This band was way ahead of their time. You would love The Real Thing by them, or Jizzlobber. There are some compilations of him on UA-cam displaying all the different ways he can change his voice. Probably one of the most diverse singers out there. Check out Easy the Lionel Richie song covered by Faith No More. He is spot on.
The Guitarist is Jim Martin... notice he has a Cliff Burton T-shirt on who was the bass player in Metallica before he was killed in a bus crash.... Jim martin was really good friends with Cliff Burton.
Faith No More are a great band. Just so you know, Mike Patton is known as the man of 1000 voices…or something like that. You never really know what you’re gonna get. Keep in mind this song is 1991 or 92 if I’m not mistaken… early 90s. It’s just as epic today as it was back then. I got to see these guys live at a triple header with Metallica and Guns & Roses, literally 2 of the biggest bands in the world then and now. I walked away a FNM fan for life. They totally killed it even in a show as an opening act for those two behemoths! Falling To Pieces is another great song and video you should check out.
I'm 43 I can remember seeing them perform this live and at the time they were so far ahead of the curb people didn't know what they were listening to. I don't think they knew they were laying the blueprint for so many other bands that came around years later that had a similar style minus Mike Patton's sick vocals.
Guitarist is Big Jim Martin. He left the band years ago and is now a world champion Pumpkin Farmer now. No, I'm not kidding. He's actually a legend in the music world. He was one of Cliff Burton's best friends. Cliff was Metallica's bass player before tragically passing away in a tour bus crash in the mid 1980s. In fact, his shirt he's wearing in this video is a Cliff Burton tribute shirt.
Jim Martin. He was in the movie "Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey" as "Sir Jim Martin," head of the "Faith No More Spiritual and Theological Center" in the future.
The guitarist is from " Corrosion of Conformity" a metal band from the 80s check out their song " Albitross" metal and southern rock exelellence, kinda black sabbath meets lynyrd skynyrd. Even if you dont like them, you must admit the musicianship, the guitar tones are off the charts!
When I think Rap-Rock (and I think I'm not the only one,) the first band that pops in my head is Rage Against The Machine. Definitely worth a reaction. Frontman Zack de la Rocha spits furious bars against the police state and wars of oppression, and guitarist Tom Morello is famous for making all kinds of weird sounds with his guitar. "Bulls On Parade" is a good starting point. Enjoy!
"THE SINGER WAS THE ONLY ONE GETTING WET." The music was chaotic and frenzied. Lots of anxiety and longing for....something. Then, he "gets wet" while everyone else is busy playing their instruments and NOT getting wet. Then he appears dry, put together and calm, as everyone and everything around him, even the sound of the chaos, fades away. Then he sits down, makes music thats soothing and slow in this "place" where hes found solitude, and peace. The fish however represents him being in an unnatural state where he is left slowly dying and gasping for air, yet unable to breathe or to save himself. The scene returns to the lethargic musician who believes himself to be feeling very good, but unfortunately, hes too high to realize that the euphoric sensation hes experiencing is from his brains lack of oxygen as he sufficates. The song is about drug addiction, and a mans frustration with simultaneously knowing that the thing you love, and need is also killing you, but being unable to stop. And being aware of the fact that you hate yourself for not WANTING to stop.
Ok so heres the deal, you have a Rasta drummer, classical pianist, funk bassist, metal guitarist, and a rapper vocalist! What does that spell children? FAITH NO MORE!😂😂😂😂😂 they are awesome every one of them are extremely talented and masters of their craft, true artists.
I'm so glad you liked it . Father no More was my first experience with rock/ rap , and it made me listen to Beasties and Rage Against the Macnine and all the other stuff . Singer was , I believe Mike Patton , but guitarist ? I can't remember .I was in my 30's , but a new world opened up , Linkin Park , where have they gone .This song really was an anthem , an epic anthem for this music type/ genre . And I loooooved it.
Guitarist is Jim Martin. He left the band in their prime and they were never as good without him ever again. Don’t get me wrong, they were still good. But they were better with him. He brought an edge to them.
if you want something different check out some modern metal, each of these bands is a rabbit hole of their own, amazing music and lyrics. Terminal by Silent Planet Sleeptalk by Dayseeker Daylily by Movements Higher by Sleep Token Constance by Spiritbox

Epic is about picking up an ughh...Adult magazine for the first time as a teenager. Listen to the lyrics and it makes sense lol. His nasily voice was done on purpose to make fun of the previous vocalist lol

Most underrated band of the 90s

I think the subject of this song is: LIFE
Guitarist is Big Jim Martin. He left the band years ago and is now a world champion Pumpkin Farmer now. No, I'm not kidding. He's actually a legend in the music world. The guitarists is a farmer now and holds the Guinness Book record for biggest pumpkin ever grown.. real talk
That’s a myth, he actually became a chemical analyst and discovered polyethylene glycol used to treat dyschezia
Jim Martin. He was in the movie "Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey" as "Sir Jim Martin," head of the "Faith No More Spiritual and Theological Center" in the future.
It's a great song, but it's just the tip of the Faith No More iceberg. Mike Patton is the most dynamic vocalist in rock today.
Amazing band amazing sound...they rule! Do SMALL VICTORY next 🤘 Thanks!

Hey guys. You'll like "The Real Thing," it's probably my favorite by them.
Stripsearch for sure guys. A lot later than Epic but it's a phenomenal song.
"THE SINGER WAS THE ONLY ONE GETTING WET."
The music was chaotic and frenzied. Lots of anxiety and longing for....something.

Mike Patton can fucking sing ya'll. He can sing anything or heavy metal .
I have seen this in the 80's and just now realized that Mike Patton is wearing a Mr. Bungle t-shirt
Jim Martin is one of the great’s along with Slash,Jerry Cantrell,Tom Morello ,Randy Rhodes,Zack Wylde, and others
Ok so heres the deal, you have a Rasta drummer, classical pianist, funk bassist, metal guitarist, and a rapper vocalist!

Epic is about picking up an ughh...Adult magazine for the first time as a teenager. Listen to the lyrics and it makes sense lol.
His nasily voice was done on purpose to make fun of the previous vocalist lol
No one ever mentions Chuck Mosely when talking about the nasal vocals. That's exactly what Mike was doing - poking fun at Chuck's nasal vocal style
