If you are in Vietnam for years and meet the right people, you can get something 2 or 3 times as big for $300 It all comes down to your network. His apartment is not worth $250. Connected people can get 2bdrm 2 bath furnished for $300.
Absolutely love your videos Alex, I watch every one of them even after having returned home from VN. Found your stuff back in 2018 and it led me to move to Vietnam over Thailand. Had the adventure of a lifetime up until spring 2019 when I returned home to be closer to family. I wasn’t an English teacher but I bet there are a ton of other people like me who are never NT clients but still have you to thank for their Viet adventures. Thank you for doing what you do and telling the expat story
What!!!! it is so cheap for a modern nice looking flat. In Mexico, in a big city, it is like 3 or 4 times more expensive for an empty flat that you have to furnish yourself :O !
This is sooo great. Respect to Vietnam. In Philippines this would be 600 dollars, utilities not included. Plus the city will be super boring with no foreigners. This is so amazing. But I know Vietnam and Thailand have very reasoble rates.
Nice apartment, gorgeous view and a low price, so awesome! It's good to know there are plenty of vegan and non-vegan food options. Covid cases are still rising here in California, unfortunately. Hopefully the numbers will dwindle soon. Thanks for sharing, Alex!
Nice apartment. Westerners must enjoy the cleaning service. I know that here in USA, rent never includes cleaning. You should ask the cleaning lady to bleach out the mold in the bathroom.
What a great find!🤩May I pls have the apartment name/address, (better, link😉) now that most prolly you're no longer staying there by now? Will highly appreciate it-THX!😅🙏
Bro you're the best. Loving your video's & when you move out, let me know, I want to take your apartment if I can get it for the same price or around the same price hahaha, doesn't hurt to put that out there. I should be out there by Sept or Oct.
Great place! That's an awesome deal for DaNang. I lived closer to the beach and it was a little pricer. And that's so cool that there's so many vegan places there now! Cheers! 🙌
Awesome! Thanks for the consistent content. I've been missing this. Awesome apartment! Especially for the price. I think I'll look for a shared house when I first moved there 😊
In 1980 I had a studio apartment on the top floor of a house converted to apt's. in Sausalito, CA for 250. a month which included the utilities & cable TV. I wonder what that same place is now? So glad my wife & I moved to north CA and bought back in the 90's because housing is so expensive now. Time to set a spell & just relax...
The best thing is the large rectangular shower head that drops (rather than spray) water down on your head. I love that so so much when I were in VN. It is a different showering experience, a more natural and relaxing experience that is one of those things that make life worth living
Philippines is better. I pay $160 for very nice 2 bedroom apartment. I would like also to comment Philippines is cleaner (really) than what I observed in this video. Our Apt. Is in Caloocan, Metro Manila
hey i just subscribed so i can stay in touch for future options on moving there... I just took a new job at a medical college with a one year contract to teach first and second year pre med student English after that i might consider moving in the future so i am researching at the moment on options in Vietnam... i have tattoos do the frown upon that there or is it cool? look forward to speaking soon... have a great day
That’s the price......4 mill for a studio is standard . No more than 5mill. The testing & quarantine will be around for a long time to come.....so prices will likely get cheaper. Already commercial rents are falling heavily. Supply & Demand.....they’re still building skyscrapers all over Vietnam. In Nha Trang most of the big residential towers are close to empty with more coming.
No need, but one could certainly get a spring style shower curtain that would cut down on the spray… other ways to finagle a bottom wall sort of thing pretty easily too
you can get this type of studio atm in the price range 2.7-3.2mil. So if its not inlcuded elecricity and water you should consider renegonitiate the rent with your landlord. i found myself 1bedroom apartment for 4.2mil around 54m2
Hi how are you doing bro love all your videos so we want to retire in da nang very soon so can you please give us some info phone number or some one to help ?? how to look for room thank you so much hope you doing well 💕
Do you plan financially for the future or do you take each day as it comes? I like to make sure I have money stashed for rent for at least a year to give breathing room
How's that area? I have thought about moving to this side but then always found a headache to have cross the main highway to get to the beach road everyday when cycling.
Hey Alex thanks for the video, great looking burger you got there in the intro. Which made me think about dentists, and wanted to ask you: what's the situation with dentists in Da Nang? Have you found a good place? Cheers!
Alex how did you manage /or how do you manage to prolong your stay in Vietnam itself? Did you have to apply for a work permit for e.g 5 years. If so how is the process done properly? Sorry its a completely different set of questions towards your video. Thanks for sharing 😁👌🏼
Hi Alex I read that the company supplied your apartment. Did your company pay a bond and rent per month. By the way what is a Ninja teacher? I have taught ESL in the North Vietnam sometime ago now. How do you get a Temporary residence in Vietnam? Cheers Eileen
Hello Im an American woman and my fiance and I are moving to Da Nang and we are looking for a nice sized studio or a 2bhk in case they are small! Any suggestions? Also I may be taking your TEFL certification in a few months as well, so please let me know about that as well thanks & we love your channel!
The best place to search is on Facebook groups. Search "Da Nang accommodation / apartment" and join the most active groups. Sounds good re our TEFL! You can find out more here and sign up: ninjateacher.com
hi, Mr please send me that apartment, in da nang city, I am waiting for the visa, and ill be there from India it looks great India is not cheap and very dirty, please send that address it looks great
Hello Alex, in several videos you mentioned "when the border is opened....". Does it mean that you cannot travel from Da Nang to Saigon or within VN? I thought the whole country is opened for travel within the country border? From Denver, USA.
You can travel domestically. Running our TEFL training course is dependent on foreigners getting in to Vietnam to attend so that's why I'll travel back to HCMC when international borders are open again so we can resume our classes.
Tipping is not mandatory in VN . If you liked the service , you could leave about 4 or 5 % of the amount on the bill . It's up to you . In high end restaurants the service is already included in the price . When you take a tour trip , you could give 1 or 2 USD to the tour guide and the driver, if you liked their service . In hotel, you could tip the room ladies 0.5 to 1 USD / night . It's always appreciated
Nice apartment, I hope I can find one like that once Vietnam allows people back in.
If you are in Vietnam for years and meet the right people, you can get something 2 or 3 times as big for $300 It all comes down to your network. His apartment is not worth $250. Connected people can get 2bdrm 2 bath furnished for $300.

