deggis4 if that’s what it takes to get a much longer, more in depth episode, then yes, absolutely. I would straight up pay to watch 2 hours of these for each race and everything it takes to race like this. It is my dream as well and I know it is unlikely it will ever happen for me so living vicariously through someone else is all I have.

Awesome. I was so sad for him. He seemed to be so gentle, not bragging at all and really wanted to learn. He was so desperate because of the mistakes he made. You can tell the guy put A LOT of pressure on himself. I really loved the actor for the amazing playing he had and also the fact that he selected really good movies. I'm so impressed that he took so much risks to live his dream. He really get out of his confort zone.
Congratulations Michael, you will learn as everyone and become good at it.

Mr. Fassbender is one of my favorite actors and as a 2019 Porsche GT2 RS owner who has done some solo DE runs at the big four tracks in Fl. (Homestead, Palm Beach, Sebring and Daytona) I am a pretty big Porsche Motorsports fan and I find this series incredibly interesting. I realize he is getting professional instruction and Porsche factory support so is in a very unique and inviable position that the normal guy wanting to go racing would not have, but regardless I give him enormous credit for trying to get up to speed so quickly on the race track. Most of the other top of their class racers have been racing since they were kids and the skills and motorized muscle memories are engrained to the point that they have a great deal of knowledge and skill to lean on when moving up in class. Whereas Michael is trying to learn it in just a couple years as a middle aged adult...that is not easy at all.
Solid content. Definitely following the series.
Props to Michael for following his passions and getting out there and making it happen!!! The fact that he seems to be solid with Porsche just makes it that much cooler! Best wishes, sir, for a podium at Sarthe in an RSR!!!

@@DrinkWater713 while yes, that film was made recently, it focuses on one of battles from the glory days of Le Mans. I think Pilkie is talking about if they made a movie with today's cars, drivers, sponsorships, etc.

The genuine happiness when he said he's going back out was awesome. I really like this and I wish you guys make it a much more detailed, longer series like Netflix does with F1.
This really needs to be 30mins long per episode. Most enthusiast drivers want to be where Michael is right now. But also a brutal learning environment. Epic series. Come on Porsche.

Fascinating journey to watch. Remember seeing Michael Fassbender sat and chatting with the Motorsport guys in the Porsche Experience Centre @ Le Mans 24 in 2018, most likely plotting this very journey.

I’m happy that he’s doing the things he like now, but god I miss him on the big screen. He deserved the Oscar back in ‘hunger’.
But this is his life choice and I am happy that he’s good at everything he chooses to put effort in.
Love Fassbender and this series is great! Wish it was much longer per episode though. Love to see him exploring his other passions besides acting.
Love the first person narrative from Michael Fassbender. It's like you're right there w/ him. Awesome.
This is why the Pros learning in lower classes and work their way up. He's doing a lot of learning of the basics up at the upper end where the stakes and the expenses are a lot higher. Still... Takes a lot of balls to jump in like this. Kudos to that.

Have you not seen many interviews with him before or something? To me, his accent is predominantly Irish and in certain words you hear a German twang coming through.

Fassbender always seems so authentic and radiates such a raw honesty that you can't even hate him for having everything most men would want. I wish him fun and success on this road

Always thought he was a decent actor and watched most of his movies. But now that he is following his passion and apparently serious about racing, coupled with Porsche's support, I just elevated him to my "must watch" list. Every luck and good wish on your new journey Michael!!
unfortunaltelyt Tesla has made porsche redundant, especially with the CT who will beat the porsche with another porsche on the back, and also with Elon Musk FSD, car drivers will not be needed soon, so future races will only AI such as grok or xAI winning every race

Racing seems to be a rich man's sport. I always think about how many great potential race car drivers there are in the world who will never have an opportunity to race because they're too poor. Nothing against guys like Fassbender though. It's pretty cool to see him get that opportunity. Plus he's got a great race car driver name.
