Except the Turboprops which are in the subsidiary airlines "Air Nelson" and "Mt Cook Airlines" are now part of Air New Zealand because Air Nelson and Mt Cook Airlines were dissolved, so, the Q300 and ATR fleet are not part of a subsidiary airline and are now members of the mainstream Air New Zealand fleet
DC3's (Skyliners - big windows) , DC 3 crash in Kaimai Ranges early 60's , and Viscounts from the 50's and 60's and Beech 1900 as well as ATR 72 -500 and 600 and Q300 and 400's missing from list
The first one was a typo it was supposed to say -200 but it said -300. In the picture it’s clearly a Boeing 737-200 and when it retired it says 737-200
only it wasn't in ANZ livery it was in original NAC livery, I remember being at Wellington Air port when the very first 737 arrived back in 68. And the Vickers Viscounts were being retired.
As a plane nerd and rugby fan I am delighted to see Air New Zealand are all ALL BLACK NOW . Hopefully when this awful pandemic is over I can fly with you to see your beautiful country and enjoy your hospitality.
And the Metroliners from Air Nelson and Eagle air... p.s there were two "unofficial" liveries along with one "official" livery that you have missed... The first of the two "unofficial" one wasn't a big one TEAL and Air New Zealand. There was no bookends between TEAL and Air New Zealand.. More of a cross fade between TEAL and Air NZ when both titles were on the aircraft for a brief time particularly the very first DC8 which had been just painted before the TEAL was renamed Air NZ. The Air New Zealand rebrand around the mid 00's They simplified the Pacific wave livery and remove the teal and blue waves which were quite problematic from what I have heard, due to peelings off. Then the official one... The black tail 2010 There was a brief time between the Teal and blue and the Fern livery when Air NZ officially launched a new livery and their departure from the tried and true Teal and blue... The simple black tail livery which was an actual official livery which was a very brief and short live official livery before Air NZ then launched the fern livery within a year of the black tail announcement which featured on a handful of the older A320 aircraft along with many of the new A320s and ATRs that were delivered between the Black tail and Fern livery announcement. Also there was one of the Fokkers you showed and one 737-200 that had a white pinstripe between the teal and blue along with the various special liveries that Air NZ adorned for various promotions over the years with the infamous lord of the rings being an example
All of those aircraft prior to the late 70s have been Photoshopped. Because Air New Zealand didn't come into existance till the late 70s When the then State Airline "TEAL" Tasman Empire Air Lines, (the then international wing) merged with Mt Cook Airlines and "NAC" National Airways Corporation. And the name was changed to Air New Zealand with the Koru put on the tail.
Let me which airline you want next.
I want to see American Airlines
Qantas
Malaysia airlines
Jetstar
Very nice. I would like Air France, please.
I love the music but you missed the first livery ,and the beech 1900D
The A320 crash was not an Air New Zealand crash, that was XL airways performing tests on an A320 in the Air New Zealand livery
Just put it in because they lost a aircraft of the fleet
@@theflyingkiwi3145 I agree
I feel bad for the 7 fatalities of xl888t

Strange how New Zealand pilots were killed
No mention SAABs or beechcrafts, ATRs, Q400s
3:45 plane retired 767
Picture: 777 landing
Make a 2022 Update video for Air NZ
what about the q300s and the atr72s??
the 737-300 got introduced twice?
He did a typo
the first one was meant to be 737 200
Wheres the atr 72 and dash 8
So proud to live in nz where it is only because of the airline
The Turbo Probs are in a subsidiary of Air New Zealand thats why they aren’t in the video
The DC10 entered service with AirNZ in 1973 & retired in 1982 doesn't give it 19 years service.
That’s what it says
These airlines are just beautiful
0:39 that's a 737-200 and the -300 wasn't out yet
DC3's (Skyliners - big windows) , DC 3 crash in Kaimai Ranges early 60's , and Viscounts from the 50's and 60's and Beech 1900 as well as ATR 72 -500 and 600 and Q300 and 400's missing from list
isn't that DC-3 crash from NAC which merged with ANZ?
Can you do KLM or BA or Cathay Pacific
I'd say klm first and then cathay pacific!

When we're the Saab metroliners, beechcraft and Atr introduced, and the first 3 retired?

Only aircraft missing is the Saab 340A Beechcraft 1900d and the bombardier Q300
And the ATR72
Don’t forget air New Zealand link is a subsidiary business
@@Kingduckthe_II Air New Zealand Link is dead it is just known as Air New Zealand
Correction the first Boeing 737 in Air New Zealand was a Boeing 737-219 Not the Boeing 737-319 please get your facts right

Awesome vid.
So glad i got a chance to fly in a 747
are we not going to talk about the q300???
I know best plane
It's interesting how New Zealand got the 737 long before Australia did.
Air New Zealand didn't get the 737-300 in 1968, they got the 737-200 in 1968 and the 737-300 in 1998
Yeah I know I made a typo it was supposed to be 737-200 and the image was a -200
only it wasn't in ANZ livery it was in original NAC livery, I remember being at Wellington Air port when the very first 737 arrived back in 68. And the Vickers Viscounts were being retired.
@@thecelticprince4949 then NAC merged with Air new zealand and thats where that weird red and yellow livery at 1:29 came from I think

PixelTrain closedM I don’t how but I forgot about the turboprop aircraft. Thx for letting me know
Also the Beechcraft planes as well
can we please buy some a380s off emirates??
A380s aren’t efficient and airlines prefer smaller aircrafts
