- The iFootage Shark Slider Nano is absolutely FIN-tastic! It's literally everything I've wanted in a camera slider since I began using them nearly a decade ago, and I use a slider in just about every single video I make.
iFootage provided the Shark Slider for free, but as stated in the video, I'm under no obligation to make a video about it or say anything specific. Feel free to check out my Ethics Statement about objective reviews, sponsored content, and brand partnerships:

Are you going to do a video on your switch to Sony? I'd love to hear your thoughts as someone who takes photos as well as video and has spent so much time in the Canon ecosystem!
So I used the timelapse function through the multi port the first time around. But then it stopped working and I've tried different settings on the A7s3's USB and the PC remote menus, yet the slider has stopped triggering the camera. Have ordered a new cable and I'm hoping that solves the problem. Any suggestions on what menu settings will allow the camera to be trigggered through the multi port?
Congrats on 70k Tom 🎉🎉🎉
Thanks Josh! Pretty mind blowing to see that 🤯
Oooh I do really love the manual setting of a and b positions! Not needing an app is also useful. I think the Edelkrone app works well but I'd like to have the option to operate it on the device itself, without my phone.
Yes! I love how easy it is to set keyframes with this. The Edelkrone remote was a nice addition though that let me get away from using the app.
Sliders are so much fun and do produce great images! Anytime I use one, especially for client work, I make sure there is a dedicated camera just for it. I try to set up before hand so it's ready to go with minimal set up. As a one man crew any down time leads to frustrated clients. *most clients prefer quick and efficient. The best clients understand it takes time to get the right shot. Great video as always Tom!
Thank you sir! I haven’t done as much client work as you, but there’s definitely the balance between quick & quality. It can definitely be tough.
Sliding into this video like 🕺🏻
👏
Great seeing you on Gerald Undone :) keep going man!
Thanks! That was crazy 🤯
Not only is the dad jokes the best, but the video quality is so damn good 👌🏼
Thanks man! I got the seal of approval from an actual dad 👍
I need this slider in my life. All of my videos include desktop product b-roll shots so a system like this would be incredibly useful in my workflow. Thanks for the insight Tom!💪🏼
I know we talked about this on Twitter, but since your workflow is similar to mine I can definitely say that this will be a huge help in making things run more smoothly. I'm sure you've seen Gerald's video on it, but if not, it's worth the watch.
@@tombuck His video was excellent!
I was just looking at this slider 2 days ago. I'm definitely getting it now.
Availability is a bit limited right now but it’s absolutely worth it. I’m happy they sent this one to me, but I was planning to buy it anyway. 👍
Very cool. Ifootage is doing some good stuff. Thanks for making this video.
They really are, I’m impressed with them 👍
We live in such amazing times! I remember the days when pvc ruled the world and it's so awesome that they're (sliders/drones, etc) becoming more accessible/affordable.
It's absolutely mind blowing! That's why I wanted to add so much context to this video. It's easy to list some features and say how it compares to other products, but remembering how quickly things have come so far is really important to appreciating it.
Man. You hit the nail on the head with the edelkrone. I had the slider one pro v2, the head one, the flextilt head and the legs and while I loved the concept, it was heavy, bumbling and frustrating. I sold it and decided to wait for something else to come out that was way way easier to use. My shark nano is arriving today so I’m looking forward to having something easy like this in my workflow
Woo hoo! I hope you really like the Shark. I use mine all the time and it's so easy.
Nice vid! One question: Do you have some "flexing" on the slider? Because I'm recording a show in a room and it has a lot of straight lines. The camera being heavy and my tripod not strong enough, it "flexes" and the lines are not straight anymore when the camera hits the edges. What tripod do you have? :D
I did NOT get bored at 6 minutes... ;) I really like the history and context as it gives a baseline to understand how cool the features and capabilities of this slider are. I love the shots of the Handicam on the slider! Great for those days you just have to record to Mini DV tape... I have the Edelkrone slider one, and find there's just too much friction in use (plus no power button and have to use app) and so I don't use it much. Plus, they're super expensive and surprisingly loud in fast movement mode. The Shark Slider Nano, with built in pan and (almost) double length slide on a stand, seems like a really good value.
