💀💀🙏Tim Lambesis hired a hitman to murder his wife👻👻🎃
@@JaMeshuggah And he did his time, soooooo.....?
Now you have to invite Synyster Gates
Metalcore fan or not, this is the sweetest, most genuine dude ever. Chill AF...... Glad to see him happy and smiling again 🤘
The metal community is too far up its own ass. I say this as a lifelong metal head. From metal heads hating on metallica for daring to evolve in the Black album and Load etc. Or hating on them for cutting their hair. To hating on metalcore etc. It gets tiring. Listen to whatever the fuck you like and let others listen to shit they like.
@@Grimeyhoob Metal Elities fucking annoys me. Even Jeff Hanneman used to listened the band B52s😂
O K yeah Tom Araya was a fan of Beatles and Rolling Stones. Kerry King listens to Elton John and the Eagles. Dave Lombardo plays with the Misfits. Thing is good music is good music - it doesn’t matter what genre it is. I love everything from Slayer to Bob Marley
Do we know what he’s doing post AILD?
yeap, he seems a really normal guy to talk with. Nice interview!
Nick always comes off as the most awesome, genuine dude.
As I lay Dying are absolute riff masters!
Very
It really sucks, Nick left the band
@@killswitchhaveyear5582 yea bro :( he's one hell of a lead guitar player I'm disappointed they all act so so childish and have personal resentment within each other
Wait for an official statement though
@@killswitchhaveyear5582 Yeah man absolutely heartbreaking. You think they're back to stay and now what's going to happen?
Nick talking about the darkest past in the band's history and Ola is playing elevatror music in the backgroung. Legend.
😭😭😂😂
An Ocean Between Us is one of my favorite metal albums, period. Not sure if it was the time in my life when it came out or what, but damn. You can listen to that thing start to finish.
Same,i love that album. The album I feel that way about is Poison the Well's "The Opposite of December". Soooo underrated. Beginning to end. Very underrated band. Sux they aren't around anymore.
Shadows are security will always be my favorite album, but shaped by fire is my second favorite
No that album was fucking awesome. I wore that CD out when it came out!
@@altoid8450 Nerdy still plays in my head often.
great album
I was really hoping that you would have him try a Solar guitar 😂 speaking of, are you ever gonna have people jam on Coffee with Ola? I think it would be cool.
that's always i hope a little jam in the end or trying the solar guitars
I have always wanted more playing on this show. That's not to say that the show is bad. It just could have more guitars and playing :D
If they have an endorsement deal already, there's no way they will be seen playing another guitar.
Henrik Danhage did jam, though.
If they have a deal with other company I think they can't play another guitar brand.
this guy sounds just like Jonah Hill
Never not gonna hear this now. Thanks.
Yessssss
i closed my eyes and there he was hahaha
Shit! He does!
Lmao
Nick's hair is more beautiful than my girlfriend's.
Dude you're lucky to have a girlfriend tbh lol
It looks so soft.
Lol
Nick’s Pantera/Smash Mouth shirt is legendary I want it
Omg!!! I didn’t even realize that bahahahahaha
Wish the interview was longer. Nick Hipa is such a genuine guy.
Ola: "SLA dying"
so Nick,How many good riffs are on the album - Nick: YES hehehehe.Brillaint album!
Nicks skill with the guitar is only matched by his genuine nice guy vibe. Love him!
One of the best guitarists in Metalcore history, yet so humble. Love it!
I adore the way he handled the recent situation like a gentleman, in a calm and reasoned way.
Why would he freak out like a child?
Coffee with Mikael Akerfeldt please!
Yes,and in two versions, one in Swedish and one in English.
@Brad Młodystach We can only hope. I think Mikael has friends in The Haunted too?
PLEAAAAAAAAASE
yes
This! Please!
Nick is one of the most down-to-earth Rock stars you've ever met great guy
hhmmmm maybe because he's not a "Rock Star"
Nick is one of my favorite guitarist. Caught his pick in Chicago after driving 6 hours. Carry it in my wallet everywhere I go lol. Can’t wait for the Cleveland show!
