Hi - I think I have set mine up correctly however the unit indicates its always either heating or cooling, this is when I have set heat differential parameters. for example if I have the heat diff set for 5degrees higher or lower than 55 degrees, so between 50 degrees and 60 degrees the unit should neither be heating or cooling however both on the device and on the app at say 56 degrees it indicates its cooling and at 53 degrees its heating. is this normal? I would expect the unit to be off neither heating or cooling because its within the differential parameters? TIA
That is correct. If you have the heating diff. set to 5 then when the temp gets below 50 the heater will kick on. same for the cooling diff. when the temp gets above 60 the fridge (or whatever you have plugged into it) will kick on. Not sure why yours is kicking on at 3 degrees up or down..
Hi, Would you kindly answer this question please before I purchase an Inkbird ITC-308. I have a Klarstein Thermo electric humidor to store my cigars. It is cooling only and does not have an heating element. The temp range for cooling is 12 to 18 degrees centigrade, that is the only settings on its digital thermostat. I need it to not start cooling until the internal temp reaches 21c. I have a small heat pad in there to get the temp up to 21c but have to have the humidor unplugged otherwise the cooling kicks in and takes it back to 18c. My question is will your Inkbird product override the internal thermostat of my humidor and not allow the cooling fans to kick in unless the temp exceeds 21c. Will the unit still work and kick in when the temp exceeds 21c even though it was set at the factory to only have an adjustment on its digital thermostat of 12 to 18c. I can say that the digital readout does show if for example I have deliberately allowed the unit to get to 25c by unplugging the unit and turning up the heat pad, then plugging the unit in and it shows the 25c on the readout and then the cooling kicks and takes it back to 18C. Very frustrating I just want a temp of 21c constant by leaving my heat pad on and the unit kicking in and cooling back to 21c when it exceeds this temp. Really hopeing your product can help and looking forward to your reply.
Great questions. For starters, this isn't my unit. I just use it. It will work for your application. You would basically keep the same set up you have currently. Plug the heating pad into the "heating" port and the humidor into the "cooling" port. The controller will then take over the functions. Set it to whatever temp you want and that's where it will stay.
i just set mine up this was really helpful. but the cooling and heating lights are off. is this normal? lol ? i plugged my heat mat into heating though. i want it at 80 for my pacman frog
The cooling and heating light should come on when the parameters that you set are triggered. So if you want the temp to be 80F and you have the heater difference set at 4degrees. Then when the temp drops down to 76f the heater should come on.

@@INKBIRD-official Ι have aquestion about refrigerator compressor delay. I use my temperature controller in a small beverage center and only use cooling at inkbird. I have target temperature 55°f and heating/cooling differential 2°f so 57°f until compressor go on again. Now i set the compressor delay for 3 minutes. Does that mean that the compressor will start working again in 3 minutes after i hit 57 or 3 minutes delay since it stoped at 55. When my controller reaches 55 stops .then it takes arround 8 minutes to reach 57 and then right away the compressor starts without 3 minutes delay. Also heating screen is turn on sometimes in the app while i m not using any heating source. I would love to get some clarification right here because i dont know if this is normal or something is wrong with the device. Thank you in advance.
@@evangelosmakris703 Hello, The PT compressor delay protection principle is: When the time interval between two refrigeration operation is larger than preset delay, the equipment will start refrigeration immediately; when the time interval between two refrigeration is less than preset delay, the equipment won't start refrigeration until preset delay is satisfied. For example PT=3. (Compressor Delay 3 mins) For the first time, when temperature reached TS+CD, it will turn on the cooling outlet, turn off at TS. It takes 1 min to reach TS+CD again, at this time, the cooling outlet will not turn on, it will wait 2 mins. So if you set PT=3, when it takes 8 minutes to reach 57 degrees from 55 degrees, then its delay time is reached and therefore at 57 degrees it will turn on the cooling output.
Hi So can u clarify if I have set to 65 with differential of say 5 degrees on either end.. it won't turn on til it hits either 60 or 70 right but then it will stay on to target temp. Is there any way to give target temperature a range? Thanks.
You are correct. In essence by setting the differentials you are giving the unit a range. so if you set the temp to 65f and you give it a 5 differential both ways. Your range become 60-70f. What this unit tries to do is provide an average. So in theory what you set it at will become the average of what the area will have..

