I mean he did kinda do that one Grammys performance with them, and played a song or two on ...Like Clockwork. So there’s something. But yeah sadly no tour..
Grohl told a hilarious story about how when he was first up in the northwest with Nirvana, they let themselves in one drunken night at Lanagan's pad while he was who knows where...Then Dave awoke on the couch to Mark smoking, staring at him and then barking, "Who the f#ck are you?" Classic! Little did they know they'd be destroying(no pun intended) stages worldwide together 10 years later!
im stoned as fuck and bored at the start of the story and suddenly dave woke up and mark was singing in this live concert while i read that he said who the fuck is dave lol
I recently did the trip from LA to Joshua tree and visited rancho de la Luna. All the while listening to QOTSA, a full mix of all there songs. And whilst driving through the desert, I could feel there music like a million times more, literally! They are perfect desert music. This band means so much to me, thanks for sharing
Jason Seymour I recently drove through Death Valley national park listening to “better living through chemistry” on repeat. You are so right! Desert music!
So what you’re saying is you drove up to the gate lol. No one goes in. The only reason we were lucky enough is because we knew Johnny from Pappy & Harriets who knew the dudes. We had been out there shooting in the desert & camping so we offered a couple of the guys to join in to go shooting. Anyway, that’s how we got in and got to see the wonderful Patron Tree.
@MuseAbsolution 03 The only recent shows I seen of Mike since 2016 on were deadcross. While his voice of course isn't in its tip top shape I don't think its diminished very much. I think I need to see him perform live with tomahawk or faith no more to make a better assessment.
+TheWayOutisThru Every Kyuss album was a masterpiece. Songs for the Deaf was great. But can't sniff Kyuss's jockstrap. We know where this brand came from. Respect the masters of this hard rock genre. It will always be Kyuss. They were better than anyone else and still are.
Shai, you don't know what you're talking about. You think you do, but you don't. I was around back then. Homme was an important member of the band. Your comment is complete garbage. And your hero Josh would agree. That was a great band because of great musical minds coming together.
my go to album is lullabies to paralyze but songs for the deaf is their stand out album. the one that has those songs that everyone would or could sing along to if they headlined Glastonbury for example.
There’s something I find truly beautiful and haunting about Lanegan’s voice. Especially when he sings the “won’t you want me?” part. The shaky vibrato trailing on the end of each line, his one of a kind growl in all the right places, he was a true legend. RIP Lanegan
Wow! "Walkin On Sidewalks" is one of my favorite songs of theirs. To find a version this good is just a gift. To have Mark Lanegan singing lead, Dave Grohl on drums and that great jam on top of it all...great stuff! Wish they would stretch out more like this in concert (at least they haven't really the last few times I've seen 'em).
13 minute cut of Walking on the Sidewalks? This might be the best fucking freejam I've seen them do since I saw the Crooked Vultures BBC show where they played an extended Spinning in the Daffodils
This right here, mark on vocals, joshua on first guitar, nick on bass, dave on the fuckinn drums and troy as second is the ultimate greatest rock band of all time.
Damn that was insane! I was kinda thinking for a bit they were draggin Walking on THe Sidewalks on for too long and than they broke it down at 16:33 and HOLY FUCK i got goosebumps :D
You are so awesome for putting this back on! I've been missing it so bad and looking for it. Thanks! It would be an absolute tragedy if this Walking on Sidewalks couldn't be heard. Thank God they filmed it!
This song with Mark singing is just perfect, I wish it had been recorded that way, but it made for a nice little special thing during this era of touring.
@@vinceventura2393Nah bro, Dave Grohl has the heaviest drum fills. Doesn't matter how technical or fast they are. His are some of the heaviest. I've heard a hell of a lot of drum fills.
I just saw Qotsa in Nashville and they were absolutely amazing. However, I would do a lot to see this lineup for a full concert. I miss Nick singing some of these songs and Matt (RIP) as well. That is what truly made them unique, if they werent unique enough. I love this set because this isn't going to be winning a ton of fans but it showcases their range as a band at the time. Fucking amazing.
Interesting to comments lauding Dave , who is obviously great, and Nick but when it comes down to it, Josh is Kyuss and QOTSA as well as being a great guitar player. Josh brought the right or wrong people at certain times but he owns these 2 great bands. Period.
AHHHHHHHH. Sorry I just came. Fucking intense! The breakdown for Walkin' on the Sidewalks walked inside my soul and rented an apartment. Japanese crowds though...always so intense. *3*

