I'm doing a complete heavily modified restoration on my 94 trans am with a 383 stroker LT1 with a D1SC procharger.. I'm in the process of doing a complete makeover of the suspension. Everybody has different opinions on great performance suspension parts.. but I'm buying BMR suspension components from front to back and in between. All my suspension is going to be completely adjustable.. keep the shiny side up and be safe out there my friend 👍🇺🇲🤙...
Man I miss my Tans AM! I had a white 1996 that looked just like yours, but it had the LT1 not the LS. It was still crazy fast though as it had some work done. I traded it straight across for a 2007 GSXR 1000 back in 2011.
There are two ways to 2step ignition or fuel this one is ignition which is way more efficient the injectors dont turn off so youll never get a lean mixture and a by product is flames
What made me love the fact my first car was a trans am never got to get the LS but from the Lt1 and Lt4 then got a 455 big block and just recently went back to second gen camaro with a 415ci ls3 back in 2015 when i saw he ran the same setup i died laughing just that motor screams and i always get asked if im running an ls all the time. Great vid love the car

Burned a whole set of tires, it’s worth it though, knowing how to handle the car had saved my life many times especially in the rain. Ls1 SS and ws6’s use to be $4000 all day long so I beat the hell out of mine. I’ve had like 50 but prices are through the roof now. Can’t just tear one up like I use to.

The rev limiter can be modified with HPT, by using the disable/enable fuel cut tabs. Just change it so the enable is 1 rpm less than the disable.... You might already know this. Is there an advantage to doing it with the MSD for spark cut as well? I didn't see a point to go any further, but then again, I'm not smacking my rev limiter like a mad man.
I know this is an old post but I’d prefer to cut spark over fuel with boost. I’m running a SBE LS2 with a blower so I don’t want to risk leaning out with fuel cut. Spark plugs are cheap, rotating assemblies aren’t lol. 👍🏻
@@josephcottone9613i’ve had this happen many many years ago on a turbocharged 5.3L, which ended up backfiring through the intake and bending 5 connecting rods like bananas. I cant be certain if the tune was set to re-enable spark or fuel too quickly once it bounced the limiter. But I believe that’s what happened.
I didnt know you could use these as limiters, i thought it was only for a launch control, will be setting it up like this on my Mustang rather than clutch in “activated” and launching at 2500rpm
Inconel valves. They are a nickel-chromium-based superalloy that can handle a bit more abuse. It's kinda the same issue with when people get those excessive burble/backfire tunes. The constant backfires can cause issues with the exhaust valves and seats.

In order to set it up for launch control, I'm guessing you could wire it similarly (+12v from any key-on circuit), but use a push button momentary switch, instead of a toggle switch and set it for whatever launch rpm you wanted?

Good afternoon, Kenny. I had my 2000 trans am tuned and the rev set in mind to 6 as well. I do have a set of MSD coils on mine, with their piggy back coil harness witch they recommend. To give the coils their own 12 volt source. Since the piggy back harness plugs up like that MSD 2 step. Can still run that rev box, and benefit from that rev box? Once again kenny. GREAT TRANS AM. I have the same color.

I did everything possible to reduce wheel hop. Lower control arm relocation brackets, tubular lower control arms, Koni single adjustable shocks and Strano lowering springs, adjustable panhard bar. That’s the end result

Look into a Strano brake MC brace. Firms up the brake pedal a bit more and keeps the firewall from flexing.

yeah i mean using the MSD is only spark cutting so it likely will have the effect of fouling plugs eventually

The limiter doesn't harm anything. Spinning it higher than the valvetrain can handle is what causes damage.
