Dean Stockwell is such a great actor! Love him! ❤ If a TV show or movie is lacking, he brings it to a higher level. Battlestar Galactica hasn't really been my cup of tea. However, his presence on the show changes that. He makes it much more compelling.
I only just now learned that Dean Stockwell suffered a stroke in 2015, and while he seems to have recovered, he has since retired from acting. Damn shame.
Cavil is the classic case of being right for very wrong reasons. We should in fact be more than what we are, but not because of the superficial desires Cavil expresses here.
I agree with him too but I don't know why you're saying "We." He is a machine unnecessarily created to imitate humans. His dissatisfaction is understandable on that front but I don't know how you can conflate it with the plight of humans since there's nobody we can truly blame/thank for the cards we're dealt with.
Thinking about the introduction of "All Along the Watchtower" and the implications. What if? What if we are descendents of some ancient race from beyond the stars?
Understandable, if I was a machine, I would definitely love see something beyond the visible light spectrum. But the way he goes about his dissatisfication is wrong or at best quiestionable.
You are making a mistake in your basic reasoning : assuming that curiosity and drive to experience the world is inherent only to human mind. Just like final five, you think that AI needs to become human to become better - and that is naive, anthropocentric way of thining.
Rest in peace, Dean. You were a true legend of an actor, and you'll never be forgotten.
May he finally experience all the wonders out there :')
Farewell, Dean. RIP.
RIP Dean Stockwell.
Isn't that the human desire to be more than what we are.
One of the best scenes of acting in all fiction. Bravo 👏🏻!
Stockwell was never better than he was in BSG. In this scene, he had me resenting my own gelatinous orbs and prehensile paws. (I got over it.)
this is like Carl Sagan on speed
R.I.P Dean Stockwell 💮

spectacular
A child desperate to overcome the limits put on him by his parents
LaMario well said.
Rest in peace dean.
RIP.. See you on the resurrection ship my friend.
This is extremely well written dialogue.
So say we all, sadlly
I knew it had to be this scene..

Riposa in pace, ho ammirato la tua parte in bsg.
I find myself agreeing with him... We could have been a lot more, instead we're just pathetic bugs with delusions of grandeur.
You are more, you and others are being held back

We must learn to FULLY utilize the capabilities of these regenerative machines we call bodies

Ask ziggy to show you
😂
R.I.P🙏🏾
If Kant complained.
I do kind of agree with him however the human body is more capable than most currently understand.

someone needed a hot cup of coffee
Hate it, love it, think the end was stupid: you cant deny the acting from most of the cast and the characters (and the music and visuals)
The ending was basically how they spelled out how it was going to end in the first movie. I liked it.
#1 HAD to have been Saul’s Idea...
“well, we’re gonna need an old man... frak.”
Understandable, if I was a machine, I would definitely love see something beyond the visible light spectrum. But the way he goes about his dissatisfication is wrong or at best quiestionable.
Dude is pure ham
This scene reminds me of the movie Blade Runner (1982). Rutger Hauer was amazing!

❤️❤️
RIP
Can anyone tell me what episodes dean was in I watched 2 from season 2 couple from season 3 now I'm lost a list would be helpful
Those who smelt it dealt it.
👏👏👏
Cylon snowflakes
Missed his best line: FRAK!
idk why this scene reminds me of Detroit Become Human
Somebody, give him a pacifier.
Shut up. He's being unreasonably angry and entitled but there are many of us who understand his dissatisfaction with inexplicable limitations
Bitter child that his mommy and daddy aren't rich
I don't like your reduction. I find his complaint perfectly valid: If he doesn't have to be born human, why create him with their limitations?
@@Onigirli Because then he'd be mad as heck about what he has to see and others don't.
But the only reason he wants to see and feel all of that is because he is human so idk maybe I am seeing it the wrong way
You are right, but he didn't know it. A machine would not be bothered with a super nova.

@@marianpazdzioch6632 You're forgetting the Final Five made them human because that's what the Centurion Cylons wanted them to do.
