There is and never will be another band like TOOL.....the perfect combination of musical talent, spirituality, cerbalism, Long live these songs and lyrics....great reaction!! they just announced 2022 tour dates......we will live to see another day!
Hi. Have her watch the Official video. Its such a treat! Lateraulus is my favorite TOOL album. I had the pleasure of seeing them on this tour and it was the show of a lifetime💫
I saw Tool 2/5/2022 in New Orleans. I'm 50 and It was on my bucket list. I paid $700 for 2 tickets. They were beyond amazing. I'm going to see them again. Once was not enough!
My dad suffered a debilitating stroke from which he never recovered control of the entire left side of his body. Parabola really was like medicine for my mental outlook as a youngster. Also, a lot of Tool reactors since F.Inoculum and I think Spotify getting rights broadened the audience which is great.
That "favorite part" of yours is also one of my mine. Just love how it quiets down and then that chunky bass comes in. This is some of Tool's best work!
Yep! Go GO GO! I saw them on Feb 2020 just before the world turned to chit, and I'm hoping that they return to Australia when they've done the rest of the world!
Hey guys, enjoying your Tool reacts, keep it up. Little contemplation on main theme of the song - Maynard's statement that pain is an illusion. Experience could be like that - not to feel the pain in certain states, but instead the pain actually what is an illusion is SUFFERING. Pain is real and it is important survival tool to keep this body and mind safe and healthy, which is essential for Truth seeking. But suffering is only in the mind, self-made drama, an illusion. Once false identification of body and mind being us is transcended, there is no more suffering. State of equanimity (Samadhi) is evoked, which is the most therapeutic and joyful state of being. Sat Nam, spiral out.
Great Review 👍 When it comes to ranking TOOL songs it’s almost impossible to settle on one song as being the best of them all or settle on a top 5 list as well. Me personally it depends on the moment and what is going on in my life. When my moms passed away in circumstances similar to Maynard’s mom and coincidentally my moms name was Marie as well, 10,000 days and Wings for Marie would have hands down been my #1 at the time but it’s been 4 years since that and I’m in a different state mentally. That said Parabol/Parabola is one of my favorite TOOL songs along with Forty Six & Two, Right in 2, Lateralus, Schism, Sober, Descending, Vicarious, Push It (live from Salival), and H. They are all interchangeable as far as ranking based on where I am mentally at the time.
Hi man, Thanks for the comment. Man, sorry about your mum. It must have been very emotional hearing that track at the time. I hope it was some comfort for you. Yes, all of the songs you listed are up there vying for position in my top 5. But for me my number one has always been 46&2. For reasons I can't explain it has always struck me (even before I really knew what the lyrics were about). I'm saving that one, as it may be quite emotional for me. Thanks for watching. Hang around for more Tool and other cool stuff. Cheers
Thank you and funny that it was Forty Six and Two that grabbed me at the old Tower Records store here in Hollywood California. Came to buy Jimi Hendrix purple velvet box set which had my favorite album Axis Bold as Love, as we walked to the doors there was a long line so I asked them who was going to be in concert and they said a band called TOOL. The store was awesome cuz they had albums and new releases m display with headphones so you could hear the songs before buying the CD. Well I saw the Aenima album and put the headphones on and Forty Six and Two was playing. Mind blown I stated there and heard it a couple more times then grabbed the CD not wanting to hear the rest of the album until we got home. If I had to pick one that would probably be my #1 as well. When I met Maynard I told him both the story about my mom and the Tower Records story of how I accidentally got hooked on his art. Or as he always puts it his and his brothers art. Anyway thank you for the kind words and subscribed. You guys do a great Job.
My bad! Tought you were in the UK. My april concert was cancelled due to the pandemic here in Montreal. Hope late 2022 or 2023. Long life Tool head also. Wish you both go soon yet again! Cheers!
@@martyroy3165 Cheers mate - it's confusing because I'm from the UK. Rach has never seen them live, but I'm hoping after this little experiment of ours she may be up for it :) (She came to see APC once in London (13th Step Tour) after never hearing them before and she loved it). Hope you get to see them soon mate.
I think it's time Rach introduced you to some aussie music mate...The Church, Divinyls, INXS, Cold Chisel, Grinspoon, Silverchair, Wolfmother, Baby Animals...I could go on forever. Oz has always been loaded with insanely talented musicians since way back when the Bee Gee's and ACDC ruled the airwaves to nowadays with the likes of Sia and Tones And I still showing how it's done aussie style! I'm positive Rach would have some bangers up her sleeve that you've never even heard of...and it's sad the rest of the world missed out on them purely coz they weren't signed with Sony etc.
@@Ronhickmott definitely...but we could both keep listing bands all day really! The Angels, Tame Impala, Spiderbait, The Living End, Crowded House, Frenzal Rhomb, Grinspoon, John Butler Trio and so on and so on...
Thanks for the suggestion - it's on the list! Thanks for watching - more Tool coming soon. (Feel free to Sub to keep up to date on new videos). Cheers :)
It's on the list. I'm wondering with to play her the album version first though, just purely because the rest of the band are so far back in the Drum vid. What do you think?
@@RDMusicExchange I would do drum cam first. There are plenty of other tool songs to listen to for the first time, but only the one drum cam video. That video is so well produced and his playing is so melodic that you almost don't need the other 3. For this one video only though lol. I wish they had a guitar cam video, a bass cam video and a mic cam video.
@@RDMusicExchange Personally, I almost always recommend the studio versions over the live version for first listens and Pneuma is no exception. The studio version is just so exquisite. The drum cam video makes for a great follow-up to see how Danny actually does his magic.
That's a very tricky question! There was a real evolution of the band from "straighter" (for want of a better word) alternative rock to the more progressive experimental stuff. I would say AEnima is the best crossover point, the album where they started pushing the boundaries of their musicality. It's also got some banging tunes on it, including my favourite "Forty Six & 2". Enjoy!
Hi, thanks for the suggestion. I don't actually know Rush that well, so it may be a while before we cover it on this channel. I'll check it out though. Cheers
Good go of it, guys. As a couple you might have chemistry, but... If you really wanna be supercool yet unexposed UA-cam reactors? Well, you've really gotta be completely ignorant of the music you're reacting to. If that makes any sense. For instance, as white Australian people, you oughta be listening to American rap or R&B. That's why black folks are currently ruling this particular corner of the social media-verse. No disrespect.
I saw someone comment on this song " If this is not played at my funeral , I'm not going". I agree totally.
Thanks for watching!
I have loved this band since 1993
