This is one of the best golf videos I've ever seen, thx! I'd love to see a vid on wedge testing. I'm playing TM high toes rn but I'm flirting with Ping's wedges...
@@PerformanceGolfZonethanks . It helps me to keep my wrists locked . I’m less likely to scull it or chunk it . I don’t use interlock for anything else , 40 yards in .
Yeah not often :) Only when you dont have much space to let it roll.....perhaps a tucked back pin over a ridge......only every once in the while do you pull the super saucy one out :)
If you play on a course that’s not ideal condition where you won’t get the good spin, is a premium ball any better that a 2 peace ball? Is it worth paying the extra money for a premium ball if you don’t get the spin from playing from a perfect lie?
@@Charzander570 At my local public course (Australia) you wont get a single ball to spin even with a brand new T24 wedge and every ball from ProV1x, Srixon Zstar XV, TP5, you name it. The green and ground here just isnt going to allow the ball to grip. At best it might check a *little* bit. If your local is like mine, dont waste your money, just get some Srixon Q-Stars or equivalent golf ball. These greens here only grip in the winter when its soft, green and moist.
Who pooped in your cheerios? If you can't do it off a tee, you certainly won't off the ground. Start somewhere to make the concept easier to grasp before moving back to the ground. FFS 🤦♂️
Yall realize this would be a drill to get the feel and understanding of the shot right? You get that your not going to be able to spin the ball well if its not in a really good tight lie? Like brother just say your a 20 hcp and you cant do it lol
One great perk that the pros have is they have tour trucks providing them with fresh new tour spec custom clubs
Thats for sure!!
My chips have been feeling amazing recently can’t wait to try this and make them even better
Love it---hope this helps ya!!

Appreciate it Alex!!
Best info! Thanks, for explaining it so well.
thanks Keith!
A nice Lesson ! Thnx.
Thank you!!
I’ve found using an interlock grip when I am chipping has been helpful to my chipping.
Love that it if that works for you!!

I find this very informative.
thanks Thomas!!
1:36 whats with the weird camera shadow to the left of his head?
High handicappers avoid this video, watch videos on how to make good contact with a chip or pitch. Just a heads up.
For sure this is more advanced!! We have/will have more on the "basics" as well!!
@@PerformanceGolfZone good to hear.... As for me loved the tips.
Would love to know which ping wedge he is using or which one he recommends.
What specific scenarios on the course do you like to use this technique?
Yeah not often :) Only when you dont have much space to let it roll.....perhaps a tucked back pin over a ridge......only every once in the while do you pull the super saucy one out :)
thanks!!
Is standing closer to the ball essential for chipping.?
Yes!
What degree wedge are you using?
56* SW or 60* good place to start
@@PerformanceGolfZone What bounce and grind?
It’d be really good if we could see the bounce or the bottom of your club is like a Phil Mickelson p.m. wedge or do we have to have a zero bounce?
Thanks for the feedback---we'll have to do some more on this coming up soon!
Ya right muni courses aint like tpc Scottsdale conditions 🤦♂️
Haha I hear ya!
Was he in the spin doctors?
Awesome!❤
Appreciate it!!
Allways funny, when people are talking about Chip-shots and then make Pitches … but‘s just a detail
:)

No.
Hey! Bunch of variables there Ideally you could test both and get some #'s with a good club fitter. Premium ball usually hard to beat.....
@@PerformanceGolfZone thanks

@@TheStaniG lol I play with Qstar Tour
It would have been MORE helpful to use slow motion and CLOSE UP shot for the contact.
Thanks for the feedback--I hear ya!
A great instructor does not need this guy asking prodding questions. The inst. would just organize and teach.
Thanks for watching and the feedback Paul!
The ball, the club, the lie and the green slope! Looks like he is hitting into a wall!
Lol for sure wanted to stack elements to show the exaggerated versions :)
👍
Thanks for watching!
So you can tee it up anywhere now? Woke golf
Lol! Just a nice way to do the drill :)
Derek looks so tiny compared to Eric
Lol weird angle we were standing on makes it look that way haha!!
@@PerformanceGolfZone yeah that's what they all say....
Lets all tee it up lol, what a load of rubbish.. Go see Dan Grieve and learn from the master..
Thanks for the feedback! Haha of course we would love to....just a cool drill to try! All the best
That’s great, let’s all tee the ball up around the green and cheat ffs 🤦♂️
Lol would be nice right!! Thanks for watching!
That’s what I saw. What is the point, we are not hitting off the tees
@@AegirWatches yep one of the worst short game lessons I’ve ever seen mate. Practice in game conditions otherwise you’re cheating yourself

Lol thats right :) Just a fun way to practice!
Kebanyakan ngomong...practise...