Hey Ian! Thank you. Means a lot to me that you got value from my videos and it led you to have a great experience.
What!!!! it is so cheap for a modern nice looking flat. In Mexico, in a big city, it is like 3 or 4 times more expensive for an empty flat that you have to furnish yourself :O !
$200 is so cheap, can't wait to fly back to vietnam to visit
HEY GUYS THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SHARING US 💙💫🌎
$4 for a vegan burger compared to $18 here in the states, I’ll take it!! 😊
This is sooo great. Respect to Vietnam. In Philippines this would be 600 dollars, utilities not included. Plus the city will be super boring with no foreigners. This is so amazing. But I know Vietnam and Thailand have very reasoble rates.

Very NICE place. You would pay $1,800 in Irvine California where I live (but not that view, would be city, busy street's views).
Sorry if this has been posted previously, but does a fully qualified Australian teacher need to do TEFOL to teach in Vietnam?
Nice apartment. Westerners must enjoy the cleaning service. I know that here in USA, rent never includes cleaning. You should ask the cleaning lady to bleach out the mold in the bathroom.

Very nice apt. Did you mean the cleaning service once a week is included in the rent?
Yes 👍

Is the usual kind of western food available in Vietnam? Burgers Pizza Hot Dogs, things like that?
Hi Alex... thanks for the information:)
You sound south African? My son flies to Vietnam tomorrow from cape Town. Enjoy your adventure there:)
I am! Hope your son has a good time.
Nice! Im a professional basketball coach & i just moved to Hanoi ! My place looks similar ! Any suggestions on top food places and bars in Hanoi ?
Nice! Honestly places have closed and reopened a ton since I last spent time there so can't really say.
Ok got you. I'm thinking about staying here for a while. I recently was in China for 2 years and Hong kong 1 year . Hong Kong is very expensive lol .
Great place! That's an awesome deal for DaNang. I lived closer to the beach and it was a little pricer. And that's so cool that there's so many vegan places there now! Cheers! 🙌
There are loads of vegan places now yeah!
how can you find this apartment? I don't know any site to look for :((
It costs me about 250 AUD in Australia per week mate at least
Awesome! Thanks for the consistent content. I've been missing this.
Awesome apartment! Especially for the price. I think I'll look for a shared house when I first moved there 😊
how to find a flat in Da Nang city? Do you recommend any real-estate agent?
For $200 in Vietnam is a decent studio is king, mate.
Great video! What is the best way to look for apartments outside of Airbnb?
EXPENCE AND PAYMENT FOR APARTMENT IS PROVIDED BY JOB OR NOT /// THENKS FOR ANSWER PREVIOUSLY
Thank you for sharing about Vietnam 😊

How do you pay your rent. Direct monthly payments from your western bank. Checks. Etc Cash
Cash or local bank account payments are the most accepted by landlords.
The best thing is the large rectangular shower head that drops (rather than spray) water down on your head. I love that so so much when I were in VN. It is a different showering experience, a more natural and relaxing experience that is one of those things that make life worth living
Why do I think that travelers like yourself will not have the required credits needed to collect Social security when your time comes to retire?
HI ! Very nice apartment !! Can you give us some rental sites ?
lovely video, watched your previous ones and was curious has Vietnam banned flights from SA?
Not specifically SA as far as I know.
Philippines is better. I pay $160 for very nice 2 bedroom apartment. I would like also to comment Philippines is cleaner (really) than what I observed in this video. Our Apt. Is in Caloocan, Metro Manila

that apartment looks unique, has big windows all down the side. most studios only one window. great score!
Cool place!
Do you have a video on teaching English in classrooms vs online? It currently seems more can actually be earned teaching online. Thanks.
Nice video,man!
I pay less than 100.000vnd for electricity. But not in Danang ...

