Oh man, this Nick/Ovation GP/Mark/Josh high as f era is legendary. I'll just keep watching these 98 - 03 shows where things where simpler, heavier and more awesome
Me too, I only care about Qotsa between 98 and 03, but mostly the Rated R era. After Nick got fired it became Josh's vanity/ego project. The first three albums are in my top 10 records ever, and the vibe of the shows were awesome (a lot of nicotine, vallium, vicodin....). Personally, I watch the shows high on something to get into the vibe.
u can also see that they were not happy... like it was too fast for them... joey rushed all the songs.. at the end of ever song josh said that to joey. buti liked that.
Training Wheels most drummers would fuck up playing this set though..I think Joey was better then DG even though I know Dave wrote the drum riffs on songs,Joey had the energy!
Joey is a much better drummer than Grohl, glad he spent more time with the band during their peak years. Leads to class footage like this. What a beast!
Will always regret missing this gig. Fortunately, I got to see the show in Brixton the same year, and two years later in Salzburg. (JOSH HOMME IS SUCH A BABE! )
Every comment is either 1) I miss nick 2) Joey was there best drummer, now they suck 3) I miss nick 4) this was queens of stoneage at their best 5) Joey is drummingto quick, slow down 6) Joey is the driving force of the band 7) and I think I forget, I miss nick.
@@wvvw4036 I miss Nick and Joey is a great talent on the drums & their last few studio efforts are not as enjoyable as their previous epic stuff & this is a masterpiece performance oh & I miss Nick too bad he was a dick but hey drugs...
I was at this gig and also saw an incredible set by them in 01. I rate this gig above all 7 QOTSA shows I've witnessed since (03-18 Aus and nth America tours). A lot of blood was spilt in this mosh pit. Early big day outs had exceptional lineups for a far away country with only ~20 million people. The days way before rona killed live shows... I regret nothing 🙂
Don't be afarid to walk threw the door.you where always susspose to.love love love you.no fear.lol crazy beautiful blue eyes.love them know them every where.lol
Mark Lanegan walks off the stage like '' my work here is done '' :D
yeah hes like "Yep I'm Done"
Cuz He's a boss!!!
Most underated singer of my generation.
One of the best vocalists of the glorious 90s, and currently!
just remembered your comment, watched the video and lmao after one year, thanks!
One of the rare live concert vids where Troy's guitar is actually louder then Josh's. Nicenessssssss
It's actually probably too loud and ruins the mix of guitars. Josh's guitar needs to be more prominent in the mix.
Actually it's just when Troy uses the slide guitar.

