Totally agree. I think with hikes like this with lots of other people doing it too it’s good to mix it up and hit some camp sites too. Not only so you can freshen up, but it’s the key time to meet other people who are doing the hike too and make new friends and memories. Have to say that was one of the best things about this adventure as made some good new friends too.
Sounds good. I didn’t stop in Reeth I pushed thought but it’s a great place to stop it’s lovely. Theirs a nice bakery too so check that out. Best of luck
great campsite at Stonethwaite i stopped there also i was just pitching up on red pike as you were there lovely little climb up greenup edge in the morning😂😂
Haha true! I didn’t film it but I met Iain packing up the tent, he recognised me from the Group. Then literally just past Robin Hoods Chair I heard someone shouting for help no joke. It was Mark! He’s gone the wrong way and had to climb up the front with his massive bag 😂. That’s how I met them both.
I had the A-Z Coast to Coast book which is really hard to get hold of at the moment. From that I manually plotted the whole route on OS Maps and transferred that to my Garmin 6X Pro watch. Basically I used the watch solely for the whole navigation and it was perfect. Took the A-Z too just in case.
Thats a beautiful place to camp Kris , even if its not wild camping