I mean the video really gets good right after the 6 minute mark 😉
I was happy with my Edelkrone because it got the job done well enough in my controlled environment and I had gotten used to it, but this is a whole different beast. Plus that fact that you never have to use the app unless you want to- I love it! And it has a power button.
Tom I have been wanting to use a slider for our live streams to get a cool perspective! This is awesome. Thanks again for the content!
I love sliders. Just got done doing a stream with the iFootage a few minutes ago!
Amazing video!
I got burned HARD as an early adopter of the SliderONE - to the extent I rarely used it it was so bad - that it's so hard to even consider Edelkrone anymore even though everyone seems to love their new stuff.
I love their build quality and design, but sometimes they make things a little too minimal or leave out important quality of life options.
I've got the Edelkrone Slider One + motor unit with the Head One, FlexTilt Head... and it's soooo fiddly to make it work, it's definitely overpriced. Every time the app either crashes or wouldn't respond I just think it's too much hassle for the price, it _should_ work flawlessly for that money. My favourite piece of Edelkrone is the... little Quick Release One. Now that one works well, for the price of one-hundred-dollars.
I've been waiting for this video since you mentioned it like a week ago and as usual, it never fails to impress! By the way that 3/8 screw option where it slides down should just be on everything!
Right?! I think that's so smart.
awesome 👏
Wow, this video turned out amazing! Such an interesting product. I am always frustrated using my cheap manual slider haha
Thanks Leo! The Konova is a SUPER nice manual slider, but the motorized option saves so much time in terms of getting things right.
I love the shark slider nano, such a well designed and built slider! but I'll be honest I mostly watch this video for the puns and they did not disappoint...
I’m glad I could deliver on pun expectations (punspectations).
@@tombuck wow
Two years later, you're right. FPV drones footage are useless unless you attach camera to it and film like a normal drone
2 dad jokes before we were 18 seconds in…..new record!!! My wallet still hates you, in advance. Lol
Haha, this one is a bit of a hit to the bank account but it’s so good!
Okay okay, Video & Puns are great as always, also geeked on the Film Riot throwback... But we can't let Tom's dope shirt go unnoticed!! 🔥😎👕
Shark shirt! 🦈
I love the TB stickers on your battery pack. Great idea if you have to charge batteries in a group scenario where you might get batteries mixed up.
They’re super helpful! Especially on common gear like batteries and lens caps.
Excellent content my friend
Can you use a PD battery bank to power it?
I believe so, but I don't have any truly good USB power banks to test things out.
Phenomenal review and really appreciate the context you provide. I hope that's an affiliate link with B&H because you convinced me to buy one.
Oh it is! Thanks for the support- availability is limited at the moment (as seems to be the case with everything), but you can still place a preorder. I believe you could also order directly from the iFootage web site.
I wish people understood that bearings and a smooth action aren't the main factor in a good slider. Its the dampening of viscous coated surfaces, exactly like you have in a fluid tripod head. thats what allows you to start & stop smoothly - it resists the pressure you apply.
I love your reviews and videos. I noticed you had the a7s3. Can you do a review of it?
Thanks for the kind words! I’m planning to review the camera soon (it’s been great so far).
I recently made a video about Final Cut Pro presets, and in that I cover a bit about how I match the footage with my Canon cameras.
I LOVE YOUR SHIRT 😍😘
You nailed the puns on this one.
for the remote shutter trigger issue, try using different cables than the ones that come with the slider, the same thing happened with my canon 5dsr and when i used another cable it worked just fine
Thank you for that idea! I'm sure I just need the right cable.
Still looking for a slider until 2 years... found your video, was stoked about the review... until you said it's a 700$ usd (so around 900$ cdn)... my research still continue. But awesome review, great job !
It's pricey, but for a reliable slider with panning motion I don't think there's much out there that's cheaper. I do know that Rhino and GVM have some more affordable motorized options, but I'm not sure which features they have.