Any kyuss?? @@astrologiaeaudiobooks7278
It's great how fucking stoned Josh looks at the beginning. You know it'll be a good show when you see anybody with that face.
fuck yeah haha, hi also sings the chorus on a wildly way, that he never did
amazing
holy shit this performance was so raw and aggressive
the SOUND in this gig is fucking pure MAGIC.
wtf are they doing?!?! best concert ever.
u can also see that they were not happy... like it was too fast for them... joey rushed all the songs.. at the end of ever song josh said that to joey. buti liked that.
Big day out concerts had sweet sounds.
@@Pazrost bruh check 21:20, Josh is happy as fuck at Joey lol
Belfort 2005
Hahaha first concert I've heard in which the ovation sounds shite.
That dude is a beast on drums. Wow.
better than DG
No one brings the same energy as Dave, stop.
Philip Reed Wallace joey was a beast but Dave wrote a lot of the shit he's performing
too bad he fucks up the tempo of songs for the dead
Training Wheels most drummers would fuck up playing this set though..I think Joey was better then DG even though I know Dave wrote the drum riffs on songs,Joey had the energy!
A song for the deaf... dat riff... it keeps me up at night
stienerrecliner whole song, whole album......
i'll forever be impressed with the stick break at 2:23.
Christ, Mark just completely overpowers Josh on songs for the Deaf, and not in a bad way...
joey plays like those drums killed his mother
🎉Winston does a very special jobs ❤
WOW what a sound, and performance. Gotta admit I'm part of the 'Joey goes too fast' crew but I probably wouldn't care if I was there in person
qotsa has gotta be fast!
They were absolutely unhinged in 2003 especially
He has had little bit too much of c-c-c-c-cocaine
Sometimes he's passable and sometimes he's fucking nuts Lol
18:19 is the greatest musical sound I have ever heard in my life
Josh and Nick singing together is what the current QOTSA lacks... The beautiful harmonies
+Cazmir Nishi Don't forget Lanegan!
That and everyone has more shirts on these days.
Mike voice is great I have to totally disagree with you
Cazmir Nishi Mikey is a better vocallist and bassist
Qotsa ain't never lacks nutin, theys perfect how they sound, when they sound it yo!
Joey Castillo is a fucking machine !!
+Marcelo It daVE WAS BETTER
This is the best QOTSA lineup in my opinion (Y)
Except Dave on drums instead
@@johnnybravo2.0nah Joey's the goat man, lineups with him are the best ones
29:59 really should say "Tension Head"......Qotsa 4ever!!!
back when qotsa had nick....the good times, they were hardcore back then.
One of the best version of "A song for the deaf"
Mark and Josh harmony sounds soooo good here
Best line-up of musicians QOTSA ever had!
Lanegan and Oliveri. That was so cool..
29:44 Tension Head...what a riff!!!!!!!
Great drumming from Joey Castillo. Terrific gig.
Joey is a much better drummer than Grohl, glad he spent more time with the band during their peak years. Leads to class footage like this. What a beast!
I definitely wouldn't say he's better. Grohl was a more interesting composer on the kit for me. Castillo definitely fit into the bands sound well tho
fuck, I would hate to be a drum kit with that dude crackin' on me. He plays like a BEAST!!! (which is awesome)
Will always regret missing this gig. Fortunately, I got to see the show in Brixton the same year, and two years later in Salzburg. (JOSH HOMME IS SUCH A BABE! )
Josh is THE babe of all babes in the ENTIRE world. And I should know, I am also a babe.
Mark just randomly appears onstage lmfao
Yes, Joey rushes everyone, but geez he keeps them honest.
by the way they musically play, totally...the instruments
its a dangerous job being that heavy.
20 years for songs for the deaf
Saw them with Foos, PJ Harvey and Chillies the same year, right at the front. Please note NO recording on mobiles! Pure presence and energy 🥰
I was there and it was brilliant! Recently found some old interviews from 2003 on VHS which I've uploaded.
This gotta be the best live version of Better living through chemistry
Nick & Josh go together like a headache & a pill.
dat lapsteel at hangin' tree intro
The best QOTSA lineup of all time.
Song for the Dead from this Broadcast was the first taste of QOTSA for me. I was very impressed by it. I still am. Such power.
I miss Oliveri so goddamn much.
maddogg614 same
@@duhlikeme as well
Rip Mark :(
Joey Castillo-total class!!
Hanging Tree fn rocks out. Every song does. I can't get enough. Lol
Song for the Deaf is a juggernaut 🖤🖤
FUCKIN BEST QOTSA LINEUP, BRING BACK THIS SHIT
How did I miss this incredible band at the height of their touring, etc.? Love them so very much.♥️♥️♥️♥️
The real sound of Q.O.T.S.A.!!!!!!!!!! Good ;-) Great Nick!!!!!!!
check out this drumming. at 2:25 looks like stick goes flying.
Troy played a lot more solos back in the day. I wish he still did. Great guitarplayer.
Josh's best ever guitar move at 18:06
Can't stop watching this... Vicious!

Josh McLean I feel like I’m the only one that likes Shoes and Jon Theodore better than Nick and Joey
Mike, their current bassist, gives Nick a run for his money. Even his screams.
@yeahSOwhat we all miss Nick mate

最高いすぎる。まさにこの時代のQOTSAをクアトロで見れたのは一生の宝🎵勢い半端ない❗
This might be their best performance of a song for the deaf
Thank God for Troy!
R.I.P Mark Lanegan.
this set just changed my life
Mark is great 😎🤘🏻 RIP bro ❤️
I loved it❤!!! Man, ginger Elvis🎉!…..
36:57 Chad Kroeger interview Josh and Troy
QotSA always have the coolest bassists. Nick, and now Michael.
I bet Joey must have used at least four pairs of drumsticks during that gig. He punches them so hard...
much love for this band they rock
Sooooooooooo Glad i saw em in Melbourne BDO ,,,,Best line up
Rockin concert, thanks for the upload.
What could they be arguing about at 6:02 ?
Also, fuck i miss nick in this band!
Dam this gets me Fn pumped!!!
I see Troy wore his pajamas for the show.
the best alignment of QOTSA
Wow Song for the Deaf is nuts. Better than the record
Quality version of Song for the Deaf
This could be Queens best concert ever

It is the best one ever! They all are...
Joey is worth them all together here🤪
I miss joey, dude was a beast and made the band sound feral and urgent. new guy is okay, but no way can he match this intensity.
18:19 the most badass part of the show just because of that one sound lol
Great live, nice video, shooting, and excellent sound through headphones
best line up qotsa ever had
I'm going to leave you. Is a very sad song.love love love you always.blue eyes that never cry.
Queens at their tightest!
ckolonko if it weren’t for joey fucking up the tempo every other song
ckolonko yep, but agree with the other geeza. joeys a good drummer, but man chill and get the groove.
ckolonko not even close 2014 was their peak
Labelled Stoner Metal but I don't think QOTSA have ever been full-on metal, maybe some tinges, but they have a heavier Punk influence.
is that troy van leeuwan on backing?
Yees
best line up
best show ever!
The best queens of the stone age era.
This is the best shit ever
Masterpiece
same year as janes addiction.was awesome.i was there