Dave doesn't just play the drums, he punishes them.
Max Munson this comment made my day XD
Never, ever get tired of watching Dave play.
Dave and Bill Ward, keeping Remo in business for decades.
lmao
You're funny, Mr. Wapojif. And you're also wrong.
This Version of walkin on the sidewalks is absolutely fantastic!
Mark Lenegan=One Man Army!!RIP

He played a good portion of the songs on ...Like Clockwork
Yeah he played on My God Is the Sun and I Appear Missing
He played in "Them Crooked Vultures" with them.

Queens of the Stone Age at the same time in stage with two legends, Dave Grohl and Mark Lanegan!! Wow!!
+wilhemheider Homme, Lanegan, Grohl, Oliveri on stage... together. This was the peak.
Steele Green Don't forget Troy!
It may be unpopular amongst queens fans but i prefer Shuman. Everyone else on stage would make my perfect lineup

Yes! Trees of the Stone Age delivers an unbelievable quality and depth, or shall we say height!?
troy is underrated. he really brought that sort of formal sound to the band

@Brian Andersen straight forward rock and roll and a sort of rigid playing

Whoever saw that live..!! You witnessed a milestone in young musical history!!!!!
I loved when Grohl went through his session drummer phase. I wish he'd do it again.
Probably too many families are being fed by the Foo Fighters train nowadays.
@MuseAbsolution 03 Have you heard them touring? He sounds great!
MuseAbsolution 03 it’s such a shame too. It happens to everyone but Mike deserves to perform forever
James Dunham from drums he came , and to drums he shall return again. Lol.
They can get rid of the mixed guy and bring Dave back in

Mark singing Walkin' on the Sidewalks!!! Amazing!
".....And they have the best drummer in the world. ." Damn right!!!!
Dave at the end haha! Hard to believe the drumming from hell comes from such a gentle guy.
This recording of Walkin on the Sidewalks is easily the best jam QOTSA ever did

That moment when the video is kinda broken and slows down during Dave's smile at 1:12
Yeah. I thought my my WiFi was playing up lol
Nah its Daves special time warp ability
He's such special guy that the camera wants to soak in his loving personality
Almost looks Asian there... weird
He was drumming so hard it caused a glitch in the space time continuum
The best line-up 😍 Dave Grohl is a machine!
the three-piece of josh, nick & alfredo's pretty epic too
No, Castillo is a much better drummer. QTSA hit their peak with him in the band. This performance shows Grohl isn't on that level.
Hahahaha, I love those looks troy and josh give each other during the quiet bit of walkin on sidewalks
feels weird to see Troy without a suit
Gera G. he has a collared shirt. polo shirts are a gateway drug.
Totally! Feels like he's always worn collered shirts though.
Too much glamour and Hollywood they should come back to this
Looks like he's on summer vacation

Walkin' on the Sidewalks.. can't you believe that sound that is exploding from the stage? Sh*t is amazing.

Intensity is not only about movement, God. As an omniscient entity, your knowledge of the English language is pretty lacking.
Dave Grohl is an animal!!! WOW!!!!!!
He's THE animal! \m/
At the end of the last song my whole body shivered. I thought : this is music, this is a music band.

I've seen MANY shows and among the best moments I've seen, live or on you tube is 2:08 - 2:22. Holy shit Nick gave it his all there!
I love how at the end, Dave is just a chill dude.....
Holy Christ that Sidewalks jam is the tits.
Can't get enough of this one. Sublime!