@@tombuck : they don't... i placed a back order on B&H hoping that it wont be processed this month since i've already bought 2 monitors at 1600$ already... My credit limit isn't like your lol !
I'd love to learn how this compares to something like the more expensive Rhino slider setup. Thanks for the reviews and the amazing channel. (new subscriber, learned about your channel via that Undone video 👌)
Hey Matt! Glad you’re here! I have friends who have the Rhino and really like it, but I haven’t used it myself. From what I’ve seen I think the interface setup on the iFootage is the simplest and easiest.
@@tombuck - Glad to be here Tom! Thanks for the content. 👏
That does look handy!
It’s so useful!
Thanks for the great information. I am live-streaming a band each week at our church from about 45 feet using a Sony A6400/200mm. Would you expect the motion to be noticeable given the relatively short horizontal travel. I think a subtle movement at times would add a lot to the production. Thanks
I think it depends on your lens/position. If there are foreground objects and/or you're using a wide lens it could definitely add a nice effect. Maybe try a test by moving the camera by hand for now just to see if the movement is noticeable enough?
Great review! Can you program a pan and or tilt without a slide movement, without having to use the joystick on the app?
You can do a pan by setting A/B keyframes and rotating the tripod head without actually moving the slider to a new spot. 👍
I'm so glad there other choice slider other than arc 2 or elderchome
Me too! Really like this one a lot.
@@tombuck I'm curious has the stutter or vibrate issue has been updated? And can this be use on iPhone?
Thanks for a great review as usual. I was looking at your SliderOne video and saw that they had a deal on on it so I thought I buy it. Then I saw this video and there are much to like with the Shark Nano easy of use and an quieter mothers etc. Do you ever use the flex head to get top down shots or will the top down mess with the center for calibration of the Shark Nano?
Pretty much the only he’d I’ve used with it is my old Manfrotto 701. The FlexHead could be ok as long as the center of gravity isn’t out too far over the edge.
@@tombuck Thanks! It seems that this is one downside with the Shark Nano compared to the SliderOne. My guess it’s because of the brushless motors on the Shark Nano compared to the steeples motors on the SliderOne.
Do you ever use the SliderOne for top down slides with the flex head?
I saw in another video that the Shark Nano only work in 25% angle think he had 1.34 kg load after that the motors are not strong enough. Is that your experience too?
Do you still use the Nano as your main slider or are there times when you use the SliderOne as well?
What tripod do you use for your slider?
MANO THE NANO
Great content bro! QUICK QUESTION... are you using that Rode overhead mic for the audio in this video? If so, it sounds fantastic!! It's definitely a better look than the having the mic in front of your face. Is this same setup what you now use for your podcast as well?
Thanks! If you don't see a mic in frame, 99% of the time I'm using the Rode Videomic NTG. It's such an awesome mic. For podcasts I do usually stick with the "mic in your face" setup just to bump up the audio quality a bit and try to reduce background noise as much as possible.
Every once in a while I'll take the audio from the Videomic and put it into Adobe Audition to EQ it a bit and remove some reverb, which does seem to help. A lot of times though it sounds great just straight from the camera.
Hi Tom great info here...thanks. Just wondering what your monitor is?
It's a 34" LG Curved Ultrawide 👍
@@tombuck Thank you
I footage Moco HAHA Marketing really should have a Multilanguage protocol😂. looks like a great piece of tech. Great video bro🔥
I'm far from a fluent Spanish speaker, but that made me laugh.
Hey mate, great video! Is this able to be used manually / or even panning up manually whilst it’s sliding?
Yes and no. It's definitely possible, but it's not as simple as a traditionally manual slider.
Loved the content over the years Tom, you’re doing it right and I’m smarter because of you 👏👏
Sorry for comment on old video, but wondering what your thoughts are long term on this? Hope to hear the hardware is holding up, no cripple-hammer firmware updates, and most importantly, no arbitrary jitters/wobbles that developed over time/repeated use.
