Love the Foo! Dave is a genuine rock god! Great story of him falling off the stage and breaking his leg early in a show, early in their tour. He completed the lengthy show with the doctor holding his leg together. He then continued the tour while sitting on a throne of guitars. You should look it up!
OMG I totally forgot about that....A total rock warrior as he was supposedly in quite a bit of pain during that show and the rest of the tour. Their is a certain joy/optimism with Dave and you can tell its just so genuine. I feel bad that he has had to endure the loss of two great bandmates, but Taylor had to hit him hard as Kurt was known to be a distant type, while Dave and Taylor always both said they were like soul brothers.
I still think you need to check out the Dropkick Murphys, a Boston based band that combines Irish folk with punk rock. Might be a good St. Patrick's Day project in a couple of months.
Rather than Emo lets say Alt rock, grunge or hard rock. Absolutely amazing band with tons of great songs. Listen to everything by them. Since you liked The Pretender you will find dozens of songs in that vein as well as other types of rock.
Back in the 60s and 70s we just called it rock or hard rock. In the '90s, Alternative Rock was new hard rock. Classic Rock was 60s and 70s hard rock. It was all rock. In the 80s, kids listened to 60s and 70s music because the 80s music was vapid wretch. Then there was a lot of the 2000s and 2010s when rock sort of died out. Except for bands like The Warning.
Great reaction Diane! Foo Fighters have long been one of my favourite bands and this song is my fav from them. Glad you liked it! If I can suggest another band to react to, the band The Warning is a great rock band with music in a similar style to the Foo Fighters. The Warning have opened for the Foo Fighters before in their home country of Mexico and are going on their first full headlining tour of Europe in April. They toured Europe last year doing festivals and opening for various bands including Muse, who invited them to come to England to open for them after hearing them when they opened for Muse in Mexico. The Warning consists of three sisters, Daniella (lead guitar and vocals), Paulina (Drums and vocals), and Alejandra (Bass guitar and backing vocals). They sing mostly in English, but do have a couple of Spanish songs in their repertoire. I'll warn you (pun intended) that they are incredible even though they are still quite young (the youngest sister will turn 19 next month), and they are incredible musicians and song writers. All their songs are good, but try starting off with Dust to Dust, Choke, Animosity, or Survive. The Warning rabbit hole is quite deep. 😀
Watching you react to one of my all-time favorite bands, has been a treat. The joy in your face was fantastic. Now just listen to the infected mushroom cover of the pretender.
Chewie was sad. He could see how much you were enjoying the music. But he doesn't have headphones. He would like some treats and a nice walk to make up for it. 🙂 Everyone have a wonderful day.
Foo Fighters song Everlong is used in the movies Wolf of Wall Street and briefly in Little Nicky while Nicky is ascending in the air from his girlfriend's apartment building scene.
Foo Fighters Yes 👍Dave Grohl is a not just cool but a really nice guy. Apparently he had barbecues for firefighters that were battling wildfires. Also: Diane your playfulness with Chewie is so adorable and heartwarming. Take care from Vancouver BC 🇨🇦
On top of this.... check out PRINCE who thought so much of David Grohl / Foo Fighters that he played Best of You during the super bowl. A TRUE Recognition of talent.
Happy Friday Diane! I'm not too up on the Foo Fighters or any of their music. I'm an 80s baby so I tend to gravitate more towards the music that I grew up on. This band has a pretty good sound to them and it looked like you were jamming out to them. I always enjoy your reactions to new music that you never listened to before. Glad you enjoyed them. Have a great weekend and a blessed month. Be well and rock on dearie! 😎👍❤️🎉🙂
You are fine, Diane. Now you have just found another world. I love that you compared them to "Emo". Well yeah their music is emotional. They are intense. I hope you listen more to one of the greatest bands in Rock's history. "Everlong" is one of my favorite songs ever. You really should do a video reaction of it.
I have more songs from Foo Fighters on my playlist right now than any other band. Currently at 15. They aren't my #1 favorite band, but you might consider them my favorite since I've never liked 15 songs from any other band this much. I've liked their old songs my whole life. In my opinion, their older songs are good, but their new songs are f###### AMAZING!!! Their best new songs in order for me are: 1. Love Dies Young. First time I heard it was a few months ago in a popular Asian restaurant in Tulsa that is very family-friendly. It's called Roku. 2. Rescued 3. Under You 4. Making A Fire Plus, Dave Grohl is just an all around great dude! I feel like you would love a band called The Killers, so I'm recommending them. They are my favorite band. I'm guessing you also like Flogging Molly as much as I do as well, so that also makes me want to request a very popular band among emo and goth people called My Chemical Romance.