Cleveland!? That's only a few hours away from me. I better get my sh together, lol. Almost went home sick the night Iron Maiden was in Buffalo, NY. Really should have being I never miss work!
Nick is Extremely kind, genuine and personable guy. Regardless of what size as the bands he has played in got. He remained a down to earth personable kind guy to his fans and friend's
Living Sacrifice is amazing! I love that Nick name dropped them! 'REJECT'
Living Sacrifice don't get near enough respect.
Nick is such a genuine dude. So laid back and very surfer dude.
So happy to see him happy again. That was such a dark time for everyone. Glad they are on the road to better days
AHHH! So glad to hear someone talk about Living Sacrifice!
I'm so happy Wovenwar is not dead. I love that band. I wish more bands embraced the idea of heavy metalcore riffs with strictly clean vocals. IMO it brings something much more unique and interesting to the genre and nobody else is really doing it.
Except the lead singer sounds too over processed.
Amen to this! I know a lot of people got turned off by WW. But I absolutely loved both albums. The second album was even better with the aggressiveness but like they were solid albums.
People kept going into it hoping for AILD but they tried something new! But I’m so happy they didn’t scrap the idea of another WW Album
That Smash Mouth/Panthers shirt tho😂
Love Nick. Him and Phil were huge influences on my in high school.
The older I get, the less "genres" make any sense to me...
You're not alone. We just called it Metal or Heavy Metal -when the movie was out.
doesnt help that people started calling post hardcore stuff metalcore.
Well I think it's helpful because I love all kinds of metal but my roommates don't like black metal slam or any core but they're not "metal heads" so when they go with me to shows they will only good it's not black, slam or core. Which is stupid but I mean they know what they like and they just want to have fun and a good time.
It's less about genres and more about people's mindsets towards genres. Theres nothing inherintly wrong with having death metal, black metal, grindcore ect.
@@jjs8426 I can appreciate that. What drives me insane are the arguments about what genre a band fits in and guys getting bent out of shape like they're the only "Genre Expert" in the room. Cheers!
I want a shirt that says "where's the riffs?"
I wish Nick well in his future endeavors after parting with as i lay dying
What an awesome interview, to tell you the truth I knew nothing about this band, and went and watched a video, I must say I was blown away. And seeing this guys attitude made me like them even more! New Fan for As I Lay Dying! Ola bringing the goodness!
Drink a shot every time Nick says sick lol. Awesome interview, big fan of the band!
Yay that coffee with Ola thing is getting better and better! Lovely greets from Nashville everyone, just got here last night battling jet lag now! In Europe my EV guitar tech is on tour with AILD these days haha - small world!
Marc is the best!
Nashville......you should go to Songbird in Chattanooga. UA-cam it. Amazing place full of vintage guitars
Nashville? Get drunk, tell the locals to f@ck off. METAL rules, country drools.
That was rad, thanks Ola. Guest wishlist: COFFEE WITH OLA - Russ Parrish "Satchel."
Oh Hell yeah! Ola, they're playing Stockholm in January, here's your chance!
Awesome dude and band, would've loved to see a longer interview. Hope to see Adam D and/or Joel from Killswitch in the next CWO, they're playing in Stockholm the 30th, just a tip.
Probably won't happen. Ola doesn't like their music so he wouldn't have much to talk about lmao
Would fuckin love to see Adam D!!
When I close my eyes I can hear Kirk Hammet's voice and intonation!
Nick always hyped seeing you around town!
The metal community as a whole is just so full of down to earth people that you almost don't see in any other genre of music...and when you'd think being incredible musicians would grant them the right to be a** holes, they're not. Makes me happy to hear guys like Nick, Jeff Loomis, Dimebag etc...so humble
Nick...dude has been my hero for over a decade favorite guitarist ever!! Fuckin love u nick
That time Ola made a blue balls reference....great stuff, Ola!
Kings of the melkor genre as the CC subtitles say :) I can hear LOTR fans giggle hehe
teehee!