Never owned an iFootage product, but LOTS of people seem to love their product line, and appreciate any insight in advance 👍
I have issue with timelapse as well. Camera is A7R III, timelapse work ONLY when i set self-timer 2s on camera, when shutter is set to single shooting or fast burst, slider is moving, but camera are not taking shots. But I am used to it, because usually I'm using 4s interval. So basically slider sends signal to camera, after 2s camera takes shot and then slider moves and so on...
I was having trouble with the timelapse feature too while using a Canon R6 II (uses 2.5mm shutter release). None of the included cables worked properly. The closest included cable that did NOT work was the L1 and it is TRS to TRRS. I grabbed a 2.5 mm TRS to 2.5mm TRS and it worked fine. Hope this can help some Canon users.
Thanks for this insight!
Hi Tom, the reason you can not trigger your camera to work is that your camera interval shooting is turned on, and you need to disable it and be off, also your need to set the self-timer to be single shooting, or otherwise you won't trigger your camera to take photos and finish your timelapse even if you see the slider seems to be moving and taking action of shooting but actually not trigger your camera to shutter.
Thank you for this info! I'm definitely sure it's a user error thing.
Thanks for the informative video! Quick question: Is the shutter release cable also working in video mode?
I cannot get it to work. I would like the slider to start camera recording automatically as soon as the slider starts moving and stop automatically when it reaches its final position. I have tested with Canon and Panasonic. No luck. I have tested the very same setup in timelapse mode and it works fine. So the cables etc. are correct.
Any hint highly appreciated!
Don't quote me on this, but I THINK there is some specific cable that will make it work more effectively like that, but I haven't found it. I've personally just been sticking with the press-record-and start-slider method.
HI, great review...is there an option to TILT? I have the Edokrone...but I am looking for something new and LESS $$$ that does pan, slide, tilt motorized from key frames...is this an option?
This slider doesn't have a tilt option, but I know Edelkrone does make some sort of tilting head.
Oh how I’ve missed your jokes! Great video it’s helped a lot. ☺️
how slow can you run the loop?
Dave is the man!
I miss his videos!
@@tombuck me too! I wonder what he’s up to these days
Wow!!!
Is this better there the Zeapon units?
I haven't used the so I can't say, but this one is still holding up wonderfully for me.
Timelapse may require adjusting settings on the camera. I encountered something similar with my EOS RP and Slider. Once i got settings dialed in, time lapse is like butter
I’ve been trying to figure it out and I think everything is set up, but I must be missing something. I’ve used other timers many times 🤷🏻♂️
Sending them to all the UA-camrs seems to have worked, not available anywhere. Had not heard about the fiddly-ness of Edelkrones.
The Edelkrones are nice, but they "fiddly-ness" is definitely a thing.
I came here to like this video as I use this slider 👍 it’s a great piece of investment
I'm glad to hear that! It's been really great to use for the past few months in my own workflow 👍
Can you use it manually if you need to? Like if battery dies and you don’t have a battery bank?
You can, but it does have the same feel as a truly manual slider.
have you ever try trexo wheels ? i think you would love :) i recommend you to take a look !
Thanks for the recommendation!
Hi Tom,
Good review. How does this compare with Zeapon Micro 2 or updated Plus?
I havne't used the Zeapon myself, so I really can't say. But feature-wise, the I don't believe the Zeapon has a built in control interface or the ability to add panning motion.
@@tombuck, thanks for the quick reply.
Yes Zeapon doesn’t have the interface and pan motion but they have been saying for awhile they’re making one.
Enjoy your iFootage nano slider. I just bought their TC7 carbon tripod. Good quality products. Looks like the nano are out of stock and I might grab the Zeapon Micro 2 Plus and give it a try.
I just bought one of these, but having trouble finding a tripod that's not ridiculously heavy to mount it on. My previous sliders had mounts at both ends which made it much more stable. Do you have any recommendations for a lightweight tripod for travel that would work with this?
Honestly, I don't. I wouldn't want to trust my slider plus camera/lens on a lightweight tripod. My Manfrotto 055X can handle it well though and it's not massive.
@@tombuck Good to know, thanks very much for the reply. I have been looking at the IFootage Gazelle Tripod TC5S, but not sure if that's going to be sturdy enough. I'll check out the Manfrotto you are using too.