When this came out, they were all married and either had kids or had ones on the way. They would take their families with them to the summer festivals. Their drummer struggled with drugs off and on and the cause of death was never revealed. Dave’s mom was very close and died about 6 months after Taylor. Dave’s daughter sings and Taylor’s son drums. They regularly headline festivals (Glastonbury) and sold out Wembley more than once. They’re amazing live! Just regular guys who make great music.
The Foo Fighters music video on the airplane was probably for "Learn to Fly" and I think it featured Jack Black. It's kind of funny. You should also react to their "Everlong" music video. It's probably my favorite song of theirs.
Love the Foo Fighters! Thanks, Diane! Dave Grohl is super talented. More or less taught himself to play guitar and drums, singing came naturally. Besides Foo Fighters and Nirvana, he has done collabs with lotsa others. It's so much fun watching you discover music that I enjoy. Rock On, Irish Girl! Let's Dance!
Aww that’s great to hear. I enjoy the feel of it being like when i share a funny video I’ve seen with someone and they laugh. I guess it’s like that for ye
The Foo Fighters' music was my saving grace as a teenager. You should get their album "The Colour and the Shape" and just listen to it from beginning to end.
Dave Group was born in my hometown of Warren, Ohio. The day the city dedicated an alley to him, Dave showed up and played a couple of songs on acoustic guitar. A few years ago, Foo Fighters played locally in a small store for Record Store Day. The band then went to Dave Grohl Alley for photos.
Saw them in concert after this album came out - it was incredible. Dave Grohl is such a nice guy, he used to hang out at my hometown beach in the 2000's. Super chill and friendly :)
Try listening to the other Foo Fighter songs This is a call, Best of You, Everlong, Times Like These, Big Me, My Hero, Learn To Fly, Rock and Roll(Led Zeppelin song).
I'm sure someone else has said, but I don't wanna look for the comment, so I'll say it again. 😊 The video you're thinking of is Learn To Fly. I love this song. One of my other favorites is Best of You.
When I was young, back when dinosaurs ruled the earth. I was the same way about disco music. I liked rock and had no time for disco... Now I find disco fun, enjoyable and wonder why I had to be so tribal about my musical tastes.
Yep! The Foo Fighters liked it so much, they asked them to open some of their shows on tour. The Warning have become an unbelievable performance band. Their official live concert videos of 22 songs at Teatro Metropolitan, 08/29/2022, are "god level awesome," as one reviewer put it.
Truth be told you should listen to one of your fellow country men Rory Gallagher he was so ahead of his time great guitar player, died way to young, his Irish tour is so unbelievably he has a video of acoustic guitar and his voice on British TV is absolutely incredible
I can try with this there was as u know bands from Great Britain in the 60s the time I grew up Beatles were the bench mark great music then came the late 60s bands like Taste, Rory first band then his his solo career and off he went, also at that time was Led Zeppelin, but a band in 67 I followed until this very day Jethro Tull seen them 30 times you want to travel down a rabbit hole listen to their first album “This was” to every thing after Ian Anderson brilliant he’s Scottish they started in Black Pool in the 60s that’s your home work assignment for today let me know if I can help you along the way be well Merry Christmas to you also
diane? i really enjoy watching you get into the music. you start dancing without even thinking about it. there is something about it that is so natural and pure and it just makes me smile. for just a few minutes i forget my troubles and enjoy watching you be happy. thank you. be well.

I love watching you find something new that you like. 👍 🎉
I’m so so glad you like them!! I love this group!
There's a very good reason why Dave(lead singer) is a twice inductee to the Rock and Roll hall of fame
Watching you react to one of my all-time favorite bands, has been a treat. The joy in your face was fantastic. Now just listen to the infected mushroom cover of the pretender.
The energy this song and video gives off is contagious. I have this added onto my "running playlist"
Oh you’ve just stumbled into an AMAZING rabbit hole of goodness!!
The escalation in this song is the best I have ever heard, constant and unique.
Chewie was sad. He could see how much you were enjoying the music. But he doesn't have headphones. He would like some treats and a nice walk to make up for it. 🙂
Everyone have a wonderful day.
You definitely gotta hear Best Of You, Everlong, Learn to Fly, My Hero. Those are some Foo classic necessities
Isn't it nice how our taste change as we get older I like it
Your beautiful Diane! Very beautiful! Don't ever think your not, I bet your a really nice person to.
