On my 2nd run, I went out hard and managed to do a PB 10KM sub 50, super chuffed. Normally after running quick I would have soleus or Achilles pain, i experienced none of that afterwards. It does make a hell of a sound when hitting the ground and It's not the lightest running shoe around BUT it is very very comfortable... Now to get the sub 45, probably another 6 months :)

I absolutelly do not agree. Tempo Next% is more a shoe for most people, is always on sale, and is a lot more resilient and you can get more miles out of it than the all zoomX on the heel foam Alphafly. And it is wider and more stable in the arch. Alphafly is only a shoe to run fast in, and the all zoomX heel sinks in and you feel super weird in them if you're not running fast. Tempo does not have that feeling. Tempo is the shoe for most people. You can control it better, and is a lot more durable.
I got both pairs I just brought the Alphafly to use for a half marathon tomorrow but been told never run in brand new trainers for a long run so I will have to use my tempo for my half marathon
Alphafly I will never get if not going to Stockx? Are they selling only real ones? I guess Tempo fits narrow? thought I like firm shoes better than soft cushioned.
@@kzyah5484 It's more that the arch of the Alphafly puts noticeable pressure on the arch of my (and others) foot. After a couple miles, that pain point becomes more and more noticeable. One of the staffers at the run shop said this is due to the full ZoomX cushion allowing significant compression of the foam heel, which results in your arch pressing against the shoe more easily. The same effect is not present with the Next% as it is only a partial ZoomX cushion and resists some of the compression. This makes sense and I am running without issue now in the Next%, fwiw.
How would you compare the Tempo Next % to the Zoom Fly 3? Would that be an upgrade worth the money, or would you sugges keeping the zoom fly 3? Both as daily trainers?
Is there any downside to using the alphafly for your daily shoe apart from money/needing to replace it often? Eg. Is the alphafly optimizing for performance/speed at the cost of comfort/injury prevention?

I'm worried that with the flyknit upper material it will cost injury & etc. Trying the shoe at the shop would be convenient, unfortunately at my place we are not bless with variety of latest nike model, so sizing tips for me is essential for online purchases🙏🏻
@@azzizanzainal4029 i see. i tried UK size 9 for both Zoom Fly 3 and Tempo Next% at the shop, tempo next% fits quite nicely but the zoom fly 3 was definitely a bit loose, i think it has something to do with the VaporWeave as it feels less flexible than the upper material on tempo next%. That's what the shop assistant told me as well & she suggested people usually needed to add that 0.5 for the tempo next%. Hope it helps & maybe those online shops have return policy etc. to let you try it out.

It should be noted that the Tempo has a stack height of 46 mm, rendering it illegal for competition use. I'm sure that will turn a lot of people off.
The rule only applies to elite runners. I've ran several races in the tempo with no issue.
Why would that turn "a lot of people" off? Since when are a lot of people running for prize or breaking world records.

Great breakdown. So in general, an older runner looking for more cushioning (aging body parts), the pricer l Alphafly would be better (softer “ride”)?

Which did you find more cushioned? The Tempo has a higher stack height, but the Alphafly has a more cushioned material (more ZoomX)...

I didn't enjoy the Zoom Fly 3. The narrow midfoot poked into my arch and the React felt dead so I much prefer the Tempo over the Zoom Fly.

to answer your question, tempos are more durable and are made to be trainers. My only concern while running in them is that they’re some what clunky.

No need to replace it often if you don't shuffle or drag your feet over the pavement.

Hi, may i know is it necessary to add up 0.5 from my normal size for nike tempo next %?
Personally i needed to add 0.5 for my tempo next%. Its tighter than the fly 3 for some reason, but it's always better to try it yourself at the shop.