We alredy giggling hahahaha
@@CineAmore07 Yes indeed xD
As I lay dying is one of the best metal bands ever. Banger after banger
First album I bought going into the military after high-school was Frail Words Collapse. It was such a impactful experience, never really heard anything like it besides some vague resemblances to other genres I dabbled in. Wished I could of seen them once during the mid 2000's, but even today I still enjoy this album. Nick is definitely in my list of favorite guitarists.
The first 3/4 Living Sacrifice albums are amazing.
Hi Ola! Just started following your channel a few months ago and it's become one of my favourite to watch. Coffee With Ola is now part of my morning coffee routine and I love your gear reviews and the Will It Chug series. Keep up the great work man, much love from Canada!
I was just watching another Coffee with Ola and a new one comes up while I am watching it. Somethings are meant to be.
I listen to this band everyday when I work out or need some inspiration. I got a chance to interview them at Mayhem Festival 10 years ago. They were on fire. Best band at the show....
Wes Hauch would be perfect for Coffee with Ola, as that would unite the 2 biggest Dimebag fans ever.
METALCORE IS LIFE. it led me to all other heavy genres
Really interesting interview and brave step of you to get somebody from As I Lay Dying for the show.
Ola as always an amazing job on this video. Nick and As I lay dying are so genuine and this video shows just a piece of that. So glad this band is back. Metalcore at its finest.
I absolutely love Nick!!! Thanks Ola, great interview dude👍👍👍🤘🤘🤘
Great interview and Nick seems to be really nice. I am looking forward to see them when they are back in Germany this month :-) Fan from the beginning and still am. Thanks Ola!
Thank you for having Nick, Ola!! I absolutely love the guys in AILD, their show in Stockholm was phenomenal!!
That was the fastest 24 minutes! I would’ve loved another hour of this convo. Can’t believe you got him on.
This is awesome, finally get to see this miracle happen❤️❤️ such humble dudes
I've always loved Nick, writes such bad ass riffs but is also the most genuine kind dude lol
Nick is such a humble dude. Has always been my major influence on or off stage when playing guitar.
The best 'Coffee with Ola' 'til date. Nick is such a awesome guy and AILD are, of course, the kings of metalcore. Amazing content, Ola!
Great episode
Nick seems to be a super nice and genuine dude and he's an amazing guitarist
Nick is actually the best! My favourite coffee with Ola sessions!
What a good dude and a great interview.
Nick is such an awesome guy!
A true "svärmorsdröm"!
Amazing!
I fucking love Nick Hipa, he's such a chilled dude.
This was awesome. Also 400k subscribers, congrats Ola!
If Megadeth ever rolls through, do a coffee with Kiko!
I second this strongly!
Search for Kiko Loureiro Gastão, it's the best interview you ever can watch with the dude
He did! 💪💪💪
Super stoked to see Nick on coffee with Ola. Have only stumbled across As I Lay Dying when they released My Own Grace and they are now my fave Metal band next to KSE so love to see that you enjoyed the new album as much as I did. Love your work Ola. 🤟🏻
Awesome interview !! Dude has a great and humble attitude.
I Agree with others on here I think a jam of some sort would be bring it to another level. lol Thanks ola
Nick is such an awesome dude. I’ve played shows at his place of business a few times and have gotten to talk to him a bit. Very down to earth, very humble. Just a genuinely nice person. Really cool to see him on Coffee with Ola.
Nick Hipa really is the Kirk Hammett of Metalcore.
this was awesome! As I Lay Dying have been one of my favorite bands for a long time
I love this series. Definitely awesome to see Nick on the channel!
Nick Hipa is a great musician! Very creative!
Always a pleasure to follow your interview, sharing the same values and our passion with passionate people : Metal music :)
"As I lay Dying" is an excellent metal band as well!
Nick seems like a cool dude. New album is their Masterpiece!!!!!
Great interview Ola! Love that band so much!
Even in Sweden, you are getting the best guests!
