Found this video perfect timing. Just bought mine today. So excited after watching this. I`m glad it looks like it`s high quality to throw around and toss. Rogue seems to make amazing products.
I just received my Ironmind strongman sandbag yesterday and filled it up to 150lbs. The bag is capable of holding 300lbs, so it should help aid in progressive overload. I opted for the Ironmind brand for that reason. The bag was a little less expensive than Rogue, but s/h was a little expensive. I will at some point be purchasing the rogue bags so I can have set weights. I think a 150lb, 200lb, and 250lb would be ideal. Regardless of what bag you use, 150lbs is a beast. When I do the over the shoulder exercise, I like to lap the sandbag and then explode up and toss the bag over. Keep progressing.
Hey man I've been considering buying one of these but I'm concerned about its durability especially when dropping it or tossing it. Have you noticed the seams getting weaker or even bursting yet?
Absolutely! Its just not going to be as full or as firm but definitely doable. What i would suggest is maybe using a mixture of Crumb Rubber and sand which Rogue also sells. This will allow you to reach your desired weight and fill up completely. It's an option.

definitely going to try that last one.

I was also thinking of getting the ironmind sandbag at first but ended up going with Rogue instead.
You got me with that Flair elbow drop
Haha
Got the same bag. Should be here by weekend. Will give these a shot. Gonna try using beach sand. Great vid.
Oh awesome. I need to start using it again. Thanks for the feedback.

Thanks!
You bet!
Thanks for the video mate! Just a quick one, what did you use to fill it up?
Thank you. I used a cup. It takes a little longer but at least I don't have to spend twice as long cleaning the floor afterwards.
Nice review & good workout. Any pics of your gym?

No dust (pulverizing) from the play sand after all the use?
barely anything.
Just filled my 150 lb bag (alomost filled 90-110 lbs) and it’s a killer just to fill it 😂🤦🏻♂️
Cant wait to start working with it
That’s great! Start low and increase as you feel comfortable with the weight.

Not at all. I’d say rogue has one of the best construction on the market.
Had to give it a like for the jojo meme! Thinking of buying an amazon "shogun" 150lb sandbag for my quarantine gym
Thanks!! Lol 😂
Do you think you can get 150 lb bag but filling up to 100 at the beginning and work the way up to 150?
Absolutely! Its just not going to be as full or as firm but definitely doable. What i would suggest is maybe using a mixture of Crumb Rubber and sand which Rogue also sells. This will allow you to reach your desired weight and fill up completely. It's an option.
Should i put sand or dirt inside, or whats better
It all depends on what your goal weight is. Dirt I don't think will weight as much as sand.
Is this bag still intact after two years?
Yes, like new.
I got the 150 bag but I might only fill to 115 or so. Will it still be good?
I am sure it will still be good. It will just be a little deflated but at least it allows you to gradually work towards 150.
The 150lb sandbag humbled me lol
haha lol dude
haha
