An ILLEGAL & OVERLOOKED RUNNING SHOE? - NIKE AIR ZOOM TEMPO NEXT% vs ALPHAFLY 2 - EDDBUD
I revisit a running shoe i first bought in October 2020! Yet it is still on sale in a variety of colours almost £30 more than when it launched? How many other running shoes are like this?
I examine the now NIKE TEMPO or NIKE AIR ZOOM TEMPO NEXT% and try and figure out what it is, and why are nike still selling it?!
I compare this aggressive shoe to the NIKE AIR ZOOM ALPHAFLY NEXT% 2 in an attempt to distinguish why the ALPHAFLY is £100 more at retail than this shoe.
I go over the upper, midsole, outsole and full stats of these AIR ZOOM enabled shoes.
If you have tried these shoes please let me know your thoughts down in the comments.
Hold tight people, stay strong and we WILL make it through.
Keep it nice in the comments please, i do not do unpleasant, its just ..... unpleasant. See you in the digital ones and zeros......

I've ABSOLUTELY loved this shoe for years now and I'll have a pair in my active rotation for as long as Nike makes it! As I'm a predominant heel striker and that React heel provides a really nice response especially in the latter miles of a long run.
I’ve been waiting for a heel strikers view! You’ve convinced me to try and snag a pair!
@@chriscummings9387 Me too!
Just picked up a highly discounted version and still love it. When I’m injured (as I am now, slowly recovering) it is a confidence-building option to beef up those road miles! Also works weirdly well on snow.
Great shoe with a quite wild feel. It’s very aggressive
Thanks for helping keep this shoe relevant! My all-time fav trainer. Not sure what I'll do if they stop making them!
There’s a new one coming. It doesn’t look hopeful though!
This is why your your content is best Edd. Bravo for highlighting the Tempo. It may not be the newest or most hyped, but damn it can hold its own. They’ve also got some absolute banger color ways usually. I’ve got 3 pairs and it can rival top end super shoes. My 10K PB is still in the tempos and could likely rival my half PB if I pushed it on that as well 👟 🔥
Always thinking of new content. Something to spark discussion or thought rather than new shoe after shoe. 👍🏼👊
Hey, cats and Bud. Thanks for the great content. I really like the production value recently, especially on shoe reviews. It's fun to see you running in it and thanks for showing some beautiful scenery of your country. 🏃💪
Glad you like them!
I’m always happy whenever you make a video of Nike tempo next %. I would like to see more videos of Nike Tempo vs. current year carbon/nylon shoes. It’s interesting to see this 2020 model shoe beats most current shoes out there.
Will maybe dig these out again for old time sake
Edd! Thanks for upping this shoe. Felt a bit off posting my 2 cents on a 2 year old review video a week ago, when the shoe is still available in the shop. Now your peeps can get fresher info. And a bonus on the last shaddow puppet Miles was something i missed on my radar. Thanks again!
Listening to miles Kane as I write this
Thanks for reviewing again my favorite up tempo running shoes ever. For me, Tempo Next is a masterpiece, dedicated to marathoners in their fast training. They are very fast and forgiving at the same time. Tempo and Alphafly v1 (v2 didnt win me) in my view match up perfecty in a marathon block (one for training and other for racing). Three years after their release Tempo (Iam in the second pair) keeps on being my training partner. Congrats on the content!
Weird it doesn't receive the same reverie as other models
Glad to see you bring this shoe up after giving it a mention, eBay suggested it to me and the first thing I did was head for your review.
I jumped on this, partly as I got it like silly cheap and see it as a good first try of Nike.
I love the scalloped arch and pointed noise, looks kind of like an arrowhead designed to go fast, whilst to me the alphafly looks more like a big cruiser.
Plus the stiffer heel is to my eyes reminiscent of the puma fast-r which I've had some very fast runs in.