Seen AILD a long time ago with Shadow’s Fall and thought “that was a sick band” but stupidly never followed them. Later on heard about what happened and thought nothing more of it. Watched the discussion video which was heavy to bear witness to in its own right. And without hesitation clicked on the My Own Grave single and was blown away by the music and the delivery on which it was based.
Then a couple videos back Ola mentions listening to the new album and says that the album is solid and has great riffs and leads.
If anyone knows great riffs and leads it’s Ola. Been checking out the album ever since. Like them or not AILD are legit and solid as all fuck, really happy to see them just forging ahead and Nick is such a down to earth guy.
Been waiting for this coffee with Ola since I saw a bit of footage from the AILD vlog. So far my fave episode.
0:07 this cover fuses well with the video background along with Nick and Ola's arms!
i recently discovered Ola's channel and am enjoying combing through all the vids. this was a great chat with a great dude. i enjoy their music. one request: you should add a little segment where the interviewee plays their favorite 3 riffs of their songs and then 3 favies of someone else's songs.
Nick Hipa seems like the nicest and most humble dude. Even though I don't identify as Christian, but growing up in the church, Living Sacrifice was also my introduction to extreme metal. I was about 13 years old.
Whenever you have guests, you introduce me to musicians I may not know. I then gain a connection which inspires me to venture out to their music. Great series Ola.
Ola we need alexi laiho on here. I feel like he definitely doesnt get enough recognition for how good he is beyond Sweden, Norway ect
agreed!!!
UK guitarist here! Totally agree, Alexi's riffs were so inspiring to me as a young musician and that man deserves so much respect !
bummer :/
This made me sad.
Lmao he's dead
Him and Phil are always unbeatable when playing riffs. I cannot forget one video I've watched where they dissect Parallels. From riffs, to the lead playing, everything is topnotch!
Glad to see him using the MJR Sig now, but looking forward to see him with a Solar Single Cut.
Very campy music for such a deep conversation...I LOVE IT!
Great chat Ola! Nick is an awesome dude. Wish it could have been longer but thanks again for having him on Coffee with Ola!!
I still have his guitar pick from a show in PVD when I was in highschool.
I had the chance to have a short talk with THE Nick Hippa in Buenos Aires before the AILD show last september and he's so humble, other AILD members as well, I;m so happy they're back.
Yessss, I fucking love Nick Hipa. My favorite guitarist by far
Nick seems like the greatest dude. So glad you’ve had him on. The new record is the best thing they’ve ever done imo. Such a great time for AILD fans!
Nick Hipa has always been this chill and friendly, welcoming and genuine. I used to go watch him play in bands like Evelynn around 20 years ago in Fort Worth, TX... really great guy. So glad that is able to continue to enjoy his craft and life. Sanuk
Such a friendly, likeable dude! Can’t wait to see them live in December 🤘🏼
I just started listening to some As I Lay Dying stuff recently and hadn't seen any interviews with any of the guys in the band and wow Nick seems like the coolest guy, somebody who I would definitely click with! Can't wait to see who you have on next Ola,ROCK ON MAN and may the Brew be with you 🤘
Nick is seriously one of the best!!!
I'm not a fan of metalcore but I like this guy Nick. He just seems like a sweet dude. Hope he's happy.
Nick has always been a super awesome guy. Glad to see that hasn't changed considering what hes been thru.
It's really nice seeing that Wovenwar isn't a dead thing and that they may do other things in the future! I really enjoyed the band. Also, Nick just seems like the coolest and chillest dude ever, so nice to see him kinda fanboying there in the beginning, hahaha
Possible my favorite episode so far. Enjoyed it. He seems down to earth and laid back. Also very comfortable wearing socks lol.
Nick and his riffs (Wovenwar included) changed my life forever. Metalcore has shaped my life and inspired Within Sight. Thanks Ola, for having coffee with one of my heros
nice one Ola! What a humble, nice dude Nick is...enjoyed that.
Man this band has some of the most classics riffs ever, so fun and catchy
I for one and super happy that as I lay dying is complete again!
