I tried to connect it for like 100x times and it never worked
    But then I did this:
    1) Turned off my 5GHz wifi (you can do it in the admin settings of your router)
    2) Switched the Temperature Settings from C to F (like in this video 01:05)
    3) Deleted the App and installed it again
    4) Pressed the wifi / up Button till it started to blink faster
    5) Connected it and it worked
This steps could help you too, so you should try it, if you have problems like i had :)
    And thanks for the Video

Awesome tutorial and setup guide! I just purchased my InkBird ITC-308 WiFi for homebrewing. I recently started kegging my beer but my Kegerator for some reason seems to work like a freezer and gets too cold! So I'm hoping this will solve that issue! For the heat mat, do you wrap your fermenter/keg with it, or do you set the heat mat on the bottom/floor of the fridge/kegerator? I had the same question for the probe, do you tape it to the middle/side of your fermenter or keg or on the middle/side of your Fridge/kegerator?

Can you set both functions to one plug? I have a unique situation: a climate battery in a greenhouse. We just use one fan, both to pump warm air underground when it's too hot, and then to pump the air through the ground to warm the greenhouse at night. So we need to operate 1 unit, at two different temperatures. For example, between 14C and 25c it's off, above 25c it runs, and below 14c it runs. Can this unit do this?

How did you arrive at the 3 minute timing for the compressor setting?

    • @psmola101
      @psmola101 4 роки тому

Its a pretty standard setting - its the time typically required by any compressor based appliance for the head pressure to be reduced. If trying to start compressor any sooner than that, the motor may not start due to the high pressure head. Its built into many, if not most cooling appliances such as refrigerators, freezers, etc. I keep mine set to 3 minutes - just in case.

I've just got two of these, both set to 19, and yet they both will heat until 19.5, and as soon as hey get to there hey cool back to 18.5. They go up and down constantly and are either heating or cooling non stop. Have you noticed this happening at all?

theres a setting, lowest you can go is .3 .. any lower than that even if you could would kill your fridge likely. If it didnt explain offset in this video it will in my other video on inkbird ITC-308 Cheers! go through the settings and change the .5 to .3 Cheers!

@@HomeBrewNetwork thanks for the reply. I have t set to .5 but it's going 1 degree over each way. Just seems weird that it will swing so wildly - I'm talking every 5 minutes it goes right up to 1 degree over, and down again within 5 minutes. Might contact the company.

@@DeneMcDonald where have you got the sensor?

@@HomeBrewNetwork tapped to the side of the FV and insulated with a towel. I was thinking I've never had an issue before, but in reality I've never had the ability to check so who knows. It's not an issue for the fermentation as you can't change 23 litres within a 5 minute swing, it's just using heaps of power cycling up and down. Overnight I popped a fan in and it seems to be better which would indicate I haven't insulated the probe enough. Might get an old beer coozie and give it go. Thanks for your help.

I think they are, its up to you whether you want the wifi version or not, we survived years without the wifi one!

Damn, pretty annoyed I didnt buy this version. Does the unit hold the values set via wifi is the wifi disconnects?

To be honest I dont use it much, its kind of like everytime I nearly do use it, I want to go and check on the beer, make sure its where I want to be etc before the temp change.. Its good for when your away from home and you must have something in the fermenter. Cheers mate!

@@HomeBrewNetwork yeah it's not crucial but it would be handy having a better interface when switching from ferment temp to crash temp. The remote capability is definitely something I would use too. Ahh well, the standard one will do for now.

Oh bum - it's the IFTTT I want to find out about on these. It's a really simple thing where you can link devices and web things together and create applets on ifttt.com. I want to tamper. I'm a tamperer.
Do you know if you can set up scheduling via the app so you could ramp temperatures and stuff? Cheers, Gash.
EDIT: Inkbird - send me a bloody 308 wifi and I'll do wonders with it and knock up some mad IFTTT apps for it.

Mine has the wifi light off, then when you press the wifi button it blinks slowly or sometimes rapidly for a few seconds; but it never manages to pair. Absolute fucking garbage. Might as well not whack wifi onto something if you're going to do it this poorly.