Thanks for the tutorial. Did anyone figure out how to get the Canon R to trigger via the slider? I can’t work it out and it’s driving me nuts! Appreciate the help
I haven't figured it out yet, but I did reach out to iFootage who confirmed that they're able to get it working on their end and that the R is compatible so it _must_ be a settings issue on my end. Once I figure it out, I'll be sure to update the video description with the answer.
@@tombuck thanks for the response.
Hi Tom, I've got it working! The Canon cable that comes with the Nano doesn't work but the below does (C1 & C3 cables). Thanks, @kaiTiura for the help.
www.wexphotovideo.com/hahnel-captur-cable-set-canon-1581778/?mkwid=sgygfh3Og_dc&pcrid=310558796614&kword=&match=&plid=&product=1581778&pgrid=59879635377&ptaid=aud-899855844951:pla-559251831296&gclid=CjwKCAjw87SHBhBiEiwAukSeUT3L5tmReVKRjggYt2VRVgg_8M39qMlPqndq-sRlYBrd8nwJ4KgWnRoCyXoQAvD_BwE
Tom, what a fantastic -- or should I say, "fin-tastic" video? I'm considering mounting the Nano vertically on a desk to make my camera rise to appear above my monitor. Can you tell me how long the movement would be? Is it the single movement length or is it the double movement length? Also would I be able to mount it to an Elgato Master Mount vertical arm mounted to the back of my desk to give it the necessary stability? If you don't think this will work, can you suggest an alternative? Also, do you happen to know if it can be controlled with an Elgato Stream Deck?
Hey Frank! Thanks for the kind words!
It's a little tricky for me to find the EXACT length of movement, but when the slider is flat on a table, or mounted vertically it's about 11". It's connected to a tripod it adds in about 4-5 more inches of horizontal movement (but it's also important to remember that that shifts the weight around quite a bit too).
I haven't used the Master mount, but I think the slider is probably too heavy to use with it. And as far as I know, the slider can't be controlled with a Stream Deck, but there might be a brilliant person out there who knows how to make it happen.
Hope that helps answer some questions!
@@tombuck Thank you so much for such a prompt and helpful response!
I’m really digging this slider. It would be even better if they could get it to play nice with a gimbal like the RS2. It would make for a really versatile motion control combo. DJI released an SDK, so I think it should be possible. Maybe ask them when you send back the slider? 😉
Luckily I get to keep the slider. I could try mounting my Ronin S on it- I think it'll be under the weight limit 🤔
@@tombuck you wouldn’t be able to set keyframes for vertical and horizontal moves though, like you can with the rhino arc ii. If ifootage would incorporate dji’s sdk into their app, they would provide a smaller, more versatile option for half the price. There’s a company doing it already, YC Onion. But aparantly their integration is a bit sketchy.
Very interesting!
70k already! 120k by the end of the year. Sacándose los mocos, a Venezuelan expression, means a person doing nothing. The opposite of what you're doing. Working hard.
Haha thank you! That’d be insane 🤯
Hey Tom, are you using the ATEM Extreme to record now? I notice you're previewing your video on your computer monitor.
I've always wanted a slider, but I just haven't been able to commit...
I just use it as a preview but record everything to the camera cards. There’s no reason not to use the ATEM or Ecamm to record but I’m stuck in my ways.
@@tombuck I hear you! I do feel like I get better quality when recording to card vs. with OBS for sure. I am on PC so I haven't used Ecamm, but maybe that is better.
It’s definitely easier, but especially with cameras like the a7SIII I feel much more confident recording to a good SD card.
Adding an iFootage Shark Slider Nano to the "level up my video game" list of equipment
That’s a good list to have! 📝
Man-o, this nano IS incredible. (As incredible as that dad joke)
I was proud of that. I'm always glad when a product naturally lends itself to wordplay. Although that might not be the best way of choosing gear...
@@tombuck I’m glad it worked out this time 🤣
I’m sold, just when I’m in the market for a slider
Perfect timing! This thing is awesome. I know I was lucky enough to have them send it to me, but I was planning to purchase it before that and it's definitely worth it.
