I actually loved the "slower" cars in Most Wanted 2012. Cars like the MiTo QV, A1 Quattro, RS3 Sportback, 1M coupe, Fiesta ST and Focus RS500 were more fun to drive than the faster cars. They were way less crash-y and drifts lasted longer.
Yeah... i made my beetle look like bumblebee and it runs faster than half of my garage (which is all of the cars in the game except the deluxe ones since i don't have deluxe edition)
It's -more- fun to drive a -slow- car -fast than drive a fast car slow-. I think a video like this highlights the biggest issue with many modern racing/driving games. They're just about speed. Sure, it's sort of what you think when you say RACING game, but, cars can do more than that. You look at the latest NFS games here, those roads are just boring with a slow car. In GTA V, the handling was so arcade and easy, the whole map became boring, you could climb the biggest mountain with a little FWD compact car. Yesterday I was having a lot of fun in BeamNG in the Utah map, with that lore-friendly classic Willys Jeep mod, just a basic, original, late WW2 model, seeing how it could climb some decent little dirt hills. Also driving a Bluebuck pickup truck mod, looked like an El Camino, and it was just a higher end model, not even tuned or anything, but I was drifting it, UPHILL, easily.. it had good power but not much traction, but most importantly, the PHYSICS are good. And one doesn't need REALISTIC physics for them to be good. It's more about the feeling when you drive. NFS underground 1 and 2 had great driving, compared to more modern NFS titles, which feel more stilted and rigid. Most Wanted still felt great at speed, but trying to drive slow already showed some early signs of fake spectacle. Cars tend to get wheelspin no matter what, even if they have low power and you give little throttle, they still spin the wheels, slowly, like on ice, like it LITERALLY HAD ZERO TRACTION. Old Burnout games were very arcadey, but the physics felt consistent and well tweaked. FlatOut didn't feel too slow in the early races, because cars felt how they looked and you had to be careful of debris on the track. In BeamNG, roads are more detailed and usually more worn down, you can't just floor it through them easily with a hypercar. I played with the Dynamo car mod, the free demo version, only one base config for it, but you can change a few things. One can change the wheels and get better sports or race tires. Just that changed it SO MUCH.
Well ya, they're SUVs. That's kind of the point. Also, they're early 2000s SUVs, which are basically trucks, unlike SUVs today which are basically sports cars.
Darius will probably be quite hard, but not impossible. The rest of the opponents in the game are kind of pushovers, but Darius is so much faster than everyone else.
@@akakairiNah, the car sucks because of a physics error that makes it "bouncy". So no matter how well you tune it and put it the best parts possible, it will loose speed because its wheels clip wrongly. I've achieved much better records by fully tuning the Toyota Corolla (tofu car) than the GTO. Now, if you mod the game to fix the GTO it IS a beast and handles like a dream despite it being a muscle.
@@devlintaylor9520 As I said, despite being a muscle car and clipping issues, the GTO handles like a dream. While it isn't slow, speed challenge isn't a thing it shines on and I'd put it at mid tier (doesn't suck, isn't worth writing home about either). I have tried to make it work via tuning and King difficulty to no avail. There are just far better cars for its "specialty"
I find the slower cars and races early in all street racing games is much more fun then later in the game when you driving super cars or insanely tuned cars at 200 mph on the street in traffic which is impossible to do without crashing, in any game.
Stock 4th gen Supras are also incredibly rare due to how tunable the 2JZ engine is. What's funny is that the "more than you can afford pal, Ferrari" scene from the first Fast and Furious movie has since been flipped: some Supras are more expensive than the Ferrari F355 Spider from the movie.
i should take a look at prostreet again as the stock 240sx in speed challenge is SLOW, slower than the civic because the speed cap is lifted for sc events
From Underground 1 forward you can tune the cars to the max, it doesn't make sense place cars like Punto from MW 2005 as the slowest when the car it's awfully good maxed out and with Junkman.
The Hot Pursuit 2010 one couldnt be more wrong, both cars shown are meta cars along with the 911 turbo as the fastest ones... The slowest car is the Evo X and the charger as a cop. 6:30
@darkdream861 you could argue thatbut the boxster still mantains a relative high top speed of around 270 without nitrous, the evo X racer can barely reach 250 on a plain road without nitrous, and even with nitrous its overdrive gear rapidly deplets all its speed once out of the boost. So I consider it worse overall.
Fiat Punto is the best car for early game before getting access for nitros because it has good acceleration and better handling, in fact i finished the game only using this car. But yeah this car run like snail

This video's pretty much wrong with NFS Porsche Unleashed with the actual slowest vehicle being Porsche 356 1100 Cabriolet. Not only that there's a wrong car listed in there (Porsche 356 A 1600), but also the car shown in that clip (for sure it is a 356 Cabriolet) can't be a 356 1100 as it can't achieve 170 kmph even when fully upgraded.
The Payback one is incorrect; the C10, at launch, was one of the five cars you could go on treasure hunts for, and were the cars that could be upgraded from 0-400 performance, with only the highest end cars reaching this level naturally, like the Koenigsegg. An update did make it that every car could reach this limit, but the C10 would be one of the few that could from the start. Without upgrades, yeah, it's slow as fuck, but putting it there as the slowest implies the lowest performance possible anything, which would knock out a few cars from the older games, since some shitty cars in the older games would be faster than most others once upgraded (which is where the Golf GTI being fast comes from)
Yeah he should have specified "Slowest stock" Again tho, some of the games will have to be removed as they don't have upgrades, and World will be a nightmare to do probably
