- Want some hair which goes higher than the heavens? Needing a bit of an 18th century updo but want to use items which aren't too hard to find? Then here is the tutorial for you.
Is this absolutely 100% historically accurate - no. I looked at hair styles from around that period, watched alot of BBC's Harlots, knew how my own hair behaved, looked what I had in my draws - and this was created.
Enjoy :)

I love this, and the "hairstyles" you wind up with before getting to the final style are seriously hilarious!
Couldn’t agree more!
Release the plaits is the best sentences
Hahaha thank you!
That's excellent, very helpful. I think it can work for longer hair, although it would be nice to see how exactly to deal with the ends.
I honestly pinned them just on the top down as nobody would be able to see them
Yas to PJ's!! Looks amazing and a great tutorial
Hahaha thanks mate!
Superb! I am glad you showed how to create the volume for thin straight hair. I do not have thin hair at all, but I do have straight hair. I always say I beat my hair into submission when it comes to my period styles. You look great!
Hahaha besting the hair into submission. I definitely feel that!
Thank you! I have really long straight hair, so styles like this are hard for me. But you did it easily!
Honestly, I think you could probably leave the plaits in overnight and pin it in the morning. Is the curl necessary, because I think I’d look a bit silly as my hair is quite long
Great video!
Completely up to you. There were definitely styles that didn’t have the curls
When your hairs probably to short and curly very curly 😂😂😂this gave me a really good idea though
Hahaha! Awesome
Me: "Plait...? Is that a specific type of braid...?"
Googles
Me: "Nope same thing...!"
I love learning new Aussie slang from your videos 😆
By the way how did it feel it have gravity defying hair??
Hahaha I’m glad that I’m able to teach you some Aussie :) see a braid to me is where you are collecting hair as you are plaiting it down. And as for gravity defying hair- it felt a little heavy after a while... though afterwards when I released it down and brushed it through, it felt so light and airy. So nice and thick.
can you do this with a wig
Yes :)
I think it works better for a lace front wig or even a hard front wig but you have to make a false hairline. Im definitely gonna do a full 18th century hairstyle, a towering 3 feet tall including the flowers and feathers and the hat on top because why not, for an 18th century Pink Diamond from Steven Universe and I will be doing this style with the help of a filler and extra wig wefts added for extra volume and thickness, especially since my wig is gonna be pink and not my natural hair color.
Can you make a tutorial on cinderella live action version
No. I have no interest in making that cosplay. Bella Mae would be better for you as she has done that
