Dave is the Keanu Reeves of rock. A genuine person that if you met would never realize was a part of TWO of the most influential bands of the last 50 years. His good reputation is almost on par with his musical reputation

Dave Grohl was Nirvana's drummer. He's also a genuine good guy and is much appreciated in the music industry (so i've heard and i believe it).

My heart goes to Dave. As a drummer, he lost his frontman and as a frontman, he'd lost his drummer.
My parents used to listen their old music and their parents their old music, but I think Madonna made a great tribute to the song 'American Pie' referring to the death of three at the time stars, but sometimes even new, this not beeing the up to date list song, but true and still meaningful songs can raelly move you and not just with some god afwul jibberish. There is a big difference...
No wonder the Song is titled as 'Pretender'... That is what is all about and hence the fury...
After Curt Cobains suicide these guys went on... not that Curt wasn't a very influencal person.
One of my top ten favorite bands of all-time, and I got to meet Dave on the street about 15 years ago and told him so. He lived up to his reputation as the nicest guy in rock and roll and we talked to him and his lovely, late mother, Virginia, for about 5 minutes. I've seen them live 3x and have tickets to their show here in Los Angeles next August (side note: when the hell did we have to start buying tickets to shows almost a year in advance??). You've definitely got an amazing rabbit hole to go down through 11 albums and so many amazing songs. And, can't close out the comment without a RIP to 'the hawk'. How amazing it was that a band started by one of the greatest drummers ever found another one. The tribute concerts in Taylor's memory were amazing and showed how many people love Taylor, Dave, and the band. Can't wait for more reactions to this amazing band.
Foo Fighters are the only band for me that hooks me with everything they put out. If I was allowed only one group to listen to, it would be them.

had the pleasure of seeing them live, unfortunately it was one of the first sets after their drummer passed away, but still it was an amazing show!

This brings me back to when I was in Military service, it illustrates an immovable wall smashing into another immovable object. I was on both side, Riot control and later as Riot itself! Great lesson in military. 👍

I got chuckle when you described "the guy" as "mean." He plays one of the nicest characters (Captain Awesome) on the tv show "Chuck."
The energy of this video is nonstop for two+ hours at their concerts. Fantastic and exhausting!!! Go see them!

Lucy, there is another FABULOUS song that i GUARANTEE YOU WILL LOVE - it’s called “ Learn To Fly” another energising song by the Foo Fighters. Now, step out the circle n listen to this song( learn to fly” n see it done by a group of people numbering up to ONE THOUSAND, Yes, 1,000. It’s an organisation called
“ Rock 1,000) . The have a number of songs out from different singers but they have 1,000 people playing n singing. Imagine a few hundred drummers , a few hundred guitarists n same in singers, - it’s frigging AWESOME

Agreed 🙏🏾 Saw them in Melbourne last week and it was bittersweet, but Josh really is an amazing drummer, couldn’t have asked for a better drummer to play Foo songs while adding his own little spin on things ✌🏾

Many may not think about what happemns to a band when the singer is right down dead. David Grohl who was a drummer made a perfect move. He contiuned where Nirvana ended in style. More of a rock ofc as he is a dreummer, but can yell out normal guys from the bars or so in any second, so he can sing... that's for sure. Exceptional musicians usually can graft more than one instrument and sing. Not too often thouhgh a drummer can be a vocalist too. Reminds me of Phil Collins in that way. His live perfomance of 'In The Air Tonight' is legendary. But drummers can do music as well... not only the led guitarist or the singer or vocalist. And this is exactly where the biggest bands always fail... too many ego's in one band.

It's crazy to see someone reacting to the Foo Fighters for the first time as I just assume everyone knows of them. Dave Grohl, the lead Singer/Guitarist was the drummer with 'Nirvana' who you also need to check out. I'm kinda getting a feel for what you like. Do yourself a favour and check out 'Rage Against the Machine' maybe start wth 'Bulls on Parade' to ease you into their energy! A great female artist to listen to that I think you will dig is 'Alanis Morrisette' and the band named 'Garbage' with Shirley Manson who I also think you'll like.