Can't wait to let rip on those trails for sure 👍
Love these shoes! I've had 7 so far and even wear one pair to work, I got 550 miles out of my first ones so plenty of life in them for the money. Thank you for another excellent video Ed and hope to see you next Sunday :)
Mark is seldom seen without his Tempo next%
Not forgotten by me, I absolutely love the Tempo's and I'm currently on my third pair. I find them good for 700+ miles. Every now and then Nike discount them by 40%, that's when I pounce.
I have a pair of Tempos in my shoe rotation. I do enjoy them for racing and tend to chose them over the Alphaflys for training. I usually wear the Alphas for half marathons.
Great shoe! But for racing, it's on the heavier side, so I think that's why you don't see it as much as other Nike models. I did race a HM in it, and it worked perfectly fine for me.
Mine have been pretty bullet proof, had them for over 2 years and recently started wearing them again. Always wondered if we’d ever see a V2
Excellent timing Edd! I watched this just before my long run workout today, wondering which shoe would be up for the task with some HM efforts sprinkled in. I feel the Endorphin Speed 3 lacks the punch for this pace, the Pro 3 gives me terrible hotspots after 24 km and I would take my Takumi Sen for 30 km… You reminded me of the Tempo Next% that I myself overlooked as well for at least a year and gave them a go. They did remarkably well! So thank you, I have a use case for them again: long runs with HM efforts or faster 😊
Its one of those shoes and items in general that lost out due to the pandemic
I LOVE the Tempo Next%, my first pair just rolled 500KM and still feel great, and I have another pair with a run in them waiting for when I retire my first pair. I have bought my pairs for $160CDN instead of the list price of $260CDN. I hoping they still have some available on Black Friday, cause I can see myself snagging 2 pairs!!!
Im on my 6th pair and still loving them. PB after pb and some serious miles completed. Love the new colourway with pink and orange 😊
Great to hear!
Great review. Loving the end of vid music recommendations too!
Glad you like them!
have run 3 marathons in the Nike Tempo-and they hold up very well on long runs at any pace and legs feel great afterwards. Very good shoe for any pace/distance-despite its not-so-comfortable upper.
What pace are your long runs at? I have heard a few comments that they don't feel great at slower paces and ideally should be used for sub 7:45min/mi or 4:50min/km paces which are too fast for my long runs.
@@dragonl4d216 “easy” around 8:45 and “tempo” at 7:45. Feel great at any pace-but the shoe definitely wants to push you to run faster-just a matter of getting used to what the shoe offers (air pods/zoomX/react foam)
@@dragonl4d216 I only run at around 4:30min/km and below and they are perfect for that. I even ran a Boston qualifying time with them. Slower than 4:50, the strides are probably too short and the air pod might propel the foot up rather than forward.
Had my pair 2 weeks on the back of this blog, absolutely love them, literally been using them every day along with my invincibles, main thing I noticed much less fatigue in the legs and lower HR when running in them, just bidding for another pair on eBay 😂
Yeah I have a mate who swears by these. Had multiple pairs of them
Yes! Thank you so much for making this video, I’m my humble opinion it’s the most underrated shoe of all time.
It improves the more you use it, works perfectly at MP, for sessions, steady runs, and even slow runs. The React heel foam and forefoot outsole give it a super-snappy feel underfoot.
Mine have all lasted 600+ miles too. Well worth the Earth Credits 👌
Totally agree! Really underrated and overlooked one
Tempo next % is my favorite “daily trainers” of all time. I have them in 7 different colorway pairs in rotation and I still have some stocked up in pristine condition in my closet. That’s how much I love them. Speed performance, fit, and comfort are all on point for me. I like a daily trainer shoe that pushes me to go faster than my comfortable pace.
I found it an awesome aggressive shoe. Really flys.
I got a pair on discount for $150 USD not long after they first came out. They seemed clunky at first, and the decoupled midsole with AirPods wasn’t really my thing (I had not run in AlphaFlys yet), but I stuck with them. They seemed to be one of those shoes where I would find myself running 20-30 seconds faster per mile than I intended. The upper was never comfortable, but they were still fun to run in. I ran them into the ground and retired them after a few hundred miles of good use.
