The Adama maneuver is hands down the most badass combat maneuver in Sci Fi. Picard can keep his Picard maneuver. I’ll take Adama any day of the week. SO SAY WE ALL!!!
@@LabradorIndependent Now you sound like someone with their head screwed on that I’d like to know! Ugh, season 2 was worse? How is that even possible?!? Jesus. I’ve only seen a few episodes of “Lower Decks”, but thought it was great. A friend is in Disco, so I don’t watch that as often as I should although I love what I’ve seen (first 3 seasons I think). What’s the other show with Anson Mount like? PS: I still can’t believe that Picard got green-lit for a THIRD season and other shows far better to it never make it past their first… 🫤
This show was so grim that I quit watching it when it first aired. Then, I saw Jon Stewart award Ronald D. Moore the PEABODY for Outstanding Writing and gave it another shot, and listened to Ron explain WHY it's so dark. I am so grateful that I did. Ron writes great *characters* and Bear's music is the best frakking tv OST ever! I just started my 14th DVD rewatch since Covid and my 17th overall rewatch. My favorite scene is Gaius' "I see Angels" speech.✌
@@richardmoloney689 Really? Well it was for me. I too was happy to watch the new show when it first aired, then quickly lost interest in it. Even the cylons looked dull compared to the brilliantly polished and glinting originals.
@@tryarunm Sorry to respond so late. I'm a GenXer who grew up with the OG BSG. As a kid in the late 70s, there was nothing more terrifying to me than masks, and there was no shortage of them in 70s media, (Jason Vorhees, Michael Myers, Darth Vader) so the Cylons used to be the stuff of nightmares! @@elementxxrider I thought “goofy updated 70s sci-fi? Really? Buddy told me “watch the first 3 episodes, and stop. I was unable to comply. It was satisfyingly humbling. I had to thank him haha
I think ‘best moments’ should have been a more exhaustive list, but these were some good ones. I would have included: - Admiral Cain. Every moment with her was awesome. - Lee saving Galactica by jumping in with Pegasus - Adama staring down the baseship by arming his nukes during ‘Eye of Jupiter’ - Jumping away from the Ceylon base, Galactica breaking her back, and finding our Earth
Good list. Would also add the scene at the end of Pegasus when Adama answers the phone about the court martial. The music and intensity still give me the shivers.
For my "Best Moment" list, I would have included: Laura Roslin: "I AM COMING FOR YOU!" Cavil's Lament where he expresses hatred for being trapped in a frail human body Galactica and Pegasus unite Col. Tigh, Tyrol, Tory and Anders discover they are Cylons Apollo's "forgiven" speech at the trial of Gaius Baltar The death and resurrection of Kara Thrace Gaeta saved from being executed by airlock Just about everything about the series finale episode There's probably more I can't think of at the moment... and I'll probably face-palm when I remember something else I like and forgot to include...
The moment where adama breaks down while painting his quarters. The moment where adama shaves his mustache. Baltars speech towards the end of the series: “Love your faults. Embrace them. If God embraces them, then how can they be faults? Love yourself. You have to love yourself. If we don't love ourselves, how can we love others? And when we know what we are, then we can find the truth out about others, seek what they are; the truth about them. And you know what the truth is? The truth about them? About you? About me? Do you? The truth is, we're all perfect. Just as we are. God only loves that which is perfect and he loves you. He loves you because you are perfect. You are perfect. Just as you are.”
The shows good from beginning to end only problem now Is the cgi looks video game like. I’d be in favour of a remaster where they upgrade all the cgi for a 4K Blu Ray release. Especially for the mini series and season one cgi could be updated.
You can't put all of Galactica's best scenes in one 13 minute video. There are just too many. The Adama manoeuvre was one of those scenes that just made you think WTF?
Love the series. Hate this channel. It’s completely pointless, and it undermines the whole point of investing in the series - both financially and personally. One of the most frustrating things about being a BSG fan is seeing the ip handled like this with such disregard.
Can people stop comparing Picard and Adama? Both have performed ballsy maneuvers true , but your forgetting one thing folks.......if there was no star trek there wouldn't be BSG star trek did it all first. BSG came long after. Face fax.
Why didn't Adama nuke the Basestars? Battlestar Galactica has plenty of nukes, enough for 4 Basestars. And basestars doesn't have Anti-Air for soem reason.

“Picard” was absolute drivel. Definitely won’t be watching season 2.
how rude.
@@BananaCologne Season 2 if you can believe it was actually worse. Strange New Worlds at least has been outstanding so far.

Reality can oftentimes be disappointing for our expectations. Sometimes though, it's for the better rather than for the worse.

Nice detail having the Viper cockpit cams shaking around after the Adama maneuver, since there's air turbulence suddenly.