Got one right after the 'purple guy' reviewed it. I hated the Edelkrome I had (same one you have). I don't even have the App I just use the Shark Nano just by itself. I'm impressed with iFootage. Got their monopod. Want one of their Tripods ...
oh check you have the right cable that normally the problem.
I'm using the cables that came with it, but maybe I need to order one and try that. I remember you recommending this to me after the Purple Guy talked about it and that's what first made me interested in it!
@@tombuck I had that problem but (being old) I forgot other than getting a new cable is how I fixed it I don't know if was Gearld or Curtis that pointed me in the problem of the cable. wait go here (see pictures) www.amazon.com/gp/product/B078885F98/ref=ask_ql_qh_dp_hza
I am a realtor. I use an iPhone 11 pro, an OSMO 3, and iMovie editing. I am about to get a commercial license for my Mavic 2. I want to add a tripod and slider to my set of tools. What would you suggest as a decent price point for a tripod and slider that will enable me to improve my photo and video skills?
It depends on how much you plan to use it. If the slider is going to be a "sometimes" tool, you could definitely look into a compact manual slider. Edelkrone makes a realyl great one. If you're going to use it more often, then that's where a motorized slider can make things easier. They all have learning curves, but this is my favorite by far.
A sturdy tripod is also key. There are links in the video description to the Manfrotto legs and head that I've used for many years. You definitely don't want to put a bunch of heavy and expensive equipment on a bargain basement tripod.
What you are?
What is that picture and picture you use? I need that in my life!
Are you talking about the app overlay? I just did a screen recording on my phone, brought that into Final Cut and then resized it/adjusted the transparency. Super simple!
@@tombuck thank you
I like the shirt!
I couldn't not wear the shark shirt!
Not gonna lie, these puns kinda make me wanna take my own life.
Don’t do that, buy a camera slider instead 👍
Using a slider to take a shot of a slider
I need another one to get shots of the slider filming the slider.

how is it 4 months later!
Still use it in every video 👍
@@tombuck thank u tom! I'm looking to pair it with active track on a phone gimbal for my dance videos that helps so much
🎵 Shark Slider! Toughest man in the sea... 🎵
Shark Slider! With it’s smooth strong rails sliding so freely...
They need to make one that supports heavier cameras. i don't get it why gimbals can hold so much and sliders cant should be the other way around
If you dont stop with the puns, i'm calling the police.

Tom!! Stop making these videos please. Now I have to sell my edelkrone to get this 😅
I was happy enough with my Edelkrone, but this just makes things so much easier overall.
Yes, they send products for "free", but that's FAR from free. The time spent to gather what to say, setup lights, filming, edit, sometimes it's like editing a wedding! Sometimes it takes 3 days to complete a review!
It's so much work doing these reviews, they are exhausting. At the end of the day, no, it's not free. We just "paid" for it with our time doing these reviews.
And comparing the same time used to edit a wedding or a corporate video, these clients pay us like... $4000 and up. Reviewing items, very rarely something will get sent that cost $4000. So again, the time spent doing reviews and getting it "free" is far less on what one makes filming and editing a project for a client.
Secondly, those disclaimers that tells the viewers with "they send me the lights bla bla blah", it's actually required by law, that's why everyone adds that to the video. If it wasn't said in the video, one must at least put it in the description so people know this was a "free item"
Third, again, you are correct. The viewers can tell one's honesty. And before accepting reviewing a "free" product, then you have the choice of accepting the item or not. When you say yes, sent it over, most of times, it's an item that you like, read the specs, researched and believe it's really awesome, and most of the time they are, this sometimes it may seem the review is biased. So at the end of the day, no, it doesn't matter if the item was bought or sent as a test for review. You can tell if the review is honest. If it isn't, when someone buys the product because of the video, it will come back in the comment session as a complaint. So, most you tubers (hopefully) seem to be very honest. At least, that's how I think.
I’m so glad to read this! You hit the nail on the head. Pretty much everyone I know (at least in the tech/camera niche on UA-cam) goes out of their way to be transparent and honest.
