    Great review! I myself have gotten into sandbag training in the last year. I have two of these rogue bags; the 200 lb one like this, and the even bigger 300 lb one, and they are incredible tools. Very well made and great to train with.

    I used a piece of card board to make a funnel to help hold it open as I filled it

    Thanks for the review, you've helped me realize that the 200 is definitely a little large for my needs. I'll be checking out your channel in the future!

      Thanks for the message, its amazing how much a simple message from you guys can motivate someone! Thank you for that :-)
      The 200lb. is no joke I'm benching around 325, and squatting near 400 and I really can't use the 200lb. bag at this point, but the 150lb. is perfect and really functional it works muscles you wouldn't normally hit performing traditional moves like the dead, squat, etc. I think you'll really like it. GG

      The Snatch Box do you do bear hug squat and how is it for hitting the quads?

    They say it won't initially hold all the sand, fill it and throw it around a few times, it will stretch out a little, and pack the sand in it

    I prefer Ironmind tough-as-nails sandbag. They're indestructable, I have loaded one up over 300 pounds and beat the hell out of it.

    Great review I purchased a sandbag 100 lbs to start out with, it’s not a Rogue bag like yours, but I also was interested in Strongman lifts I also saw that cool firefighter tattoo on your left arm, thank you for your service im a full time firefighter also in Tennessee and I thought that sandbag lifting would be a good functional training that would compliment the job we do. Be safe take care 🚒👍

      Hi Rogue, I definitely will! So far the bag is awesome, I'm using the 150lb. in sets of 3, reps of 10, with drops off my shoulder onto my rubber mat. The performance is perfect no leakage at all and very well made construction thanks so much for another great product. GG

  • @amen_ra6926

    How did it hold up? Did you have to take a little sand out so there was room and the zipper didn't rupture? It looked a little tight.
    .
    Living so close to the beach out here on the left coast, we have no shortage of sand. It's just a mater of either filling it at the beach and schlepping it to the gym or truck buckets from the beach and filling it at the gym. Either way, some lugging will be happening.

    Thanks, I'm 198lbs. I think the 150lb works best for me right now, the 200 is a bear but planning on working up to that.

      good to know. i'm 155lb and have homemade 125lb, 150lb and 190lb sandbags. i was considering the 200lb strongman bag since it's tightly packed.. how long did it take you to fill up all the sand?

    • @kp19341
      @kp19341 8 років тому +1

      i may have to start with the 100lb bag..

      thanks - i just bought a 250 lb bag and filled it up with 135 lb. i'm handling it well but i think there's just not enough sand inside which makes it hard to pick up off the ground. Will fill up to 170-180 and take it for a spin.

  • @todd7302

    Did you use duck tape to help seal it if you only put in 150lbs? How did you get the bag to remain tight for that weight (150lbs) when it was meant for 200lbs?
    I want to order this bag but I’m worried that if I can’t lift it I won’t be able to add less weight without the bag maintaining a proper sandbag feel.
    Thanks!

    • @krane15
      @krane15 4 роки тому

      It can't. It has to be full for that, or offer some way to tie it down to the sand inside. The bag looks full to me, but its probably rated to hold materials more dense than sand.

    Great review and looks like a great product. Now if I can just catch it when it isn't on back order. Think I'll stick with what I was thinking of going with originally in the 100/150# bags. Thanks for taking the time to review it!

    Awesome review. But to be honest, I couldn't help but be distracted by your garage gym. It looks pretty awesome and have so much equipment I would want in my garage gym sometime in the future.Definitely hoping to see a garage gym tour video! Keep at it.

    Im thinking about getting one of these for the PT program im putting together for a fire science program at a local college. What kind of exercises could we incorporate with this bag. I'm currently a student working towards getting into a station (hopefully by summer ill be hired on as a salaried firefighter) Keep up the good work on your videos. That maltese cross inspired me today to hit the gym extra hard!

    Great review! Definitely makes me realize I should go with the 150lb. How long is your forearm?

    • @thesnatchbox1118
      @thesnatchbox1118  8 років тому +4

      Thanks, my forearm is 16". I'm 200lbs and I'm using the 150lb bag for reps usually 10 at a time, not easy at all trying to work my way up to the 200lb bag but it's a big difference. Let me know how you make out!

    Anybody ever try the Ironmind sandbags? They retail for $50-60. I'm curious to know if the quality is as good and if you can just fill it w/sand vs use the inner bags inside the larger bag.

  • @marreropablo7410
    @marreropablo7410 7 років тому +1

    thats too small of an area for such a large weight. the challenges of a sandbag are the instability of the weight inside sloshing around and using your grip strength to grip the fuck out of the folds in the bag when you manhandle it.
    what you got there is more like a strongman stone than a sandbag.

    Dude if you add any more equipment to your home gym you're going to be exercising in your driveway. Anyway, you have to pick it up and drop it a few times so the sand settles and compacts --7/10. No squat demo, so I had to take 2 points off.