@@evangelosmakris703 Hello,
The PT compressor delay protection principle is:
When the time interval between two refrigeration operation is larger than preset delay, the equipment will start refrigeration immediately; when the time interval between two refrigeration is less than preset delay, the equipment won't start refrigeration until preset delay is satisfied.
For example PT=3. (Compressor Delay 3 mins)
For the first time, when temperature reached TS+CD, it will turn on the cooling outlet, turn off at TS.

So can u clarify if I have set to 65 with differential of say 5 degrees on either end.. it won't turn on til it hits either 60 or 70 right but then it will stay on to target temp.
If the power goes out to this item does it save or lose the temperatures you set up?
It saves the settings
Is there any way to set a night and day cycle so temps will be within a different range at those times?
Dear, sorry that ITC-308-WIFI cannot achieve this function, we recommend you ITC-310T-B(NO WIFI). If have any problem, please feel free to contact our email support@inkbird.com
My freezer only cuts on when I plug it into the Heating port.
I don’t get it.
Hello,
first I want to say that I am a big fan of youre show ( I think it is called show, or ??)
love your videos about the starter cultures, but I have a question, I got a frozen bag of Starterculture BactoFlavor BFL-T03.
All I can find on the net, is that it is simular to TSPX, although the flavour side of it.
I want to use it, but don't know if I have to follow the same Ph en Temperatures as you tell about in that video
do you know how to use that starterculture ?? it would be very helpfull.
thanks and keep on the good work.
greetings from Holland
Thank you! Check out this link and go to page 3 (I think). Your range is 65F-85F with 85% humidity for 36-72 hours till your pH hits 5.0-5.2. Use it exactly as T-SPX.

It's page 30. You can read about the type of bacteria. Then on page 20 you can see what each one of the bacteria likes :)
How do I turn off the alarm from the app?
What happens in a power outage? Does it reset to the entered values?
yes.
The probes themselves are water proof, just not past the metal tip.
Thanks for the tip. I usually wrap mine in a plastic (sous vide) bag when I submerge it.
Hi , Can i control it from outside for example feom another town ? Or it must be at same wife in home ?
This can be controlled anywhere you go.
I use mine wherever I am in the UK.
Yes I need this for my solomy that I'm growing🤥
no matter what i set my target heat to, it won’t go above 77. its so annoying. how do i fix that? it lets me set everything then after i do f or c and hit and hold set it just goes back to 77.
Dear, may I ask did you set it up by pressing the button? If you press and hold the set button to save and exit, it also won't save the target temperature setting? If have any problem, please feel free to contact our email support@inkbird.com
how do i setup a different Temperature for day and night in the app?
This unit can not do that. You would need the ITC608T
How much amperage from a heater can it handle?
Dear, please note that the power range of the ITC-308WIFI is: Max. 10A, 100V ~240V AC. If have any problem, please feel free to contact our email support@inkbird.com
Also good for aquariums
I can't get mine to change
How do we turn off temperature alarm?
Set the alarms to extreme temperatures 👍
@@biblical-events Thanks!!
Only 10AMPS folks. Don't burn your homes down and try to run high current devices. Certainly nothing like a HEATER OR REFRIGERATOR. I seriously doubt this think will last let alone not burst into flames if used with these. I would hope it's internally fused just incase stupid happens.
Basically i want temps 78 for 12hours and 70 for 12 hours
this device will not do that. you need the one that Auber has. It can be programmed to do step temperature
@@2guysandacooler the 306T aint it
How do you reset this device my phone inkbird Pro app doesn't recognize my device. Any help
I don't think you can reset it. Best option would be to uninstall the app, clear the app memory, reboot the phone, and reinstall the app. See if that works. Also are you using 2.4ghz wireless?
@@2guysandacooler Thanks I figured it out. And my house runs off 2.4ghz and 5 ghz or something like that my brother said so mine has both.
@@the6ixconstrictors424 Cool. What did you have to do to fix it?
@@2guysandacooler I deleted the inkbird app from my phone and then added the app back on my cell phone and it works now :)
