    The first video that really shows Ian is no longer in charge of the channel.

      How do you know it wasn't Ian's idea?! Ian and Mikey only have so much time to make videos on Mondays when they do their filming. We'll have to wait and see, but I'm guessing these videos from meandmygolf, Trottie, and Johnny Wunder will be scheduled to be posted on the weekends to fill in the gaps when Ian and Mikey don't typically post videos. People seem to be really overreacting to this stuff.

    If your standard set is built on a regular lie, how much (how many degrees) should you flatten your wedge to stop the pull left?

    • @trottiegolf
      @trottiegolf 8 місяців тому +2

      .5* to 1* as a start point

    2 questions. First, for a golfer who has an early release/ gets a little flippy and tends to have their low point right at the ball or behind the ball an inch or 2, does a slightly thinner sole with medium bounce like a Vokey S grind 10 degrees of bounce tend to work better than a F grind with a full sole and 14 degrees of bounce.
    I personally feel the full soles like the F and K grinds bounce into the ball when I try them, but I am always told that a thinner sole and medium to lower bounce is only for better ball strikers?
    Second, for a golfer who has a quick, very aggressive transition and an early release/ gets a little flippy and tends to have their low point right at the ball or behind the ball an inch or 2. In general, for this type of swing, a shaft with a higher bend point near the grip and a stiff tip section tends to be better correct?
    Thank you!! I love your channel and reviews!! You do an excellent job in your reviews!!
    ~ Joe

    M’y prefered wedge was my hi toe 54…. I bought a more “standard shape” more bounce and 56 degrés… this we’d good in sand… but does not slide well on the grass… it stops instead of sliding… (trip in Spain… the grass is very different than what I have in Canada!!!)… is it normal or is it the material of the wedge?

    • @trottiegolf
      @trottiegolf 8 місяців тому

      It's not the material it's the bounce and the tekkers used. Try the 60.10* Hi-Toe that was designed by Rahm, I always think that shape is the easiest for exiting the turf

    @clubchampion the reason the channel got so big in the first place was because of the txg guys… don’t start doing stuff like this

    Nice lesson on wedge fitting. Would be great if Club Champion didn’t price gouge people by charging for stock shaft options. I was quoted $1000 more for P790s than I could have got the exact same set from Taylormade.

    • @finnobrien7604
      @finnobrien7604 8 місяців тому

      and they don't carry stock shafts for woods/drivers. so you can't try those options there. as if $550-600 isn't enough to spend on a new driver

  • @Skye_the_toller
    @Skye_the_toller 8 місяців тому +1

    So… I should have some wedge with more bounce for soft grass and spring wet conditions… and another for dry conditions and hard and thin grass…

    • @JHOLE21
      @JHOLE21 8 місяців тому +1

      You don’t have to get two sets. Just change how you interact with the turf. Or get the set that helps your game for the most months out of the year

  • @JHOLE21

    As much as I want to believe Ian and them are still giving an Unbiased option. I just don’t believe they will be able to talk about what they really do not like about clubs/shafts anymore. Not that they ever talked badly about them, but this channel is now being pushed into a marketing/info channel

    Jeez, I just don't get how people are overreacting so severely to this! They've brought in some additional content creators to add some more content to the channel; it's not the end of the world. I'm guessing these videos from Trottie (who has his own channel separate from Taylormade's), Johnny Wunder, and meandmygolf will be mostly on the weekends (Fri/Sat/Sun) to fill in the gaps when Ian and Mikey don't typically post content. I've been watching TXG since 2018; I appreciate where they've come from and everything they've done. But man, some of yous guys are acting like the biggest crybabies about this.
