I always soak brown rice overnight. It cooks in like 15 min that way.

I added oriental 5 spice & a 1/2 tspn of hoisin sauce with the tamari (hint maybe you could create a well your world hoisin sauce? Just sayin’) this gave it a real Asian flavor

Thanks for showcasing your microwave as a cooking tool. I use mine all the time and love the convenience. One of my favorite things in the microwave is spaghetti squash. Poke some holes in it and microwave on high 12-16 minutes depending on size. (Flip over halfway) Easy Peasy! 😊
I've been using only the microwave (and pressure cooker) to cook my meals since I moved into my new place. I'm so pleasantly surprised to see some finally with recipes on the microwave! Thank you~

Made both of these dishes and they came out really well. I’ld love to see more concoctions like these.
I even made my own salsa to go with it. It guessed at the ingredients and that came out great too
my 2 go to fast microwave meals are 1) microwave steam a giant basket of california veggie mix, take it out, microwave a can of beans (after removing them from the can), them stir them together, add some nooch, pepper,.2) quick oats with low sodium better than boullion (havent tried your spice mix because of shipping to canada).

I feel like I've had a revelation. I haven't been buying that frozen rice recently because I thought it tasted a little like plastic. And then you took it out of the plastic and put it in a bowl to microwave. *Lightbulb* It wouldn't taste like plastic if you didn't cook it in the plastic...... I guess I'll have to go get some now and give these recipes a try!

Just shows that you can batch prep plain ingredients and then add your spices, mix and then warm up. Although I dont use a microwave, I would warm it up in my airfryer which has a warm/bake programme 😊
I just microwaved some lotus foods brown rice for my dinner. I made a salad and sautéed some tofu and added roasted cauliflower. Microwavable brown rice is definitely a time saver 😊

Hey man, really glad to have found your channel and wish I found it years ago. I am vegan but am planning on dramatically cutting down on my salt and oil intake. I have a question about the Swedish meatballs. If I were to add homemade salt free mashed potatoes into the mix, would there be another ingredient you would suggest that I add to ensure really good flavour even though it is an SOS recipe?
Thanks for joining us. Try it out by adding what you like and avoid what you don’t. If it works, great. If it doesn’t work, then try something different next time. I haven’t done what you’re asking so I don’t know.

Nut butters and oils are just about the same insofar as fat load. They both induce lipemia as well as the other. So BE CAREFUL. There's this mythos that nut butters are somehow less oily than oil. This is not based in reality. Nut butter _is_ oil, with fiber and other nutrients dispersed through it, and the health effects are almost indistinguishable from oil. Personally and professionally, I've gotten it completely out of my diet, and my clients' diets. WHOLE nuts are entirely different, and nothing like oils. If ever I'm adding nuts to a recipe, I'll chop them, or maybe coarsely grind them, but never process them into nut butter. I think nut butters cause heart disease just as easily as oil does.
I like the Japanese fried rice at Trader Joe’s & I made my own version of it- minus the oil. Your video inspired me to experiment… I’m looking for things my daughter can make in a microwave, because she will be off to college in the near future. 🫶