I said all that to say I was pleasantly surprised by them. Maybe not enough to choose them over some current options, but enough to have fond memories.
I have found loads of people going back to these as the squashy stuff hasn’t worked out for them
I got this shoe for £90 from Nike outlet. I use it for tempo runs, intervals, any hard session. First shoe that showed me I can hit 5 min per k pace and be comfortable. Still have my metaspeed sky for race day, but I do love that shoe
Have the original black and white cw, slowly nearing 200miles. I have loved them from new, they have worked great for me.
It is a forgot or not talked about shoe. I see them a lot at 5k races near me.
Just did 5x1k repeats on them after a year of pounding them. Planning to get my third pair as they’re breaking. THEYRE SO GOOD. Fast, comfy, good fit. Love it
Hit the spot and very propulsive
I'm onto my third pair, with another stashed incase its discontinued. Love them. They suck a bit for anything much slower than 5ish minute kms though. I enjoy the Zoom fly 5 for a slower plated shoe, especially for long steady runs, or steady fartlek, but its really in no mans land, sandwiched between this and the invincible.
Love your work too btw, thank you, and keep it up 👊🏼
Glad you enjoy the channel David 👍🏼👊
I have both, the Tempo ended up being my go to everyday trainer, ended up deflating the airpods, loved it. The Alpha 2 has had minimal use, its very fast but I do find the footbed a little uncomfortable compared to V1.
A local lad Mark Burton loves his. Did hundreds of km doing daily pace running.
they just deflate? Right now I am running on a totally worn out pair of Tempo and the air pods are now touching the ground. I am worried they would blow up considering the amount of pressure in those pods and I am scared I could trip over.
Great shoe! I Like it more than AF2 which i sent back. I did a lot of moderate long runs in them last Winter, great traction and saves the legs. It’s pretty cool that it stays the same through the years i think, you know what you are gonna get. Makes sense with the heel stack too, always thought it looked about the same height.
I hear you on the AF issue. Such a tight arch on those
I never got on with the tempo and sent them back. They felt too firm and didn't feel like I was getting anything back from the foam. Has the nike narrow midfoot as well. Takumi sen does a similar job a lot better imo.
As you said there's still a few people wearing these at races I noticed.
Spot. On. I’m on pair #5 since they came out and I’m getting around 500 miles out of them before I retire them. They get the call on all long runs over 10 miles and I wear them on almost all tempo and steady state workouts. Yeah, they’re loud - kind of like you’re a Tyrannosaurus Rex stomping down the path, but they do quiet down after a while. Definitely an underrated model.
Good for crushing debris. They are tough a nails!
Nailed a surprising PB recently on the Tempo Next when I thought I was done and over with all that stuff. I have nothing but pure reverence for this shoe.
Glad it does the business Alex
It’s a good feeling shoe for my training. Would’ve bought more if not for the durability issue. The sole tear open where the zoompods are. Other than that, i was so happy with their upper. Works better for me than when i’m in my Alphafly 1
I saw this happen a few times.
I’m a big fan of the Tempos. They make me run faster than what I planned and have run PBs at 5k and 10k with them even though I have vaporfly and alphafly in my rotation. My first pair only lasted 400km before the outsole split just behind the AirPods. I’m hoping my second pair will last longer.
I love my Tempo Next! I can run with an insane low heart rate when I use them. Yes, they are a bit firm on the forefoot, but It is OK.
I couldn't train on the Alphafly because they cause me a pain in my foot arch, so I sent them back.
alphaflys are not meant for daily! They are for THE BEST races!
Agree with all your points. The firmer heel on the Tempo could be a good thing. It feels like the fastest shoe for me! I just wish it had a softer/thinner upper and a quieter/thinner forefoot outsole. If they did that, I'd make it my raceday shoe for sure. Currently the noise and outsole feel are just a bit distracting. Otherwise fantastic shoe!
Mine measures at 38mm heel stack in US10.5.
