'Big Bang Theory's' Kate Micucci Shares Lung Cancer Diagnosis

- Kate Micucci is giving fans a health update. "The Big Bang Theory" star took to TikTok to reveal that she has been diagnosed with lung cancer. "Hey everybody, this is not a TikTok, it's a 'Sick Tok.' I'm in the hospital but it's because I had lung cancer surgery yesterday. They caught it really early. It's really weird, because I've never smoked a cigarette in my life so uh, you know, it was a surprise," Kate said. "But also, I guess, also, it happens and so the greatest news is they caught it early, they got it out, I'm all good," she shared.

Kate is so much full of natural positivity, she will undoubtedly make a full recovery and inspire many people.
"Undoubtedly" is not how cancer works.
I have enjoyed Ms. Micucci's work (and that with her friend, Ms. Lindhome) for years. It makes me happy that her surgery went well. I hope she has good health in the future.
F*ck cancer. I’m glad she seems to be getting better! I’ve lost many to cancer and there’s nothing harder to have to deal with for months and years just not knowing. Hope she stays cancer free 🙏🏻
*Other people smoking isn't the only source of lung cancer. Car emissions, smoke stacks, all kinds of chemicals we breath in on the daily will trigger folks who are predisposed to cancer.*

I had the same surgery just this past november. same thing found it early and now I am fine, no cemo or anything.

I didn't watch her on Big Bang Theory, but I loved her on Scrubs! She seems like such a positive, upbeat soul. I hope she recovers quickly.

Kate Micucci is known for a lot more than her re-occurring character on Big Bang. "Garfunkle and Oats" she and Riki Lindhome's folk parody duo. Her many comedic appearances in movies and TV shows, as well as many voice acting roles, like Velma in a recent Scooby Doo series. I hope she has a full recovery very soon. She recently did a Guillermo del Toro's Cabinet of Curiosities episode. I find her entirely endearing.

I was diagnosed with lung cancer 6 months ago and I'd never smoked a day in my life. I had gone in for my last checkup from beating colon cancer when they found it. The lung cancer didn't come from my colon it was a cancer on its own. It's been the hardness 6 months of my life.

DAMN!!!! She's 15 years younger than me!!! I grew up in a house with a mother and 2 sisters who smoked like chimney's and I don't have lung cancer!!! How the hell can this shit happen?!?!?!?! At least it was caught early and she sounds like she'll make a full recovery. Hugs to her.

I have a stand up comedy friend, #DanielleWilliams here in Phoenix, who has been fighting this for 5 years. She has also never smoked in her life. And yet, she is probably the most positive person I've ever known.

@@negativeslim I looked into it and she actually was totally unvaccinated. She also used the weasel words “never smoke a cigarette” but was pretty much constantly smoking weed so that’s where the lung cancer came from.

She is very lucky. My dad wasn’t. The hospital and NHS f00ked about a LOT and took a long time to actually diagnose it.
