2021 and onwards (i guess): Qantas selected the A350-1000 for the Project Sunrise Flights. This aircraft will be used for long range flights with more room for economy seats.
2024 and onwards (i guess): Qantas ordered and has taken delivery of a couple of Airbus A220s to replace the ageing 717s and has ordered some A321XLRs to replace the 737s. They also ordered the 787-10 to expand their international network. They also ordered some ex-Spirit airlines A319s to expand the regional network mainly in Western Australia
Not even a mention of the DC-3 and DC4 fleet. The DC4's were used for the Norfolk Island service, plus crew training. When I started there in 1970, we had two DC3's, two DC4's and two HS125 Biz jets. All were used for crew training. The Avro 504K that was on display was on loan from the Australian War Museum and was a standard 504 with a rotary engine. It was modified to the K variant ,with a universal engine mount, for display. When the War Museum loan expired it was returned to it's original config and a new replica 504K was built in house by employees and was used for display and the series of QANTAS adverts. It was a non flying replica but 'accidently' lifted during the filming of one ad, due, I'm told, to an 'unexpected bump' in the runway.
@@theflyingkiwi3145 Qantas Link is not based in Perth, it’s Australia wide and Network Aviation is owned by Qantas and based in Perth. My goodness, did you make most of this up???? You’ve hardly got one fact correct in this entire video and you’ve got the gall to correct someone else????
@@Rocket-hb6jh saying it’s based in Perth doesn’t particularly mean it’s not based in other places around the country. I know I might have been unclear in the way I said it. There are SO MANY ERRORS in this it needs to be done again. Qantas started in 1920 with the Avro 504K, not 1927. Qantas never operated the Comet, it was a BOAC aircraft with BA crew and Qantas on one side only. Not the L-049 Constellation, Qantas operated the 740 and 1049G. The 707-138/B was retired in the 60s in favour of the 707-338C which was retired in 1979. Too many other basic and grossly incorrect dates, etc. that you need to at least do some research. This is the problem with people starting channels that know nothing about the subject and just pay lip service to facts. I learned nothing from this other than how little you know - brings all your others into question if you’ve shown the same ‘stone skipping across a pond’ attention to detail.
Ok, I’m sorry I know I have been making a lot of mistakes lately and this was one of my first videos. I still make lots of mistakes in my newer videos but I am being more cautious now when researching for them. I’m happy when people correct me tho so thanks for that anyway

Uhm the 787-9 came out in 2013 dunno why it says 2007 3:44
qantas didn't start service with the 787 til 2017/18
Exactly 😊
The 787 9 was introduced un 2014 with Air New Zealand
Yeah I know It was suppose to say 2015 not 2005 I probably did a typo
@@theflyingkiwi3145 oh ok
I like ur music

Can you do a updated one for qantas because you have made some mistakes like the 747 200 was retired in 2002 and you didn’t add the dc3 and dc4s
Nice Video
Btw I saw the Air Force one at the air port in 2018
The Qantas B747-338's were introduced between 1984 and 1987
VH-EBU 1984 - 2005
VH-EBT 1984 - 2007
VH-EBV 1985 - 2008
VH-EBX 1986 - 2008
VH-EBW 1986 - 2008
VH-EBY 1987 - 2008
Yeah I know. I made another typo
Legend says that that 1 DeHavilland Dh-50 is still in service
It was retired on 1942
Isn't 747 200 retired in 2003 ?
As an Australian i never knew some of this
I miss the 747😢😢😪
you made a mistake the first qantas a380 was on 2008
10/10
Mistake: A380 was introduced before the 787
I know when I was making the list I did a typo on the 787 so it’s in the wrong spot
You forgot the A220…
the constellation is the best
you misted the q 300 and q 400
Have we still never crashed?? Australia 🇦🇺