They are a loud old shoe!
Running on pair #3. First pair used till 600km. Got some issues with my legs at that moment. Ran almost 12 years now and ran last 1 1/2 year al my pr's on 10km, 15km, half and fulltime marathon on tempo's. As 52 year old what's more to tell..😊
Great shoe!! Luv it...i purchased a pair following a recommendation from you Ed...its a fast shoe!!
Glad it hits the spot.
This shoe has been my go to for years now. Have the alpha fly but much prefer the tempo. Hope Nike keep making them 😊. I’ve used it to do half marathons.
Let’s hope they do carry on the series. Great shoe
Another great review! What was the best run you have done in the tempo next compared to the alphafly? Thanks!
Preferred it for 10k efforts
I found it a bit heavy, but had to return them as I suffered from the common splitting issue at the rubber ‘joint’ just behind the AirPods. I’m a very light runner. They were certainly fast though!
Didn’t have any splitting though saw some air pods go on other peoples pairs.
Sales and reputation likely initially suffered due to high price at launch, due to it replacing the Peg Turbo (which everyone loved), and due to its odd look.
I agree with you though Ed and still run with the Tempos. It's an absolutely excellent shoe. The nylon plate and midsole work far better for me than the Alphafly, which I don't like at all.
They certainly look weird. Though so did the first vaporfly next%. People thought that was a fake when it leaked!
I love the firmness of the Adios 6 heel, fastest shoe I have. Hate the softness of the Vaporfly heel. Did you mention Tempo next being similar to Adios 6 in ride in earlier review? Tempo next is quite expensive in Norway now. I really think I should reconsider whats the best racing shoe for me.
They have a similar vibes for sure. A little more firm and responsive
I don't know how they keep selling them. Mine and also a few mates pairs were sent back with holes in the outsole. Seems to be a very common problem! Great to run in though!
The Alphafly 3 looks a lot like the Tempo Next. I just hope the outsole doesn’t tear behind the airpods. However i think with the carbon plate will make it more sturdy.
Yes there’s some tempo next% dna in there for sure
It's a superb shoe, I loved every single mile I did in them, the only gripe I have with them is bursting zoom pod during a time trial. But alphafly is also in the same category. If I have to pick a zoompod shoe it will be tempo for sure. Maybe an updated upper will do more justice to tempo. Cheers
Maybe they can protect the pods a bit in a v2? Thanks for watching
Hey Ed, how do you measure the heel to toe drop in shoes??
Love that you keep it real brother. Respect.
Get something in the heel flush with the top of the arch. Measure that, then use the measuring gear to figure out the height.
I’m on I think my 5th pair? One of my favorites and I run a lot on my forefoot. I hope Nike doesn’t mess with the structure but continues to produce em.
If it works. No need to break it
I've had a total durability disaster on the Tempo's on at least 3 pairs. Nike's warranty service has been impeccable and replaced every time within their 2 year period. I am a toe/midfoot striker (heel never gets any wear), I weigh 65-70Kg and the air pods have been punctured each time, and in the last pair the black sole split under the air pods too virtually the full width. Anyway, I'm now giving the Zoom Fly 5's a blast which seem good so far, and I fear that my Alpha's could also have a similar fate to the Tempos once I've done a few more miles in them 🤨
Interesting. I’ve seen it happen early on, but not recently. Glad they replaced them
i really like this TEMPO NEXT% given the discount price. However, my first pair was returned to Nike due to the outsole tear after 3 runs (it seems a common defects across the world). I may give it a try again in Sept
Maybe they improved the rubber or something over time as I haven’t seen so many issues of late
I have 4 pairs, my favorite shoe, thats why they keep selling it, nothing beats it ;) more seriously, I have over 40 pairs of various brands and if what you like running fast, this is the shoe. Its not great for winter (temp below 0c) and its loud and yes its not a conventional shoe but aside from that, it breathes well, its very bouncy/responsive/propulsive when used with the right stride and super comfy ;)
My first Nike shoe and my all-time fav!! Glad i found it's purpose ❤
It’s a great model. I wonder if they will do a v2?