But sometimes problem see “free product” and it leaves a bad taste in their mouth, which I understand. Fortunately most decent companies also go above and beyond to reiterate that they don’t want to interfere with objectivity.
It’s a fine line that I think everyone needs to navigate for themselves to see what they and their audience are comfortable with.
the remote is like a nokia with iPhone battery.
Take my money

too much jitter at anything larger than an iPhone. sent mine back
Does iFootage tell you what video title to use? Lots of videos on youtube about this product, with similar title, a variation of "best slider I've ever used"... it's cringey as hell. When people decide to become youtube content creators, is that the day they lose all self respect?
Or, and hear me out, it’s just the best slider I’ve ever used so I called the video that.
There’s not always a ten layers deep conspiracy to things.
From your own ethics statement: "I will always clearly state in the video and description that it was provided to me at no cost. ". Your description fails to mention you received it for free, so you're not even following your own guidelines. This is an expensive item. Receiving it for free in return for a "best slider ever" video that already is sponsored, is a nice pay day. No "cons" section, or room for improvement. Just "best ever, I use it every day, the end". One does not need a conspiracy to shine light on the obvious.
I added that disclaimer to the description because it should've been there and that was an oversight on my part. But the relatively lengthy part of the video discussing the Ethics Statement makes it very clear that I received the slider for free.
Like I said, I got to try the slider, I really like it, and I made a video about it. Even several years later, I still haven't gotten or used another slider. This is literally THE slider I use for everything.
You don't have to like the video or even agree with it of course, but to try and claim that I'm trying to be disingenuous or out to get a payday from a company that has literally never paid me for anything is both rude and inaccurate.
You still don't get it. Receiving free stuff from the company IS PAYMENT. You were paid. To claim you weren't is inaccurate. This isn't a phone case or cheap powerbank. You received an item that most people save up for over time to acquire.
That is not worth 780 plus tax…
I'm sorry I'm not posting this to be mean but I stopped watching a 6min I got bored 😐
Luckily UA-cam has billions of other videos for you 👍
Hey Tom! I just got me Slider Nano this week and it's an amazing piece of tech! RE the issue with the stop-motion manual shooting, you can set up your EOS R to shoot when you touch the flip-out screen, and this greatly reduces the possibility of camera movement when releasing the shutter over using the shutter release itself. I haven't tried the camera-cable interface on either my EOS R or my R5 as yet, so I can't speak to that issue, but it should be pretty straightforward given ifootage's excellent deployment on all the other applications/features, so if it's a problem, you can be sure footage will address it in another firmware update (if you haven't updated the firmware yet, maybe that's the problem. In looking online and through my manual, I'm not seeing a place to update the firmware, but mine is version "01ver 0.6.12". It seems to be a mystery as to where and how you update the firmware as far as official footage online is concerned, but according to posts on a Facebook user group (facebook.com/groups/750508455511461/search/?q=firmware%20update) if you connect it to your phone through the app, if you need one of the two available updates (calibration and, I assume, main firmware), it should prompt you to update.
I'll let you know if I find any issues with it running my cameras. The response I got from footage regarding whether or not the cable hookups would work with my R5, which isn't listed in their official "compatible" cameras list was pretty vague, saying only that the N3 cable (which my R5 uses) is compatible, without addressing whether or not it actually works in any way.
Yeah, "Moco" is "booger" in Spanish. WTH?🤪 BTW, I got my bundle for $599, so I guess they're going up in price.
Great tip about the flip out screen, that'll help a lot! I did ask them about firmware updates and they said it'll automatically show up in the app if one is available, so I don't think we're missing any releases. Overall I absolutely love the slider and I'm glad you're liking yours too!
@@tombuck so Tom, I have tried my EOS R5 with the timelapse feature on the Slider Nano finally. Like you, I was having issues with it not releasing the shutter, but then I tried turning on Bulb mode and voila! Without Bulb turned on, it seemed to want to release the shutter (settings etc would flash on screen as though photo was shot) but no photos were saved.
Bulb mode on and settings become available and shots are taken and saved.
Hope that helps.