Where is this located and the name of property 🤔
Where is this apartment located in Vietnam. I’m very interested in traveling there I the apartment.
Enjoyed your video! Reminds me of my time in Da Nang in 2014.. I rented a 3 bedroom house just a short 5 minute walk away from the beach.
Sir, that's a pretty big space for a studio
What's the square footage ? Thank You
Looks brilliant.. I'm currently teaching near HCMC, let me know if you want to meet up sometime
Very nice chilled lifestyle..wow that’s cheap rent ..2k fur studio in nyc
What a nice little apartment, and the price is unbelievable. I really think retiring in Asia is going to be my reality.
Value apt and a maid to 'make you feel good longtime 🤙🏼
Same. Retirement in Thailand or Vietnam is looking good.
nice apartment :) also like the rog strix laptop ;)

It's a bit different for me cause I'm a small business owner so I invest most of my money back into the company.
I'm no vegan but that burger looks amazing.
interesting video
I'm happy for you bro. You're living the free life
they have a dryer? that's very nice. Is $200 including gas and electricity?
So nice! An apartment like this would cost no less than 450$ in Ho Chi Minh or Ha Noi city.
Thank you I love the insight you give! I am coming to da nang in mid may and I am super excited for it 🤩
How's that area? I have thought about moving to this side but then always found a headache to have cross the main highway to get to the beach road everyday when cycling.
It’s nice, it’s a couple hundred meters from An Thuong so easy enough to get to the beach.
Hey Alex thanks for the video, great looking burger you got there in the intro. Which made me think about dentists, and wanted to ask you: what's the situation with dentists in Da Nang? Have you found a good place? Cheers!
Fabulous apartment and super cheap great 🤝 definitely..

Oh own a company here so I can get a 2 year Temporary Resident Card which is renewable.
Hi Alex I read that the company supplied your apartment. Did your company pay a bond and rent per month. By the way what is a Ninja teacher? I have taught ESL in the North Vietnam sometime ago now. How do you get a Temporary residence in Vietnam? Cheers Eileen

Hey Alex I’m about to make some crazy decisions and thought of asking you of some questions and love your video
$200 is such a great value.
what is the address of your building? I'm interested in checking it out when I move to Da Nang
There are much better places. You pay too much for a basic room!. Vegan burger for $4.50 in a cafe - you are a tourist !!!
This is awesome .))
Hook me up Bro, haha
Peace God Bless
I'm over by Marble Mountains in an Air BnB. What's your internet speed?
So what's the name of the apartment building? Thanx!
How far is this building from the beaches?
I’m only familiar with the beach strip area of Da Nang. Just curious if it’s like a 10 minute ride away?
About 5 minutes drive
kareem pinkston i think about under 1mm
@@sutannguyen8599 - thanks for that info!
hi, Mr please send me that apartment, in da nang city, I am waiting for the visa, and ill be there from India it looks great India is not cheap and very dirty, please send that address it looks great
Hello Alex, in several videos you mentioned "when the border is opened....". Does it mean that you cannot travel from Da Nang to Saigon or within VN? I thought the whole country is opened for travel within the country border? From Denver, USA.
So far you can travel freely within Viêt Nam . Unless something happens again like last summer in Da Nang
You can travel domestically. Running our TEFL training course is dependent on foreigners getting in to Vietnam to attend so that's why I'll travel back to HCMC when international borders are open again so we can resume our classes.
This was very helpful!
Nice video Alex, Danang is so affordable compared to the big cities in Vietnam. Safe travels from another creator in Vietnam 🇻🇳
Its a perfect Appartment.
Would love to have something like this, when i'll move there
Absence of good stove is a big minus for me. Very good value overall.
May I enquire what to look out for like spam, or thing to be cautious?
You are great brother
Nice apartment, can you do a video on a 2 bedroom place soon? 😀👍
1 MILLION A MONTH WHAT FOR ELECTRIC WOW.. CRAZY
@@4stronaut even worst lol I have wash machine and air that what I pay ever 3 months lol
how did you get a vn visa if you are teaching online?
I don’t teach online I own a company in Vietnam.
Lol i got an ad from ninja teacher, while watching ninja teacher.
Really hope we can return to Vietnam soon. Have been waiting to move back since May! 😬
Know how you feel! Not looking to move back permanently for a few years but would be nice to be able to plan a trip! I miss it so much!
I also want to move back :P sadly I don't have any skills :/
Do they take 3 months advance or 1 year or only one month rent ?
Most places you pay month-to-month and have to put down a 1-2 months worth of rent deposit.
Is scootering around Danang very busy and challenging?
you will just look challenged
Hi sir where can i find for 200 e apartment. Thanks
Love your videos
Quick question is tipping expected in Vietnam? And if so how much usually?
Tipping is not mandatory in VN . If you liked the service , you could leave about 4 or 5 % of the amount on the bill . It's up to you . @@hungcuongnguyen293 thank you for the reply!
Nope!
Please don't tip. Local typically don't pay any tip. And I don't want my country to learn tipping culture.