@@EDDBUD I wouldn't change a thing, I love the AF2 too(unpopular opinion I know) but if they make a decent upgrade, why not?!
I bought my Tempo Next % in 2021, and they are my all-time favourite super shoe. I'm yet to find anything that gives me as much spring and speed as this shoe does. It's at the bottom of my shoe rotation just because of the age of them, but I always go back to them when I feel like I need some assistance with a speed session.
Bought mine out of retirement! 👍🏼
@BOGDAN SERBAN I'm no expert, but I would say that you still get the same health benefits from running in these shoes. It just feels easier.
You are still using your heart and lungs to run, it's not like the shoes have motors in them.
They say that super shoes have less impact on your body, which is why it probably feels easier.
I really like the Tempo Next%. I bought it after I tried the Endorphin Speed, which didn't work out for me at all. On the contrary, I found the Tempo comfortable and extremely fast from day 1. It's my go-to shoe for tempo runs (no kidding...) and long intervals, and I'll probably get another pair when this one will be done (if that day comes 🙂)
On the other hand, I wouldn't run a marathon in the Tempo: they're just too aggressive for me. But I have seen quite a few people running marathons in them (and oddly mostly women).
Interesting. The endorphin speed too soft? Tempo is probably a half marathon shoe for me. To aggressive as you say for the marathon!
@@EDDBUD Regarding the Endorphin Speed, I think the plate placement didn't agree at all with my biomechanics: I didn't feel any "help" from the shoe, it didn't make me run faster at the same effort than a standard run-of-the-mill daily trainer (whereas the Zoom Fly or even the Pegasus Turbo made me go faster) and it even ended up causing a sharp pain in my forefoot (I had to stop my workout). I barely reached 50 miles before selling them.
As a senior in high school when the tempo next % was coming out in 2020 I was excited to buy it, but the bad review of the shoe and my disappointment of the pegasus 37. Is why I didn't pick it up and got the brooks hyperion tempo instead.
Been meaning to try these. I’ve been making do with some slightly too-small Alphafly 1s for marathons which is KILLING my toes 😂. These seem like a bit of a sleeper or maybe they just get confused with the alpha by civilians? The lineup was always slightly confusing to non-runners.
Yeah the arch on the AF is also a killer
For the competition, it will be good if the new Adidas Adizero Boston 12 is a consumer success, so Nike will release their next Tempo Next% shoes !
I'm not sure why a huge brand like Nike can't release a new update for their legacy shoes every year ! Every brand does that with most of their running shoes !
I bought my yellow Tempo's year ago on sale for 110€. End up using it more than Vaporfly2 and Alphafly1. Like 10mm drop & soft zoomx, outsole is great but horse galop loud 😁 airpods are to far in the back they should be 5mm moved to front. Like Tempo because it pushes you to run faster. React in the back pushes you to forefoot run, optimal constructed technology.
Yes the drop is optimal.
Excellent shoe. I qualified for Boston in those three years ago and they are my daily run shoes, racing in Alphafly so very similar feel except for the carbon plate. I do absolutely zero rotation, Tempo everyday and it has been close to 3 or 4 years I think, so I must have gone through 5 pairs all bought on sale and unfortunately.... they now seem to be discontinued in Canada and other countries, I couldn't even find them at a Nike factory store!!!!! 😞
I am guessing they were too technical for mainstream runners and probably got too many returns.
I have no idea what I will be able to use now.... they were soo dynamic and responsive and I also found they were great for recovery runs for some reason. So sad....... I guess it is time to see if I can find a similar shoe in other brands....
One of the most overlooked shoes ever. Glad they worked so well for you
Ed,
I just saw a video about a second version of the tempo next percent that nike is releasing sometime in the next yearr.Have you heard anything about the second version?
Covered in todays video
The Tempo has always tempted me, if ones comes available at a good price I might have to pick it up!
