly good especially the first one.
Gaming with brother Dave!!!

Dude the Title says it all! This is phenomenal!
Gaming with brother Dave 🤘🏼🎮🕹️
Love my cube because I suck as a gamer and love my action replay. A shotgun, infinite ammo and never die playing any Resident Evil...I;m in heaven.
10:17 I discovered naruto from clash of ninja 2, both naruto and gamecube changed my life 🥹🖤🧡
I just love videos like this, there fun, there fun to watch.
8:10 Fun Fact. Zach Bell the 4 season tv show(really good) can only be purchased in the Microsoft store it is not offered anywhere else
One of my favorite games on the GameCube is amazing island. It’s similar to Mario party where the game involves a bunch of mini games and they let you fully customize your creature you use. It’s a sleeper that barely anyone talks about but is worth anyone playing including kids
Amazing Island is a very fun game and it's so true that not many people talk about it!!! It's nice to find another fan!!
Outlaw golf is hysterical with all of the taunts
I have never played a video game in my entire life and I am 59 years. 6 years ago me and my brother moved together, he plays 24/7 I can't just understand it. The time and effort and MONEY he had put into his gaming didn't lead to anything more than his satisfaction for the moment. During that time I have learned 5 langugages fluently, except for the 3 Nordic languages I have free.
My favorite GameCube game is Skies of Arcadia Legends
I believe in Brother Dave
F-Zero GX was my absolute favorite. One game you skipped over was Ikaruga. A really great and original concept shmup which has releases on more modern systems now but at the time it was a rarity.
Nice! I’m slowly building my GC collection but don’t come across many unless I travel to a bigger city.
HIT AND RUN IS THE BEST GAMECUBE EVER!
You guys inspire me! Albeit to just watch your channel more, I'll never be to this level and that's ok! Love the longer videos.
Pikmin and turok are the classics for me
I remember counting the days until Cubivore came out. Got it on day one and its always been my favorite gamecube game.
The DVD player may have helped, but it wasn't the reason I got one back then. Excluding the Nintendo exclusives, PS2 just had better games that played better with better graphics at the time. Battlefront II, Shadow of the Colossus, God of War, Metal Gear, etc.
I will admit that I’m with you too, GameCube will always be my favourite console out of all of them.
Such a fun video! My favorite game is probably Mario Baseball. All the great memories my buddies and I made on this game are unforgettable
Oh...Sony Wega... What an incredible television!!
Yeah it's a solid game....I love my complete copy
