There's no way Trottie isn't a robot. This guy is too well spoken.
Another great video thanks Trottie and a very happy new year 🥳 greetings from 🇬🇧. Can’t wait for the new gear reviews.
Pure gold!
Great stuff as always Trot!
Lots of words, very little in sensical conclusions. Sort of this guy’s MO. Distracts you with chatter and confidence while not actually saying anything. Not to mention stating several times that adding loft increases offset when the opposite is true.
Thank you!!!
I’m not sure who I dislike more, this guy or Johnny Wunder.
I was a bit unsure about the channel when it changed to club champion but this channel is still incredible!
No mention of the p770 ?
Well done Chris 👏 😊
Do you have any advise?
Fitted and bought a set of p770. Problem 8 iron carry’s 162 @37.5 loft.
7 carry’s 182 @34. The speed pocket on the 7 feels hotter. Have numbers but smash factor on 7 always higher.
20 yards is a pretty big gap...might want to get that 7 bent a little to add a bit of loft...15 yards or a touch less in stock carry distance is a better gapping. Depends though on how good you are at hitting knock down shots, controlling trajectory and distance.
I’m struggling with to much draw as my miss with my irons. I play them 2 flat. How much does off-set do compared to lie when trying to reduce left shape?
In my opinion, as a fitter and builder, offset does a lot more than lie angle
@@jazzyjay4595 Thanks, I think this an area I have totally missed. My 7 iron has 2,8 mm offset. Tested a different model the other day that had std lie but 2,3mm offset. They were much straighter!
An interesting player to look at when thinking about combo sets … he’s using a 3,4,5 in the titleist u500 utility iron then 6-pw in the titleist 620 cbs .. just find that quite an interesting set up and if he’s doing that then maybe some weekend golfers will accept it’s time to stop trying to play butterknife blades
Yeah - even tour players are moving away from bladed irons. Most of Titleist's players are using the T100/150 with T200 driving iron combo sets.
what about shafts? Cant you change shafts on combo sets to help with the speed/lauch ?
trottie vs ian 18 holes
Why did you go from the P790 to the MC? There isn't any world in which a player is combo-ing a 790 with the MC/MB - those 2 are basically tour level clubs. If someone is looking for a better spin profile and smaller club to combo the 790 with it would be the 770.
Long irons on Tour (2's) are often 790's. You see a lot around The Open time. Also agree on the 770 part but figured the larger difference was easier for all to see
@@trottiegolf True enough...a lot of the Titleist players are hitting the T200 3 iron as their driving irons. Some are using the U505 - but they can get everything they need to bridge from their iron set to the woods with the T200 3 iron.
Bending clubs weak takes offset off it doesn’t add it no idea what he’s saying.
Great video. Minor point but why don’t you have proper golf shoes on ? Those Nikes look like basketball sneakers. Nothing beats a pair of FootJoys especially the premium model w spikes. There’s a reason why Tiger has been wearing them over past years since his latest surgeries
He works for Taylormade, don’t think he’s going to be wearing Acushnet(Titleist) stuff.
@@nothing1421 I know he works for TM. I’m not sure if Adidas is still affiliated with TM but there are better options than wearing sneakers
Most golfers are wearing sneaker looking golf shoes. Never see anyone wearing traditional golf shoes anymore at my club
@@JordanHacheyGolf I get your point but he’s not even wearing golf shoes. They’re sneakers
@@stephendibari5010 Looks like a version of the Nike Air Max 90 G. They are golf shoes - not traditional styling...but very few of Nike's shoes are. To be fair, he's hitting off a pristine, flat, dry hitting area - there isn't any need for anything more from a grip standpoint than what he's wearing. For his demonstration purposes, and probably standing and being out there a great deal longer than the 15 minutes of the video - comfort is probably more meaningful to him than anything else.
Didn’t learn anything. Confusing explanations.