Celebrated Global Running Day with a new 5K PB, 16:57 😵💫Went through the 3K in around 10 minutes then had to really battle for sub 17. The Golden Lotus is closed for redecoration, you might be best going for a ruby.
There was a very scared cat running away from the restaurant. 👍🏼🤣
@@EDDBUD 🤣🤣🤣
I fell in love with the Tempo Next % the moment I slipped into it. My only complain is that it’s v loud when it makes contact with the ground. My pair is falling apart. Hope Nike releases a v2 with improved outsole!
It’s certainly high on the decibels.
The loudness is a good thing. Pedestrians no more standing in my way when they hear me running 😅
@@hoernchenmeister It has been a while since I strapped the shoe on but all this talk made me take it out for my run today. Oh my - RUN I did! And yes a couple of folks at the park made way for me when I was approaching! ;)
Hmm. I always thought it was an athleisure shoe. At the Nike Clearance store here near San Francisco in 'Merkuh, they are about $60. Although, that's where I bought alphafly for $90.
This shoe is indistructable mine have done well over 1k , and through the washing machine 3 times and there still good on trails & road
Another satisfied customer!
They still sell it because they have become popular among the sneakerheads. It´s actually more expensive now than it was 2 years ago. Back then you could often find it at a discount. Now it´s a huge seller as a casual shoe.
A causal shoe? I cant imagine wearing it for that!
Favorite shoe for sure, super underrated imo. Does anyone knows how does it compare to the new Adidas Boston 12? I know nike is discontinuing this shoe so i am looking for an alternative of newer production shoes that can replace the tempos.
By all accounts the 12 is not quite the departure from the 10 or 11.
The Nike Tempo is a strange one. I have several friends who really love it, but I picked up a pair for about 90 GBP last year and ended up selling them after just a few weeks. They had the strange effect of getting me to run faster than expected and faster than my effort indicated, but while feeling like absolute crap. I intended them to be a pair for faster long runs (30k at MP), but they were too heavy, clunky and firm for that - I much prefer the NovaBlast 1 or 3 for that.
Running has to be fun at the end of the day 👍🏼👊
This the most underrated show in all of Nikes line up! I have them and got them for about $90 usd with discounts. I’ve ran my personal best 10k with it and legs felt super fresh. I personally believe that it’s better than the alphafly just because of light and bouncy it is.
Will we ever see a v2?!
@@EDDBUD only if it’ll be better than this one! If not, they can keep it 😂
Fit question.. I was TTS into Alphafly V1 but went down half a size in the Alphafly V2.. Alphafly V2 seems huge compared to V1. How is the fit of the Tempo?
I found the tempo about true to size. No need to go up or down
Great shoes the tempos. Noisy as hell on the first few runs though, got mine for £80 is sales. Got to be crazy to pay full price.
They soften up a bit after time
Been my tempo/intervals shoe for a couple of years now. On my 3rd pair
May grab myself another pair for a full on re review. 🤣👍🏼
@@EDDBUD Have been able to find them on a very decent discount quite often if you don’t need the newest colour-way 👏🏼
Such an awesome shoe. I've bought 5 pairs. Three have passed 500km without much wear.
That’s a good endorsement right there
I’ve had my eye on this shoe for awhile but couldn’t justify the $200 price tag. It recently dropped down to $127, so i immediately pulled the trigger on it. So we’ll see how it performs.
Yes its worth maybe 120 or 130 pounds. Great shoe but overpriced at retail
I love the tempo next % have 4 pairs kept picking them up for £98 from Keller sports unfortunately Keller isn’t s no long 😭
Yes they are long gone!
One of my favourite training shoes! Durable and fast!
Yes it’s a great overlooked model
That shoe is my go-to for hill repeats. Nice pop on toeoff going uphill and soaks up the huge impacts for bombing downhill. Otherwise I hate it.
I have a couple of fitness exam coming up in October. I have to do a 300 meter sprint and a 1.5 mile. Do you recommend doing this in the alpha fly or or tempo?
