Wow. Looking back on this video I can’t believe how much I have grown in the past couple of years. The 150lb sandbag is so much easier than when I first lifted this bag. I am lifting a 200lb bag now and will be getting a 250lb bag soon.
@@charliebaker1427 that is awesome. The 150 was my first time since then I have progressed to about 250 after that it really starts getting heavy. But depending on what less you do with the sandbag will depend on how heavy it is for you.
I use a digital scale that displays the weight for a few seconds after the weight has been removed. This allows me to be exact when filling bags. I got into sandbag training after being confronted with a 150lb sandbag at my first Tactical Games that I was absolutely not prepared for. I've since made sure to never be surprised by a sandbag again. I'm 53 and currently working with 100 and 150lb bags weekly. Got a few of my own videos to check out.
@@The10thManRules Thst is awesome. I am also 53 and have loved incorporating sandbag training and event training. Keep up the good work. I have started training with a 200lb bag. Send me a link for me if your videos.
Nice hoists!. I have a smaller 50lb(with straps) I use for cleans and front squats when I cant run to gym. Eventually I would like to move up to these for carries.

💪 good stuff brother
@@lphillips6204 thanks.
Dang my gym only has 150 and up, did some picks with it, the 176 and the 220 today. Didnt realize it was considered heavy for sandbag work 😅

why didn't you just weigh the bags separately and then add them up?
That would have probably been a genius idea but I was so excited to lift I didn’t think that through LOL. 😂
My wife always says: everybody knows it better. One right away the other one after the fact. (It sounds better in german😅)

Build up to 100lb. You can do a lot with them. Get Your Fit On!!!!
@@rishiramkissoon6976 they are fun. I recently got a 200 lb bag that I trained with for my last Strongman comp a month ago.
Most scales stop at 300. I know people who need one scale per foot, then add up the 2 weights.
Thanks. I found an industrial scale on Amazon that goes up to 600 lbs so I have thought about buying one of those. Get Your Fit On.

Thanks I have been working hard.

51 year old dads don’t say what up ? Three times?
That's a logic fallacy because he said what he said.
How are you doing with your own 150lb sandbag?
@@dennismartin3312 Now that I am 53 and with the weights that I can lift you can say anything you want.