Seeing them live is the best. You. Must. Go. High energy fun for two+ hours! 🔥
Best of You is my favorite. RIP Taylor
Your journey down the Foo Fighters path will only get better from here!!!
🤘🏻
@@DianeJennings 😎👍
I’ve got tickets to see them this spring
This song came out about the time I turned 16 and got my first car. Just iconic windows rolled down blasting this around town late at night ❤
You can call Rock any name, but if it rocks it's ROCK!
Their best new songs in order for me are:
1. Love Dies Young. First time I heard it was a few months ago in a popular Asian restaurant in Tulsa that is very family-friendly. It's called Roku.
2. Rescued
3. Under You
4. Making A Fire
Plus, Dave Grohl is just an all around great dude!
I feel like you would love a band called The Killers, so I'm recommending them. They are my favorite band.
I'm guessing you also like Flogging Molly as much as I do as well, so that also makes me want to request a very popular band among emo and goth people called My Chemical Romance.
Great song and one of the greatest Rock videos. Each works together synergistically, to bring both to a much higher level.
Legendary reaction to the Foo's, brilliant to watch 🤘👍
Its such a joy to watch u enjoy something new to u
You should check out Everlong or My Hero...two of Foo's most popular and moving songs
I'm proud of ya! from Britney to Foo-Fighters nice. They have so many great songs and videos "Learning to Fly" is one of the best music videos ever.
They have a pretty sizable catalog . Worth a dive.
Their live shows are some of the best! Pure energy and a good time🤘❤🤟!
One of the most genuine reactions ever! Nicely Done!
If Diane likes this version, she'll love it live when she sees they've added a Orchestral String Quartet to the song.
I love The Pretender Music.
They done put her onto some HEAT.
HAHAHAhAHAHAHAHA that jaw drop, the head bop, the dancing finger points and just joy is awesome. Thank you for a GREAT reaction!
gee...dear dorki...haha...good to see ya come to your senses... and listen to the foo fighters....
Saw them in concert after this album came out - it was incredible. Dave Grohl is such a nice guy, he used to hang out at my hometown beach in the 2000's. Super chill and friendly :)
Wow, you just picked my favorite Foo Fighters song to start with. Good choice.
fave foo's song is everlong , but only the live versions lol, glastonbury 2017 is excellent , especially the end piece
The 1st time I heard this song was a cover by The Warning...I love both versions!
And absolutely fabulous cover. Love The Warning!
Yep! The Foo Fighters liked it so much, they asked them to open some of their shows on tour. The Warning have become an unbelievable performance band. Their official live concert videos of 22 songs at Teatro Metropolitan, 08/29/2022, are "god level awesome," as one reviewer put it.
my most favorite song. thank you
Great reaction! Great band! They have stood the test of time, for sure. And I forgive you for calling the Foo Fighters emo 😂
Truth be told you should listen to one of your fellow country men Rory Gallagher he was so ahead of his time great guitar player, died way to young, his Irish tour is so unbelievably he has a video of acoustic guitar and his voice on British TV is absolutely incredible
@officialDiane- hi Diane I’m here what can I help you with?
I can try with this there was as u know bands from Great Britain in the 60s the time I grew up Beatles were the bench mark great music then came the late 60s bands like Taste, Rory first band then his his solo career and off he went, also at that time was Led Zeppelin, but a band in 67 I followed until this very day Jethro Tull seen them 30 times you want to travel down a rabbit hole listen to their first album “This was” to every thing after Ian Anderson brilliant he’s Scottish they started in Black Pool in the 60s that’s your home work assignment for today let me know if I can help you along the way be well Merry Christmas to you also
The Foo Fighters were a hit factory for quite a few years. Dave could write catchy songs. Very catchy songs.
diane? i really enjoy watching you get into the music. you start dancing without even thinking about it. there is something about it that is so natural and pure and it just makes me smile. for just a few minutes i forget my troubles and enjoy watching you be happy. thank you.
be well.
Foo Fighters "Learn to Fly" is a great song and a fantastic video.
Can't wait to see which dress you picked for London. Have the Patreons & Channel members swayed your choice? Safe travels!
Both! Showing mom tomorrow and she can choose between 2
Happy Friday Diane! I only know a couple of Foo Fighters songs. My Sister is a big Foo Fighters fan though. And yes this is my new sign in! But it'll still have the same silly jokes. Boop!
Happy Friday… did you change your Alias?
You most definitely need to hear the song .. Wild Thing by the Troogs. This song is a must