The alpha is a bit quicker. But for shorter distances less bulk is better
@@EDDBUD Thank you, the zoom tempo came in the mail today. Gonna test them out during the upcoming week and compare the two.
Great shoe! I have two fresh pairs in my closet and am always on the lookout for a deal.
Stocking up on that one. I wonder if there will ever be a v2?
I should have done the same while they were available.... If only I had known they would discontinue it...
What is the arch fit like? Had to send my alphaflys back as the high arches gave me blisters.
Not as punishing as the AF
Agreed the forgotten option!
These protect my legs better than Invincible. Only reason I don't wear them all the time is because I always run faster in them. I'm a heavier runner at 190 lbs, and older, but once broken in I found the comfort outstanding. The noise is great - people can always hear me approaching.
Invincible is too squashy for pace for me at least
@@EDDBUD I'm quite a bit slower than you!
I only paid about £75 for my tempos. They're great for that kind of money but glad i didnt pay full whack. I love the upper but they just feel super clunky to me underfoot. Dont know if its just all that rubber on the outsole.
Very much a pacy shoe for me, also one i want the headphones for :)
Just bought my 2nd pair! First pair lasted 300-400 miles geez👏🏼
Glad they are lasting the test of time
Edd, what about a VF3 vs AF2 video?
Have i not done one of those?!
@EDDBUD I don't think so. As the VF3 is so new.
Nike Alphafly 2 is $370 aud, about £199! Such a big difference Edd.
Ouch! Another big price inflation
The Tempo is a little easier to get on the foot. Even after 40 miles the Alpha as just as difficult to put on as day one. And if are in the middle of a run and a pebble gets in rhe alpha and no show horn you can be up the creek. Tempo upper is a lite more accommodating.Ben Parkes claims 600 K for the one pair of the Tempo. Good comparison.
I find the alpha and tempo about the same. Certainly easier to get on foot!
i love tempo next but nike should come out with new variation!
Yea a v2 would be most welcome
I adored the Tempos. Unfortunately, my pods kept popping.
Tempo all the way, the alpha is just so uncomfortable. Tempo is a fab shoe. Oh update on Marathon. Ran Edinburgh in the metaspeed sky plus after issues with Nikes. No issues, was great when hit the wall at the end. I'm like many going off some of the nikes , tempo love. Metaspeed love. Other Nike super shoes, not so keen on anymore.
The arch isn’t as present in the tempo. I had to place in other insoles into the alphafly over time.
Think I got to this video too early. The HD version isn't even available for me yet lol
Give it time
It’s a good shoe had to send them back they split underneath. Such a fun shoe
Yeah a I saw a few initially had that issue. But less of it these days
Bought those on sale for 29.99 at a Nike outlet
I have a pair, and they are the only ones i have outside of my Nimbus shoes.
I'm on the fence if i should go for a new pair of these, or try the Nimbus 25, anybody want to give a tip?
The Nimbus is a more dense shoe to the tempo. It's an aggressive beast, have to say they do propel you at pace. Though my friend Mark Burton loves them for any speed really. He has gone through pair after pair!
Great shoe. Had two pairs. Genuinely think it is nearly as fast as the alphafly and vaporfly
Yes it’s maybe even better an option for some people
100%. I've done almost 200 parkruns and did my second fastest time in these. Have done with alphas and vaporflys too.
How does it compare to the others brands?
Nothing else quite like it!
Think nike dropped the "next %" part for the current Alphafly and Vaporfly
Yeah it’s weird they did that. They do some odd things
I’ve fancied this shoe but heard bad things about the AirPod breaking
Only seen it once or twice
Just a health warning. If you are sadly a heavier runner with wide feet then the Tempo Next % feel like running in high heels, wake the dead with their noise and may well knacker your ankles. Probably if you aren’t you’ll be fine!
did they discontinue it? :( ??
There’s a v2 coming. But delayed by the looks
Nice & a fantastic shoe 🙂
