You are so right about that cable -- and about the microphone. Tell it! And I'm glad to see you got it off the tabletop and up closer to your mouth, on a sturdy arm with a sturdy base. That is definitely the way to make the most of it.

Hands down best usb mic, I've tried even expensive mics, definitely recommend this easy to use and sounds amazing with a little processing!

It took a while alright. They couldn’t get the mics from Samson. But, you know, patience is a virtue and all that. Anyway, couldn’t be happier now.
I like the versatility of the mic. I am Able to to hook up my digital mixer into this mic. I lucked out I got mine off Facebook market place for 60 dollars, I just put a pop filter on mine too. I’m looking to make a video of the pop filter I put on. Good vid

@@rashadjones The only downside is that the microphone is picky shock mount wise. Samson parts are not widely available in Canuckistan.
bro I bought the same samson g track pro but it was taking a hell lot noise and the headphone connector was also like If I put the headphone jack full fit than sound was coming low and wrong kind of output like background was louder than the main voice, like center voice was faded but background was loud, if putting the jack half then it was all great sound output,
but after watching you video I think I need to change the cable which came with the mic and then try it again, I hope it will fix the issue

Great review. I have the same Samson and the mic is amazing. But I had it in the stand for almost 2 years and now I literally just got the Boom arm. Now I have a question. What are you using to hold the mic? I want to buy the Samson sp04 shock mount. But I feel is to big? What piece are you using? I like it, It looks simple and now to bulky like the shock mount might look
Tbh, I had it on a regular mic stand. I currently have it on the supplied mount.

Excellent mic but I'm struggling to find a boom stand because it's so heavy. What model Samson stand and boom arm are you using please? Also are you using a shock mount?
I recently got this mic, and sometimes it will randomly start blasting scratchy or distorted audio through my headphones when they are plugged into the back of the microphone, and other times it causes an error with my audio driver, yet 95% of the time it's usually fine. Did you have similar problems before replacing the cable, or do you think it could be because of the cable?
Your first place to look is the cord. It was really finicky and distorted. Some of my recordings were terrible, but it’s been consistently great after I changed the cord.
Is the usb-cable you linked in the description the one you replaced the old one with for the mic?

Do you have any experience with the Hyper x quad cast ? If so do you think the G Track Pro is worth getting over that?

I have the samson MBA48 boom arm for my g-track pro, but i need an adapter to fit the threads of the gtrack pro, and i have no idea which one to get, can anyone help?
Your mic should have came with an adapter to fit your boom. But try this...

I just bought this mic, the first one came with a problem on the P2 jack monitor, so I changed it for another one and now, this one works fine. But still, there is a problem with this microphone making a sort of static noise, sometimes sounds like wind, when connected to my computer. Is this related to the cable problem you mentioned? The noise is really annoying, and the microphone is brand new, just bought it 5 days ago.
It’s possible. I would still change it, so you can rule that out.
Also, make sure you consider the ambient noises in your room, i.e., hvac. The mic is really sensitive to picking up sounds, especially on omni mode. You may have to turn down the mic volume and bring it up in post. These are just some things to think about. Good luck!
The Samson G Track Pro there’ are a problem if you use it in windows system.
I bought a Samson G Track Pro micophone, the day before yesterday. My operating system is used on WINDOWS 10. I found that the microphone recording volume was abnormally low and the settings did not work. I was very disappointed. I borrowed a Macbook from my friend, and i can tell that, the Mac systems is working correctly and there is nothing unusual.
That’s interesting. I don’t have a Windows device to even check that. I’m curious to see if anyone else has this issue.

I can’t vouch for that, but it does have an instrument jack.

I have a mini boom arm in the description of this video that works pretty good for my purposes. You might need a counterbalance weight depending on the angle.

For what I needed it for, yes. Being able to have the bi-directional mic was crucial until I could upgrade my setup.

It works for the Mac. You’ll just have to select the audio output device to the mic. Can’t confirm Windows.

It really depends on your setup. Now I have it on my desktop, using the stand it come with. I know Blue and Rode make good boom arm desk stands.
i just got it and my mic everytime i use the mic monitoring its very low in audio and bad quality and sometimes my mic is static when i talk do u think there is any way to fix it

I don’t own on PC, but last I checked, Windows doesn’t play well with the device. A lot of people say it’s a driver issue. Sorry I can’t be of more assistance 😔

hey , i got my samson g track pro usb microphone two days ago and today i noticed that the green light keeps turning off when im not recording or doing anything even tho the computer is turned on and the green light lights again when i want to record or when i open the sound settings i want to know if there would be any issues with the microphone
I would consider buying a new cable. The cable that comes with it is notoriously bad. If that doesn’t work, than you might have a bad mic. However, it’s probably just the cable.

That light should remain green. As far as your computer, I really think it the cord, because the mic is made for usb computer setups.
